Acer TravelMate P255-MG :: Windows 8.1 Update - Video Fatal Error
Mar 6, 2015
I have an acer TravelMate P255-MG with Intel core i5 and AMD Radeon graphics HD 8750M. I recently updated my laptop os from windows 8 to 8.1. Now everytime i put it on sleep mode(and the light goes on and off showing that it's in the sleep mode), once i turn it on again, it restarts and all my unsaved work is gone. Sometimes I shut it down and the next day i turn it on and it gives a "Video FATAL error". I'm downloading the drivers needed from the website( VGA Intel and VGA AMD). Will these drivers solve the problem?
I am new commer here and this is my first post. I have recently purchased this nice laptop: Acer TravelMate P255, Intel Core i3-4010U (1.70GHz, 3MB), 15.6" FullHD (1920x1080) LED-backlit Anti-Glare, HD Cam, 4096MB 1600MHz DDR3L, 1TB HDD, DVD+/-RW, AMD Radeon R7 265 2GB, 802.11n, BT 4.0, Linux : NX.V9GEX.004
I would like to change it's preinstalled Linux with a Windows 7 version. But I don't know which exact versions of Windows 7 this particular model is compatible with, because I failed to install the AMD graphics adapter driver from the support DVD disk on a Windows 7 64bit. Do I miss something ? Need I, for example, make any changes in the BIOS ?
I have found same drivers to download, but none of them was successfull for my laptop.
I have had this error for a long time now. Have used recovery manager and uninstalled - reinstalled - rebooted my laptop but still getting this error on HP Pavilion dv7-6b50ea.
Windows 8.1 kept popping up to install update. I would refuse it. Then recently it updated itself. After that, i noticed it took a little longer for my laptop to boot. It would show a blue screen for a little bit then it would boot. Yesterday, I received an error (can't remember what it said) needed to restart because of an error. I ran the Hard Disk Test and Quick and then the extensive test. it stops at one sec remaining and noting happens. I did get a fatal device hardware error. Can the update to Windows 8.1 cause this to happen?
When i try to enter my bios, i am asked for a password, which i didnt put on there myself. The code it gives me is CNU902222G and i cant find anything on that code. How can I bypass it and fix the issue.

HP mini 110 running winXP asking suddenly for current password giving Fatal Error CNU9048J2NWhy did it do this and what is the password to get into the system?
I actually use the password provided from this forum like e9lo7gfg4o, but it is not working.
Firstly I know very little on thsi kind of stuff so please excuse my lack of knowledge.
I've had my travelmate 5720 for about 4 months, and for as long as I have had it, it crashes when I play any kind of video. Not straight away, it may be after 2 minutes or after an hour. But if I'm playing a movie, its almost guaranteed to crash to a blue screen, and the system reboots. Its too random to try recreate the problem instantly, other than just playing a movie and...waiting.
How to open my HP mini 110. When I always try to open, it says ENTER CURRENT PASSWORD. After 3 tries, it says Fatal Error ... System Failed . What to do?

After an automatic update of a Dell Vostro 3700 laptop with Windows 7 on it, I got the following problem :
- First, I got the black screen with the information "Applying update operation 3 of 18014 (_0000000000000000_) - Then it shows a quick blue screen and then the computer restarts directly. - I have been able to display the complete blue screen message. Here it is :
STOP : c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0xc0000034 0x001005b0). The system has been shut down
I tried to start the recovery tools of Windows but it keeps on saying that it's not able to recover the system. With this information :
- Start in safe mode : Always the blue screen - Restore and old version : Same recovery error message - Start in command line : always the blue screen.
My youngest son's Compaq Mini 110 boots staright up into a Password protect mode which I do not know and then locks up with a fatal error and system halt CNU93533NQ.
I have a brand new 12" Acer TravelMate 6293. I've instaled XP, Vista, Win7 and Ubuntu.
In all of them I'm having problems with the keyboard. It works, it's just sometimes it misses out on button presses, like you type a word and its missing a letter etc.
I has a rudimentary Linux installed, which I want to delete and then install a Windows7 Prof SP1 64bit from DVD.
After changing the order of the boot devices and putting the USB-DVD drive first the Travelmate tries to boot from the DVD but then tells me 'Security Boot Error'. I tried it more than 10 times, same error each time. The external USB-DVD drive is working fine on another computer.
I also prepared a bootable USB stick, but this one doesn't even get noticed by the Travelmate.
HP G662 Notebook running Windows 7 64 bit: Despite running all the troubleshooting advice from web I can find, my Windows Update will not work and has not worked since I replaced my hard drive about a year or so ago. No error messages appear.
