I'm trying to overclock the 84.25 from laptop video 2 go but it just won't budge. Every other driver overclocks perfectly. I've tried so many combinations of cleaning the driver and stopping and starting nvidia services and stuff, nothing will work.
View 15 RepliesRecently I've been having trouble with my M1330's GPU overheating. It's been idling at 70-85C and can sometimes get past 100C when under load.
Since I'm going to be in Japan for the next few months, it doesn't seem like there's a simple way for me to send my laptop in to get a new GPU or motherboard, if that's the issue.
So I've been trying various things to try to reduce the temperature. I bought an aluminum laptop cooler with 3 fairly large fans on it, but it hasn't had any significant effect.
I also downloaded the latest BIOS, since I heard that the newer ones increase the fan speed.
I bought my XPS 1710 dell laptop about 2 yrs and some months ago at about ~$4, 150. About 3 weeks ago my GeForce go 7900 GTX died... I've never OC'd any device on my laptop and its been used in normal conditions..
Has anyone else had any problems with their GeForce go 7 series video cards?
did a clean install of Windows XP and this is what I get...
1. when my laptop boots up the bios screen comes up with a bunch of vertical lines...
2. when windows boots up there is a bunch of vertical lines...
3. simple vga mode works... no vertical lines...
4. when I try to install the drivers for the 7900 GTX I get a BSOD...
Warranty...
So far the video card has been backordered twice... when I get called again
and if its for the same reason I'm going to ask what the next course of action will be...
I doubt there are any remaing Geforce Go 7 series video cards...
Just upgraded my VGN-SZ491N to Windows Ultimate 32 bits OS with a 320GB 5400 rpm drive. It is much faster than the 4200rpm drive.
Anyway, after the fresh install of Win732 onto my new hard drive, I need to find the drivers for my built in Intel and Nviaid video card, can someone kindly tell me where I can download those drivers to complete my install.
I have this question, if you have detachable video card, and once you unhook( uninstall it physically) would you still be able to see the Video on external display?

Have used my HP 2000 laptop many times to connect to a big screen TV using the VGA output jack and hook it to the VGA input of my big screen. Now, for some reason, there is no video output to the big screen, I have tried 3 different cords (VGA to VGA) and get nothing on two, and on the third I get a video transfer but it blinks off and on both on the monitor of the laptop and my big screen with only about 1/2 of a picture showing on both. When it did this, I tried repositioning the output jack on the computer output and it changed the picture somewhat, but could never get it to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was able to resurrect it several times. Don't know how but it would work for a while then crash again. The card was a 9600M GS DDR2 and the laptop model was an Acer Aspire 6930G. Judging by the picture below of my start up screen. Would you say it's directly related to the video card? The windows noise would play with that screen but recently, it doesn't even play the noise anymore.

i've attached some pictures of what the screen looks like after the jumble for clarification. it basically just jumbles up whatever is on the screen at that moment, and then freezes it.
I have a new T430 laptop with Win 7 32bit.Since the beginning I have issues while watching videos on VLC media player or Winamp. The video flickers and gets stuck for couple of second whenever I move/push the laptop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a G72 with the Radeon 5470 gpu. 2 days ago my wife received a bluescreen on Windows 7x64 stating that the video driver had stopped working. From that point on the G72 would not make it to the desktop without the screen going dead. The machine boots to safemode fine. I tried as much as I could think of to resolve this issue but eventually backed off her data and restored to factory. The problem persisted and I ended up disabling the ATI card in the control panel. The machine seemed to be working after that.
I begin the long process of brining the OS up to current. About 2 sets of updates after Win 7 SP1 the problem came back. I booted to safe mode and checked the driver and discovered that it had been re-enabled. I have tried disabling it again and rebooting. Sometimes it stays disabled thru reboot but sometimes it does not. At this point the machine will go to a dark screen (not just black video but dead) after I sign on. This was happening without regard to the enable or disable status on the ATI card.
So... I attempted to do another rehang of the OS and got about half way thru. Windows setup now tries to reboot and after the machine comes up, the screen goes dead. Is there a way to disable the card in bios? Can the card be physically removed?
I just want to know if my laptop video card is upgradable? I have the 4745G core i3 330M with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 514 VRAM. I want to know if it is possible to upgrade it to 1Gb or 2Gb any brand of video card.

But I overclocked from 400/600 to 525/900, and the difference in performance was huge!
3DMark06 before: 1,700'ish
after: 2,077 !
RTHDRIBL 640 x 480 window before: ~ 50 fps
after: ~ 70 fps
----> around 40% increase!
W.E.I.: Aero/Gaming Graphics before: 4.1 / 4.7
after: 4.8 / 5.2
The good news is that my load temp has only increased a few degrees:
before: 72C
after: 75C
getting the gpu overclocked, its a 8600m gt, yea i know i know, im guessing it has windows vista 32bit.

i recently upgraded my 1730 with a x7900 cpu.. when i overclock this cpu to 3.4ghz, as soon as the system reboots when exxiting the bios the fan speeds go to max speed and are very loud. when i get to the desktop i cant even turn the fans down or off using fangui.. does anybody else have this issue and is this the bios making the fans go full blast.. this is hard to use the lappy at 3.4 when the fans are blasting full throttle all the time..
