if it's possible to upgrade my laptop's graphics, because I'm attempting to play a few games on it, and it runs them sooo slow. I don't think the Processor or RAM are an issue, but surely the GFX card is. Another thought I had was maybe upgrading my RAM to 2 GB, which could possibly give it a boost because I think my vid card draws some memory from the system?
Did a restore with factory restore disks it doesn't install broadcom BCM94312mcg wireless drivers. when i try to install I get "windows found drivers but encountered an error code 10 have tried everything I know
I Formatted my laptop and installed windows XP (was a successful install) But my problem is....none of my hardware is installed. The WNet doesn't work, Vid Card isn't installed, nor is the Sound Card, and any other hardware that I'm forgetting that also needs to be installed (nothing is installed). I don't have the discs to install them. Can I get the installs for all these online somewhere and burn them to a disc and install on laptop?
Is there anyway to boost the Video memory in Bios on the Aspire 4720Z?
My laptop says it has 384 MB available...But It's only using 10 MB. Is there anyway to increase this to the max, so it will take away from my system memory, which is 2 GB?
Here is a SS.
As you can see...The minimum, maximum, and graphics memory actually in use.
I have an Acer Aspire 4720z notebook and decided to hook it up to my tv. So I got my 7-pin to composite adapter which came with my video card for my desktop and plugged it in to give it a shot to see if it would work and no go, it just won't detect being connected to the tv. I read the manual and searched online to see if this perticular notebook allowed for s-video to composite or if Acer made one for it themselves, again no go. So I was wondering if anyone has this notebook, or the 4710 or 4720 which I think are identical hardware wise, are able to connect one to it and actually get it working?
it uses a mobile intel 965 express graphics chipset.
I have an Acer Aspire 4720Z. Since long I had been using XP. Recently it was formatted and Windows 7 was installed. But after this upgradation, the WLAN is not working. Have banged my head with drivers and all.
Device manager is showing Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi miniport adapter (although with XP it simply showed by the name of WLAN adapter as far as I remember). And checking it's properties it says that the device is working properly. When Intel Wi-Fi Technology is tried to get started, it says that 'A supported intel wireless network adapter not found'.
Looking for a Boot Disk or Start up disk for an Aspire 4720Z or a place to download one. She has been doing finals etc for the past week without it at college.
i have this laptop, great laptop, works great; however, the sd card reader has not worked in ages. I have tried upgrading to new drivers, reloading old drivers, etc etc....The driver company is ricoh.
I just bought a Acer 4720z and I connected it to my wireless router the problem I am having is that the computer keeps disconnecting from internet every few mins and then reconnect. I called acer and they are useless. The computer has Vista on it and my wireless router is a actiontec from verizon.
I did some searching and couldn't find the cause for my 4720Z's wifi card just disappearing about twice a day!
I'm still running Vista Premium but I have something deleting the Wifi adapter from Device Hardware list about, at least once per day, and not at the same time each day.
I don't know if billy is just throwing a tantrum or which software / hardware (could be Acer installed stuff for either or both!) As mr gates doesn't like other people installing anything but what he sales!
So I start out in Safe Mode, and my audio doesn't work, but my wifi card can be used and doesn't go POOF!
I flip a coin on what I'm going to live without, audio or wifi!
The 4720Z is 3mos old and has been doing the magic trick with the wifi card ever since the 2nd or 3 wk, and I don't know how to find the conflict?
I've been looking for hours for a LAN driver for this laptop...my wifi works perfect via the Intel Software from the acer website. But the usa/european site doesn't have the LAN driver. I lost the original CD.
ive just bought this laptop when i got it the person i bought it from told me sometimes you need to reinstall the graphics driver for it to work alright, the screen went all messed up then back to normal, but when you scroll down the pages on the net it sort of flips over on its self and really slow went moving down the page.so i think i need to reinstall the graphics card driver, problem is how do i do this,i read on here that someone had said its on the recovery disc in the patch/vga folder ,i went to this folder vga but its empty,so any ideas how i can reinstall it,if not has anyone got the driver for this model x1400 512mb please, please, please as ive spend hours reading up and checking the acer web page with no luck, plus whats the best way to look after this model so it keeps running alright like is there any common problems which i should change or look out for
I've got an Aspire 5920G with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics card/chipset. Up until last week, I'd been running with whatever drivers had been installed when I originally purchased the laptop in October last year.
Vista's Windows Update told me of new drivers for the 3470 that had been released in January, so I promptly downloaded them, glad to have something a little more up-to-date, since the laptop is being used frequently as a lightweight gaming machine. The driver, according to Device Manager, is dated 15/01/2009, and is version number 8.580.0.0.
My problem now is that every time I boot the machine, an ATI warning appears reading the following:
"The Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your enable graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable your ATI adapter using the Displays Manager."..................
When i put a DVD in no picture shows up- there is still audio and i can still click options but i cannot see what i am selecting. I also tried playing a youtube video which showed up as a green screen. Ive looked around and it says i need to update my graphics driver. I already looked on the acer website for a graphics driver download and i cannot find one.
2 days ago I bought a acer notebook. The touchpad is working but not the gestures. If i go to the "mouse settings", there are no specific settings for my touchpad. Just the normal mouse settings like pointer speed. I already downloaded the 2 driver which are on the acer support site: TouchPad_Synaptics_18.1.2.1_W81x64_A and TouchPad_ELANTECH_13.6.1.1_W81x64_A. I have installed boot of them sucesfully (there was the green pick).
Also for ur info there are no warning signes for unknown devices in the device manager.
I have bought nVidia GeForce 9650M GT 1GB DDR2 MXM II Graphics Card from ebay. Aspire 8930G is listed by the seller as one of the laptops that supports the card.
I have changed the card very carefully. My previous card was 9600m GS DDR2 512mb MXM II.
At the moment the laptop does recognize the card, however sees it as Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.
Here is my GPU-Z screen shot. [url]
And this is what it should look like after installing nVidia video driver. (So I believe) w ww.aliexpress.com/product-fm-img/288728719-NVIDIA-GeForce-9650M-GT-Graphics-Card-Acer-Asus-wholesalers.html
However when I try to install nVidia drivers from the nVidia website, the setup informs me the following: "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."
Has anyone tried 9650m GT with their Acer laptops? Did it work? Does anyone have a solution in my case?
I have a Acer Aspire 5720G, with a Geforce 8400M GS graphics card apparently, i have every other driver installed for xp. The only one i cant seem to get to work is the graphics driver. I have tried Google and downloaded numerous drivers but i cant seem to find one that will work, they all either wont install because they don't recognize the hardware, or with custom inf's from laptopvideo2go they install then when i boot windows, then say they're incompatible and have reverted back to the default VGA drivers.
i have an acer aspire 4530 with windows xp service pack 2.
Acer provided drivers for xp,however the atheros wi-fi network controller is not working properly.. i tried installing vista and evrything worked fine ...
I am wondering the Realtek audio driver provided in the acer webpage can be used in aspire 1690 as the sound card is Conexant. Anyone can get the sound card works in windows vista. I tried but it failed.
So I am trying to play Dragon Age Inquisition on my newly aquired Acer VN7-571g. It's equipped with a gtx 850m. When I'm trying to start the game I get this error message "Detected NVIDIA driver is 333.17. The required driver version is 340.52 or later. Please update your drivers at geforce.com/drivers before playing the game" Now the problem is that the driver from acer is version 333.17. If I try to install a newer driver directly from geforce it won't recognize the dedicated GPU and will run on the integrated intel HD graphics in stead.
While installing the Wireless Lan Broadcom 802.11 driver I get the error: Update.cpp 1185. The machine is an E1-532P and this is the only driver which has a problem. Broadcom.com does not provide support for end users.
I have the 9600m GT out of a 8930g installed in my Aspire 5720 laptop but every nvidia driver that I try to install says that the hardware is not compatible with the driver or some crap.
Am I out of luck with this card or is there a way to force install a driver...or is there a better driver to install?
I've tried the latest 197.16, 186.03 drivers from nvidia. Even from laptopvideo2go...no dice.
