It wouldn't have been so bad... but I have another M1330 w/ the Toshiba right next to it and it's night and day difference that the CMO is a POS.
I just have the standard 1yr warrenty on the Outlet CMO M1330.
Just bought M1330 from Outlet. Considering spec (2.5ghz, 4gb ram, WLED, 320gb HD) it was an absolute steal. In fact it wouldn't have cost me much less to travel to Ireland in order to steal it, had I wanted to.
I know about potential for graphics card problems but I'm doing what I can to avoid them in the first place and the thing seems to be running reasonably cool so I'm happy.
Arrived on time, no problems with couriers etc. Laptop's great, a few superficial marks reflecting the fact that it's been used for a period of time then returned. That's fine and expected
it's an owner to join such an informative/ friendly form
I have the M1330 system and after the crazy vertical lines and freezing over and over, the motherboard is replaced now.
My wonder/worry is, AM I able to use my notebook w/out the fear of the same issue coming again ?!
So I'll be looking to pick up a new laptop within the next 2-5 months. I've had my eye on the xps 13 and m1330. I'm not sure which one would be a better deal for me.
Personally, I like the way the m1330 looks. Its also cheaper (esp since there are so many on ebay). However, from what I'm seeing is that it has outdated hardware, esp when put next to the xps 13. It still has a 8400MGS... which was available when I got my Vostro 2 years ago
I have an XPS M1330 purchased about 2 years ago.
The screen went extremely dim permanently one day when the battery reached its near absolute low. For some reason the screen came back to a brightly lit life after a system restore. The same problem occurred again and sadly after sitting on it a few weeks I did not have a restore point old enough to troubleshoot with the same solution.
Now I'm not sure if system restore really had anything to do with the monitor crapping out because I've never heard of such a scenario, but I'm just going to throw it out there on the off chance that it does .....
So the one thing I'm really missing in all those nice macbooks is blu-ray. Is there any particular reason for this? With Apple bragging about the awesome screen, I really don't understand why it's not there. And what are the chances we'll see blu-ray support added to that super-drive?

i'm considering buying an e6400 from the outlet and i've been trying for days to find a configuration that i'm happy with. i've noticed that the hardest to get "right" are the screen and battery which is where this question comes in.
when i get an outlet "scratch/dent" or "cert refurb" are the batteries the original ones or are they new? i ask because if they're the old ones, there isn't too much of a point in getting a 9 cell over 6 cell because the batteries have probably lost a bit of capacity already.

I have a choice to buy an M4400 from either dell outlet or ascendtech for the same price; $900. However, the latter offers an core 2 extreme x9100
(instead of a 2.4 P from the outlet) but with only 30 days warranty! I hear that dell outlet offers 3 years warranty...

View 10 Replies View RelatedJust bought a Dell Mini 9 from the outlet shop in the UK. Have given it to my parents who are off to the north america for a year. I really wanted a mini 9 with a 3g card, but in the UK they are only available from vodafone with 24 month contract. ah well.
To my surprise it turned up with a 3g card installed and the vodafone s/w installed, l added my own sim card and tested and it worked first time.
Is this the normal or was l lucky? As l might buy a second one for my wife if l can get it with 3g again.
I have also removed the 1gb stick and replaced with a 2gb one. £195 inc VAT and delivery from the outlet store, plus £20.99 for the 2gb stick

Dumb as it sounds, can anyone confirm for me that the refurbished models do in fact come with a processor and what spec it is?
