Once my cooler arrives, i plan on overclocking my CPU since it appears to be my biggest bottleneck for games, except i have no idea how to go. my processor is the t5750 @ 2.00 GHz dual core,
ive done JUANLU's iso thing and downloaded driver 84.69 from laptopvideo2go (are there better drivers?)and the INF file and installed it all. now how do i actually over clock?
I've got a T7200 in my E1705. Is it even remotely possible for me to overclock it? Yes, I'm aware Dell locks the BIOS, but is there an unlocked version like JuanLu's mod?
Could a mod please change the title to like "E1705 CPU Overclock" or something? I just noticed how horribly vague Cpu is...
is it possible n safe to overclock my cpu n gpu as i am facing low fps problem in running gta iv on my laptop. so as to increase its performance i think i should overclock one or both of these thinks.plz somebody help me with overclocking.
Hey everyone one..i know there has been a some chatter here and there about overclock with the sxps 1640. Most in fact want to down clock to fix heating issues lol. Well i have my xps running pretty well and heat is not a factor anymore. athough im still not too happy about how much i spent..just making this laptop reasonable. anyways has anyone ventured with setfsb or anything?
When I just had my XPS M1710 I flashed it with the "gsx" rom and stock gtx speeds...
Now I flashed my card with the unlocked roms (1,24V) but I think is running hotter now on the GS stock speeds...?
What should I do? I don't play games but I like the performance gain in windows Vista. I was thinking to flash my card again with the "oldfashion GSX rom"... What would you do?
i recently upgraded my 1730 with a x7900 cpu.. when i overclock this cpu to 3.4ghz, as soon as the system reboots when exxiting the bios the fan speeds go to max speed and are very loud. when i get to the desktop i cant even turn the fans down or off using fangui.. does anybody else have this issue and is this the bios making the fans go full blast.. this is hard to use the lappy at 3.4 when the fans are blasting full throttle all the time..
I can't seem to get settings to stay in Windows XP with my new 1520's 8600m GT. I go to apply settings (in either rivatuner or ntune) and it just goes back to default settings.
I'm trying to overclock the 84.25 from laptop video 2 go but it just won't budge. Every other driver overclocks perfectly. I've tried so many combinations of cleaning the driver and stopping and starting nvidia services and stuff, nothing will work.
Inside my M6400 I have the Intel Quad Core Extreme CPU (QX9300), but the Intel tools to overclock the CPU are not available, so what is the real benefit of having an Extreme CPU ?
I have read a lot of people ask if theyr Acer laptop are overclockable on the CPU, and sometimes different users say that is possible but is difficult. I search some guide, but i don't find nothing.
if is possible overclock my CPU?
I have try whit SetFPS, i have find the proper chip on my Notebook, but when i try to move the frequencies they return to original valor.
So do you over clock? I dont see the point too much unless your playing games though I could be wrong. And as fast as OSX is i see even less of a reason.
If Dell knows anything about it on your machine, the warranty WILL BE VOIDED, and no support will be given!
Disclaimer By performing this overclock you risk permanently damage (not reversible) your graphic card of your laptop and it's components, the motherboard and or other components in the laptop.
Your warranty on your system does not cover overclocking. Remember that the GPU is soldered onto the motherboard and can't be replaced yourself (a new motherboard is required). Dell laptop motherboards are very expensive ........
i tesed if my pc could run cod4, well everything was working i meeted minimum but i failed recommended, it said my cpu was not fast enought, so should i get adriver to overclock my CPU speed,
i have a question and is very simple. My acre is the model 6930g with a p7450 a graphic card ati 4650 and 2 hard drives. i have already done overclock in my graphic card but i cant do in my cpu. how can i do? because i have already saw a lot of notebooks that the cpu could reach 2.5ghz, so i think that it is also possible do in the acer 6930g.
I know notebook are not made for oc because they overheat very fast, but i already got a solution for it ,i modify my back off the notbook and put in another cooler.
I got no idea how to overclock because u cant make it on Bios...
Acer Aspire 7520 G
Microsoft Windows XP Professional sp3
CPU Typ Mobile DualCore AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64, 2200 MHz (11 x 200)
I'm already playing with the clock speeds i didn't bother with a full reinstall. i got rid of all the bloatware, fixed the stupid fn key function keys thing, and it runs fine. i didn't get the 10.3 preview driver due to a lot of instabilities i keep hearing about. gonna wait for it to come out. i'm still using the original driver version that came with the computer. i got amd gpu tools, and oced to 520/1050 just to start. so far my temps never went above 70C how do i keep this clock speed when i restart? also, i notice the default settings downclock the gpu when it's not doing anything intensive, and they go up to 500/800 when they need to. if i lock in my oc when i restart (if i can), will it still downclock when it doesn't need the speed?
It has a Core 2 Duo T6400 (I know,), 4GB DDR2, and a 9600m GT. The BIOS is version F.2A. I've been trying to overclock my GPU (through software only), though my efforts have been in vain. From what I can collect, the clock speeds are locked in the BIOS. I also can't install Nvidia Ntune because it crashes my laptop during installation.
