Dell :: Snap Crackle And Pop In My Laptop

For some odd reason my laptop seems to make a funny pop sound. It occurs in the back of the left side of the 1705. I thought originally it was an audio thing, but it also did it on bootup and it will sometimes do it idiling on windows. Im not sure if this is due to the weather as i have this thing only a few feet from the window and actually our wood on out doors sometimes makes a crackling noise due to the changing weather. Its not a huge issue, but you can hear it when it happens and for some reason I fear it could be an audio issue, or something hardware related. It seems to take place near the 'lock' mechanism where you might insert a lock to keep the thieves away but it occurs for now on the left side of the laptop. After i come back from class I will try some things to fix it. We have been having a lot of problems in the building with internet, cable interference and odd noises coming from the walls so maybe its just this brand new building going to hell who knows.

My other guess would be when certain parts heat up (CPU,GPU) but they are running idle now at 55 and 60.
