Nov 4, 2007I need to know how to get the memory cover off. Even after removing the four screws it acts like one corner near the indent by the RAM icon is snapped into it or glued down. The cover is huge, over half the bottom of the case.
I'm also interested in upgrading the 1.73 Ghz Celeron M 530 if it's possible. Eventually I plan to upgrade the DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive to a DVD burner, so the manual will be handy for that too.

Apr 10, 2009I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5515 Laptop. Has a built in Wireless card. It detects the hotspots with no problem. It connects to the available networks with no problem. But it will not connect to any internet service. Strange, but that is also what trouble shooter says. Connects to network, but not to internet, thus browser cannot resolve to any URL.
I even disabled firewall to see if it would help, but it will not.
Even has issues trying to network at home using ethernet cards. Detects, but will not connect.
Acer Aspire 7739 :: Microsoft Update Service Not Running
Nov 24, 2014Acer Aspire 7739, Win7, 64-bit.
Microsoft Update returns an error that the update service is not running. I check the services, and see that it is running.
I downloaded the SATA drivers (Rapid Storage Technology, I think). The setup returns an error not found in the ini file??
How can I get the Microsoft Update running again?

Feb 1, 2015I have a dell 5010 and it went black screen as I was using it. I powered it down by holding the power button and then tried to rebot. The laptop power led goes on, the hard drive led flickers once and the fan goes on but slow. The screen stays black and the laptop does not booth. It then sometimes bleeps times over and over. Is it dead? How can I fix this or at least recover the data in the hard drive?
