The sound quality from my 6935g is terrible in XP. Vista is fine though. I've tried reinstalling the realtek HD drivers but its still the same. Is there anyting else i need to install? I've tried looking to see if there is an acer HD audio manager for XP had no luck.
View 5 RepliesWhen I'm listening to music, my speakers tend to crackle every once in a while. Even with headphones, I get the same problem if not worse. I've searched around and it seems to be a driver issue but I've updated to the the latest Realtek HD Audio drivers and it still crackles. I'm just wondering if people with the same laptop have similar issues while listening to music or my laptop is faulty.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy computer (the Lenovo Y510P) started acting up the first day I bought it. It runs smoothly and everything, but the speakers seem to crackle and pop whenever I play music or games (even at a low volume). I've been seeing that many Lenovo Y510P users have been having this same issue and can assume that the problem is a hardware issue because:
1) Installing different versions of sound drivers AND even downloading the recommended sound drivers from Lenovo DOES NOT WORK.
2) Changing the power options DOES NOT WORK.
3) Plugged in headphones and even bluetooth can hear the static.
I'm thinking about returning this laptop since this is the 3rd day of having it. If there's no fix for this defect, I'm returning it before the 7th day.
Having some issues with my laptop, worked fine to begin with but recently it's not be performing as smoothly as it should or as i'd expect.
Usually what happens is, i'd load a game - any game - it would run ok for ~1 min or maybe two, then the secondary fan will kick in (very loudly) and the game will jutter and FPS would drop from say 30-50 to 5-10, the sound will begin to crackle and it's just not useable.
I've so far found a way around this and its turning the Processor Speed in the empowering technology tab to "low", obviously the laptop doesnt run as fast as it would but it doesnt tend to go crazy on me whenever I try to use it for anything more than Typing.
I had "Crackle Sound" issue - caused by "old' Dell WireLess Driver!
One member here gave me original BroadCom Driver!
But this driver gave me non-stop blinking/blink Led.
So I made/create my own remixed driver!
Fixed Issues:
- Slow Shutdown
- Crackling/Crackle Sound
- Non-stop Blinking/Blink Wi-Fi (Wireless) Indicator

For some odd reason my laptop seems to make a funny pop sound. It occurs in the back of the left side of the 1705. I thought originally it was an audio thing, but it also did it on bootup and it will sometimes do it idiling on windows. Im not sure if this is due to the weather as i have this thing only a few feet from the window and actually our wood on out doors sometimes makes a crackling noise due to the changing weather. Its not a huge issue, but you can hear it when it happens and for some reason I fear it could be an audio issue, or something hardware related. It seems to take place near the 'lock' mechanism where you might insert a lock to keep the thieves away but it occurs for now on the left side of the laptop. After i come back from class I will try some things to fix it. We have been having a lot of problems in the building with internet, cable interference and odd noises coming from the walls so maybe its just this brand new building going to hell who knows.
My other guess would be when certain parts heat up (CPU,GPU) but they are running idle now at 55 and 60.
Whenever I play music, or any sound comes out of the notebook (both headphones or Speakers) , it is occasionally be crackle/pop.It happens very often/every time.

when I listen to music or watch movies for a while the sound gets all echoey and I have to close the program then re-open the file to fix it. What's wrong with the laptop?
I have the most current Realtek driver from Acer's site.
I got myself the Acer Aspire 5930G this past Sunday. I can also mention that my friend bought the exact same computer just a couple hours before, from the same store here in Stockholm, Sweden.
The problem now is that the built in speakers make a fizzing, or I don't know exactly how to describe it, sound, when I play a song for example. The sound became more obvious when having a voiceconversation through Msn with a friend and playing musicvideos on youtube.
Now, my friend appeared to have the same problems with his speaker, just slightly less obvious. It bugged me enough to make a trip back to the store in order to set things straight. Listening to the Demoex at the store, the speakers were even worse, so I just had to accept the fact that "speakers on laptops generally suck"...
I still can't though, and I'd like to know how you experience your built-in speakers, are they "crystal clear" no matter how high of a volume you play (75% and up)?
Today my speakers on my laptop started cracking so I plugged in the headphones to see if it made the same noises with them and it did so I figured it was just a driver problem.
I reinstalled the Realtek HD driver twice but I still have the same problem. The speakers worked fine this morning but after moving home from university this afternoon they've started cracking.
if there's something wrong with my speakers on my newly bought 6920G. They are extremely oddly placed, at least what I think.
One of them is located to the right (below the screen as it should be). However the other one is placed more closed to the middle (below the screen) than to the left as I think it should be. This makes the sound coming from left to sound like coming from the front instead, which can't be right... Should it really be this way?
I should mention that I bought this PC from Acer with like 35-40% discount because it got sent back to Acer for repairs of the speakers actually. Did the assemble the left one incorrectly?

I also wonder if here's ANY way to get the Empowering softwares to work in Windows 7 (RC1)? I can get them to START (ePower, eSettings), but they can't be used. I have them running in Vista compatibility mode already.
My speakers stopped working after I dropped the laptop on the front edge (yes clever).
Curious thing is there is a red LED glowing from inside the ear phone socket that I never noticed before. It looks really cool. Anyways I get sound out of the ear phones but not the speaker.
I tried inserting and jiggling the ear phone jack to see if there speakers were somehow deactivated by means of the earphones. No luck.
My next step is to open up the laptop too see what I can find.
I'm wondering has anyone delved into a 5672 (or similar) that could guide me to what to expect.
Mainly I don't want to remove the cover if it means I bollox up the whole thing.

I've had this aspire 7720-6381 for about a week and a half now. I've been very satisfied, and have even been content with the mediocre laptop speakers it contains. I wasn't expecting much in that realm anyways.
The problem I have is that periodically the speakers will make an annoying clicking noise. It's pretty sucky. Even worse, after a time all sound will screw up and a deathly fuzzy roaring sound is all that is heard.
I've had this laptop for a day now and am having some issues which I wonder if anyone could help me with.
1. Integrated 'Crystal Eye' webcam
I can't get it to work with Live Messenger. I can only hear the audio from the other person (no video). They also can only hear me and not see me. When I try the Audio/Video tuning wizard my webcam shows fine?
2.Acer Arcade Deluxe
I tried out the Blu-ray drive when I first tried out the laptop and it worked fine. There was a prompt when the Arcade software was first started to inform me that there was a software update available and that if I didn't update then some Blu-ray discs may not play. I ignored the prompt originaly and as I said Blu-ray dics played fine.
I decided to update the software as was recommended but as soon as it was updated, Blu-rays no longer played, nor did normal DVD's. All I got was a multi-coloured blank screen in Arcade and that was it. The disc didn't even spin up.
I uninstalled Arcade and re-installed the original version and it works again. Anyone else had this problem? Any work around?
3. Built-in speakers
The speakers on this laptop sound amazing especially compared to my old Aspire. However, when watching say, a DVD, then whilst the sound is impressive for laptop speakers, speech sounds very off centre (weighted to the right channel). However, all other background sound etc. is separated normally. I notice that the speakers are set a little to the right - could this be the reason?
4. CineDash Media Console
I'm finding the responsiveness of the touch panel hit and miss. Is this the same for everyone else? EG. adjusting the volume - I slide my finger up the curve to turn up the volume and sometimes it works fine and others I have to do it a few times before it responds. Some for the other buttons, like 'ENTER' - sometimes a light touch is all that's needed, other times I have to press it hard.....................

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason when connecting to my UE Boom speakers, the sound volume is about 70% as loud as when playing from any of my other devices, such as my HTC One or my wifes Ipad. I have checked all the settings, volume is maxed out at 100%. I have reinstalled the latest drivers for both the bluetooth and the audio device:
Blueooth_Atheros_8.0.0000.0228_w8x64_a & Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.7027_w81x64_A.
I did find a setting under manage audio devices >> sound >> communication tab, that lowers the sound by 80%. But I disabled this feature and it only seems to be linked to the internal speakers.
It also seems like I have issues at times trying to connect to my bluetooth speakers, but not always.
When i plugin earphone/ headphone jack my Laptop speakers do not mute. i can hear the sound in ear phones.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Acer E5 571 with Windows 8.1 The laptop paired to my bluetooth speaker quickly and with no problem.
However the next time I turned on my laptop it showed as bluetooth device paired when it wasn't. iTunes only played through the laptop speaker and I have to disconnect and re-pair the bluetooth and deactivate the laptop speaker to get iTunes to play through bluetooth every time.
Is this a recognised fault or some incompatibility between my laptop and LG bluetooth soundbar?
I got a new used laptop but there is no sound at all, the earphone jacks don't work nor the speakers. The mouse pad does not work well either, and, I cannot use my Logitech mouse via. usb port? I am getting ready to re-install because I though this might solve the problem. I tried installing some drivers for AC97 Sound Controller but that did not work either. The drivers would not install, then I uninstalled AC97 in Add-Remove Programs by accident, I was trying to Update it. Then I installed another AC97 from download.net. After this I tried again to Remove and re-install a newer driver but it would not uninstall or install.

I've loved the notebook to this point, but now the speakers have quit working completely (the headphone jack still works). I called tech support and they had me delete and reinstall the driver (Realtech high definition audio), which made no difference.
She then told me the next step is to refresh my Windows installation, which will apparently blow away everything I've installed since it was new. I declined to do that because I really don't want to spend an entire day reinstalling all the programs, even though I have the data backed up. Is this truly the only way to make a final determination if it's a hardware or software problem?

When I play a DVD/CD using ROM drive NO SOUND comes out from built-in speakers of Aspire laptop. But picture runs on AOC monitor which is not useful. Aspire 5738 has TWO sound processors in device manager. One is Intel (Default) and other one ReaLTek, both are HD quality.
"How to configure (If Possible) any of the TWO sound processors to HDMI" OR any other practical solutions?

Well I just had my speakers exchanged. But these do again have some horrible sound once you turn them up a little.
Could you guys watch this youtube Video, with the Sound of your computer set to 60% and tell me if your Sound gets messed up when the guy talks
They look so out of place to me imo, kind of turns me off. But then I hear people say it has such a nice design. I think the speaker "bar" kills it :
