I have a Dell Inspiron N4110, which I recently installed a new windows on. I can't seem to connect to the internet. Before the new installation the WIFI worked fine, but now even connecting through ethernet doesn't work. I looked through my Network drivers and there are only two.
I've tried download and installing others but no hope.
My HP Envy m6 laptop cannot connect to our wifi connection and only connects using the cable connection, ethernet.
It was still fine when I downloaded windows 8.1 but all of a sudden displays limited/no connectivity. I tried everything I can including resetting tcp ip settings thru command prompt, finding other drivers till someone suggested me to put my laptop back to windows 8. Still didn't fix the problem. Now, my laptop does not access wifi nor detect any wireless connection whether our home wifi, or others.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1764 about a month ago it started having internet problems. I have ruled out the problems being related to the actual internet service. I have excellent wifi signal and yet my laptop constantly connects and disconnects. The length of time varies. Some days I get to be on the net while others I dont at all. I have run diagnostics, downloaded darn near every update imaginable.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast week I purchased a dell laptop on line and received it one day after the shipping notification. That's the good news. During the setup process everything went well except the wireless connection. The laptop was connecting to the router intermittantly and now will not connect at all. I have checked every setting I know of and talked with my internet provider last night to see if they may be the problem. All the people I have talked with tell me that the problem is most likely the Intel Centrion wireless-N 1030 card and site issues documented on other sites.
My attempt to get information from dell on Sunday evening was a nitemare and so I sent an email via customer service but have not yet received a reply. Here is my gripe. This is a new laptop and I should not have to find a fix for this problem. Also, I am computer literate to a point and don't feel I should have to spend my whole weekend "trying" to get a wireless connection on a new machine. It usually takes seconds. I am trying this forum to see if I can get some answers but honestly I will probably return the laptop that is if I can find the spot on the dell website that will let me request that.

Yesterday everything was working fine, I turned off the laptop, went out, turned it on in the morning and bam, no internet. I reinstalled drivers, then reinstalled the system and nothing changed. It certainly isn't router's fault, since other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi
I solved it, somehow wireless network card got turned off and I just figured out Fn+F5 prompts a window where I could turn it back on.
I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5515 Laptop. Has a built in Wireless card. It detects the hotspots with no problem. It connects to the available networks with no problem. But it will not connect to any internet service. Strange, but that is also what trouble shooter says. Connects to network, but not to internet, thus browser cannot resolve to any URL.
I even disabled firewall to see if it would help, but it will not.
Even has issues trying to network at home using ethernet cards. Detects, but will not connect.
I am using HP Compaq 15 a00t2u, windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I'm not able to connect to the internet via WiFi. Everytime I connect, it says,"no network access." There's a yellow triangle over the WiFi icon. Windows diagonsed it but failed to correct it. A message appears " Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP address. At times, it fixes the issue but within seconds, the problem again hops up.I am able to connect my mobile and other devices via same router. Also, when I switch on my mobile's Wifi Tethering, laptop connects to the network easily without any issue.

They have AT&T router/modem (combo?) and no one else in the house has any issues connecting with it.
What happens is I can connect and browse for a couple minutes or so, but sporadically, the internet will just stop working (not the wifi, it still shows my connection exists). I just won't be able to browse or make use of the internet at all!
I wonder if I might have banged it up or something on the plane ride? Since other laptops in the household are not having wifi issues, I am lead to believe it is just me.
I have Dell Insipiron 15 R N5010 laptop and I cant connect to cable internet. I was getting error 651 which I fixed after changing my raspppoe.sys file but after that I am getting error 797.

I tried checking the Modem under Network Adaptors and found there is a yellow mark next to "WAN miniport pppoe"
I tried updating the drivers but its not accepting and gave me error:
"Windows has found the drivers for your device but unable to update, could not found the specified file"
I have tried udisabling and re-enabling wan miniport but no luck....Tried un-installing it and check all other settings in Internet options but no luck. How to restore it to factory settings if that is my last resort ?
I have a Dell Inspiron N7010 running Windows 7 a friend did a clean install on my computer after my game a and dell factory restore along with a some other issues continued to give out error message. In doing so he completly wiped the driver software out. So now I can't connect to the internet and my aero transparnce isn't working either. I checked the device manager and under Other Devices were 3 drives a PCI controlle(i belivie) network adaptor and ethernet adopter. I'm not what driver software i should install in order to get it back working or at least the internet back up.

This has never happen to me before and I don't know what to do. Today I did a system restore to a few days ago when it was working just fine... nothing happened.. I tried to press the button on the keyboard to turn the wireless adapter on and that didn't work either. I really need this computer at least for a couple more months for my school work.

I am having 2 problems with networking on my v570. When hard-wire connected to a time warner arris modem, the computer sometimes recognizes the network but does not get internet access.
When connected to an airport extreme via the same modem, it connects to the internet but speeds are drastically low. when I hardwire connect a mac to the modem, it's blazing fast.

It says that I am connected to my wirless network but not the internet. I can access the internet when my laptop is directly plugged in via lan cable to router but whenever I disconnect the lan cable and try to go online over the wireless I cant! I finally got the regular plug in to work but still no wifi. I have went to the driver site and installed both chip sets. and downloaded a bunch of the internet drivers listed on the network drivers list. After installing a bunch of them i noticed the system scan. It detected that i had a 802.11b/g/n WLAN. Thats the irst one on the site so i redownloaded and instaled it and it still isnt working. In the device manager it shows the yellow exclamation and just says ethernet controller.
