the 1704 installs ok but the 1705 reports an error and doesn't install at all. Normally should they install both? Each of them does a different thing ? Why are there two drivers for same thing?
I'm having an issue with my wifi connection, it keeps dropping without an apparent reason.
It's a Dell Inspiron 5748-10001.
I have updated the wireless drivers Dell [Wireless 1704 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver] to this version Network_Driver_D1DJJ_WN_6.30.223.181_A00, but it still doesn't seem to work.
I don't know if it's related but I can't seem to install [Dell Wireless 1705 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver] Network_Driver_HP06Y_WN_10.0.0.276_A00, the installation is always a failure.
Every time I try to reinstall the wifi driver for my Inspiron 15 3521 (driver for Dell wireless 1704 version 10.0.0.200) the install fails with a not very useful error message.
I have purchased hp pavilion d107tx with DOS and now I am unable to find Network Controller Drivers because of which I am unable to use Wi-fi on my laptop. How to find the right drivers for my laptop.
I have Dell Inspiron n7110. In my notebook install Dell Wireless 1702 802.11b/g/n. Recently notice that I can not find any Wi-Fi network. But in Task Manager I see that Dell Wireless module is working properly. I reinstall all drivers twice, but it's still don't work and don't find any Wi-Fi network.
My new Inspiron is having an issue with connecting to my home wifi. The router (UPC TC 7200 U) is set to 5 GHz on Channel 40 with n-standard and delivers a strong signal on all other devices that are connected.According to the product description the Inspiron 7000 should have no problems finding this network as it has a dual-band wifi card. The issue also doesn't lie with the router as other new devices that I brought to my home can find and connect to the network without any problems.I downloaded and installed the current intel and dell drivers for the wifi card; still I cannot find the 5GHz network on my new dell.
I am using INSPIRON 1545 and i have wifi modem ASUS RT-NT3U setup at my home,
My laptop doesn't detect asus however it detects all the networks nearby,I have to restart the router every time to get it detected by my machine,i tried to reinstall wireless on my machine but still the problem arises, even some time restarting the router doesn't work...
I tried everything and still need drivers for DV7-6C63NR:
SM Bus Controller
Network Controller
also I cannot get my WiFi adapter to turn on with the button on keyboard - I suspect that it must be my network controller but I cannot locate the driver for it.
I've recently formatted my hard drive and put my own copy of Win7 on my Thinkpad Edge 14 (0579-A62). There's no more recovery partition. After being surprised that Win7 didn't have any built in drivers for the display or WiFi, I plugged an ethernet cable in and went to the Lenovo support site. I tried all of the Networking: WLAN drivers but none of them let wireless work. I installed the Intel PROSet software and it just says "Driver is not installed" so I'm assuming it doesn't have anything to do with the WiFi key on the keyboard.
I just unboxed my new Dell Inspiron 5748 (17 inches, core i7 etc. etc.).
I noticed a strange thing: there is no evidence that the notebook is powered up, apart of LCD screen lit.
When the screen goes off, you don't know if laptop is on or off.
There is a led in the left right edge of the front, but it lights up (after a BIOS update to A05, it was always dark with A04 BIOS) only when the power supply is connected.
When powering up the laptop with battery, the led lights up, but after one second it starts to dim until it is completely dark.
It is annoying, especially with Windows 8.1 that, when powering off the laptop, shuts off the screen several seconds before the laptop is really powered off.
I had a long phone call with technical support, but it seems that this behaviour is by design.
I also miss a HDD activity led, that could be a sign of the computer activity, in the lack of power led.
I bought my HP 15 a few days ago and since yesterday (after I restarted it) it can't find my network. Also, sometimes it finds all the surrounding networks, sometimes one or two, sometimes none of them, but it never shows mine.
All my other devices connect to the network just fine and also when I connect the laptop via Ethernet cable internet works normally. I tried reinstalling the adapter and driver, but nothing happens, the problem is still here.
Just got my Inspiron 5748. Requested a backlit keyboard. Didn't get one even though i was told i had to buy the 17" in order to get the backlit keyboard. I also requested Microsoft Word which is not installed. I guess that i have to download the software from the internet which i do not have access to on a regular basis.
Received new 5748 laptop today. Made a bootable factory restore disc + external hdd boot up image. Removed the 1TB hdd that came with the laptop and installed my Samsung 840 SSD. Keep getting an error trying to do the restore onto the SSD.
How I install windows 8 on my SSD with no installation cd as it was not provided with the laptop.
I have just received my new Inspiron 5748 and I cannot find any useful information on how to turn the webcam on. There is no option on the start menu for the webcam, and I've checked the device manager, and indeed, the webcam is there and working properly, according to the Properties. Ran a diagnostic in the Dell Support area, and the cam came on when the diagnostic ran, so I know it's there and working. So how do I turn the darned thing on? All I want is to turn the webcam on!
I've had my laptop for about a three weeks now. Last night, I shut the lid to put it to sleep and went out for a few hours, leaving the lap top plugged in.
When I came home, the laptop wouldn't turn on. I looked online, found to take out the battery, hold the power button down for 30 sec, put the battery back in, then plug it in again, nothing worked.
I left the battery out over night, then did the same thing -- no go.
The computer has been plugged in for about an hour now, still nothing.
There are no lights on the laptop itself, the green light is on the AC adapter and I also plugged in the adapter into another computer and it worked with that.
Running on Windows 7, Inspiron 17 5748 -- still under warranty.
I wish to upgrade my system to windows 8. I have tried installing trail version, however I am not able to install few drivers like WiFi on it. When can I get Windows 8 drivers for my laptop.
Just opened my girlfriend's laptop, and saw that it had:
CD/DVD Drive TSL462 ver. C
PC2 4200S 4-4-4-12 latency RAM 1 512 MB stick
Dell P/N 0C9063 WiFi Card
I was wondering if someone could give me a link to updated drivers/firmware for the DVD drive and the Wifi Card. I already updated the Intel Chipset from the Intel website.
Also, what is the best kind of RAM it will accept? I was thinking two 1GB sticks of pc2-5300, but I don't know if it'll accept that much? It is Dual channel memory, but it's only using one channel right now obviously. Any help is appreciated, as I need to get her computer in working order by Friday.
I installed Windows 7 32 bit ultimate on my DELL Inspiron N5110 ( i3, 4Gb RAM ). I cant install graphic drivers .i download the 32 bit graphic drivers but it not installed
I don't have the ssd msata option in the laptop I just purchased from Newegg so I decided to buy a samsung 840 250g ssd and do a clean install of win 7.Updated ssd to latest firmware, disabled secure boot in bios, sata was already set to ACHI, installed ssd and started loading win 7. It would get to the point that the tiles are floating around and it says "starting windows" and then locks up. Tried this several times and same thing.
Finally tried changing boot mode from eufi to legacy it works fine. I got win 7 installed. Now if I try to go back to eufi boot mode it just goes to a black screen (on start up) and displays detecting media (or something like that). So I guess my question is:
1. Why did I have to switch to legacy mode to begin with
2. Does leaving it in legacy boot mode affect performance?
One last thing, since installing win 7 I have been unable to install the nvidia drivers downloaded from dell for win 7. It either starts and immediately fails or it installs a little then I get a blue screen and the computer reboots.
Dropped computer during move, lost all the disks and paperwork.Hard drive was damaged so purchased new one locally..Downloaded ISO win 7 86,installed used original validation. It booted up all fine but no drivers for mouse or Ethernet or wifi actually no drivers.Mouse works.
How can I download the drivers and save them to CD/DVD and install on machine.
I am trying to download drivers for a Dell Inspiron 14Z -N411Z to a USB drive through another laptop, because the hard drive on that Dell completely gave up. There is no installation software disc as it was on another partition on that same hard drive.
When I attempt to install the drives required to the USB drive on my Toshiba, it first wants to install the dsd.exe file before I can download the drivers. After I downloaded that dsd.exe file, I don't seem to find a way to install the required drivers as well. the DellSystemDetect.exe file wants to do that for me, but it is not on the correct laptop.
What do I need to do, to get those drivers downloaded on the USB, so I can complete the installation. I already installed the Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) on the Dell laptop.
I recently purchased this laptop and I have no alternate nvidia drivers, when installing i get the error message no compatible hardware found. I have already tried adding my device to the .inf list with no success, i might be doing it wrong?
Both intel HD 3000 and nvidia GT 625M drivers are listed on my product driver page but i do not know if I'm limited to what comes pre installed.
I have a Dell D630 Latitude laptop that connects to most Wifi Networks, but NOT my home network. In fact, It doesn't even show the network when I pull up area networks. It doesn't show any networks at all. However, when I take it to a Starbucks or McDonalds, I can not only find a network, but I can get on the Internet just fine !Do I have something blocking the network from being seen? Is my virus program Microsoft Essentials blocking the network for some reason?
This is regarding hp 15-r007tx..I cant connect to the WiFi network . I can only use wired connection. Also the wifi button is permanently off(orange colour). No matter how many times I press its the same and wont detect wifi. Is it hardware or driver problem.
I am trying to connect my E520 to a wireless router. The router isn't connected to a modem, it will just be used so I can transfer files between two wireless devices. The wifi router is functioning properly as I can cannect to it with the wifi on my phone. However my laptop doesn't even see any wifi networks to connect to. The wirless "radio" button (F9) is on.
What happens.....
- There us is no visible wifi network.
- I can connect and access the router and its settings using the ethernet cable.
- 1st method - When I go to "Network and Sharing Center" I select "Setup a new connection or network". From the box that appears I select "Setup a new connection". The next box asks me to choose a wireless router from the list and informs me it may take up to 90sec for a router to show up. However no routers show up at all even after 30min.
-2nd method - I go to "Network and Sharing Center" I select "Setup a new connection or network". From the box that appears I this time select "Manually connect to a wireless network". Thsi time I get a box with an error "An unexpected error occured". It doesn't give any more information than this and I have looked in the logs and though I don't know what I am looking for nothing jumps out.
-3rd method - I go to "Manage wireless networks" and click on the "add" button. The box that appears asks me to choose between "Manually create a network profile" or "create an ad hoc network". Choosing either of these reslts in the same "unexpected error" with no information.
Things I have tried:
- Uninstalled the wireless card drivers and installed the latest ones. (device manager says device is working properly). - let windows try and update the driver. - Turned off my firewall and internet security and tried again. - Disabled power management for the wireless card. - Physically checked the card in the base of the laptop - all seems ok.
Win7 64bit Home Premium Zonelalarm Extreme D-link DIR_600 wifi router.
My new Lenovo Z580 runs windows 8 64bit, core i3 3rd gen, 4gb RAM.
The problem is, since day 1,every few minutes the internet stops working. It shows as connected, the router is working, other connected devices run as intended and everything's fine. But internet doesn't work on my laptop. It says "Could not connect to the network". I have tried doing the "keep wifi on during sleep" etc. but nothing works. It just stops working after a while even though I am using the laptop, it just suddenly stops. It even shows as connected, and packets are being received but internet or any application over the internet will not work untill I disconnect and reconnect.
