I have a new hp 15 r007tx laptop with windows 8.1 pro x64. Now I am facing a problem related to wifi. I've installed the required drivers but it keeps disconneting frequently. (sometimes its working just fine).
View 2 RepliesBasically, i recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad U410 blue from Canada Computer & Electronic. Everything was good until recently, I am having trouble connect to my home network!! It was fine, but two days ago, it just frequently drop out from my home wifi( keep saying limited access, no internet connection, then identifying.....no network access)
The problem is, all other devices i got are fine! My other laptop, my phone, and my ipad are all good to connect to my home wifi!!! And what's more confusing is that, my U410 is OK to connect to other network like the hotspot I set up from my iphone(just trying), my frds' wifi......And what's even more bothering, is that it happened two days ago, and yesterday the problem just magically disappeared!! I used it surfing internet for the whole last night with my home wifi and no problem with it.
However, i woke up this morning, problem popped up again,, can't connect to internet! I mean, the signal is super good!!!! no problem with detecting network, even connecting, it just wont identify or whatever. Drivers all up to date! I mean is a brand new computer....
SO is it my laptop's problem, or my network adapter's problem , or is it my router's problem!!!
Trying to resolve why laptop pc disconnects frequently from its wireless connection. No discernable pattern to disconnects, totally random. Happens in cycles of disconnect/auto reconnect or will go hours of stable operation. What I have noticed is tht the connection speed seems to vary, from a hig of 54.0 Mbps to as low as 2.0 Nbps. At same time the desktop pc (hard wired to modem) stays connected at 100 Mbps.

It tells me to "Use the switch on the front side of the computer, or function keys if available to enable wireless capability on this computer. I cannot find that switch or button anywhere. I'm not sure how it was turned off as it is not my laptop. One day it worked the next day it didn't.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the HP G72 Notebook PC and it operates on the windows 7 home premium 64-bit operating system. I was once able to get on my internet without any issues. I changed my carrier to uverse and was still able to connect for a week or two and then one day my computer says that no internet connection is found. Other computers connect just fine except mine's. I made sure that the wireless key was engaged and it was.
I then tried to restore my computer to an earlier date in hopes that whatever happened would be reversed. The system wouldn't allow it and wouldn't complete the request. Now When trouble shooting i also get the following message. "an error occurred while loading the troubleshooter: An unexpected error has occurred. the troubleshooting wizard can't continue." The only thing that I remember doing before this problem occurred was changing from google internet surfing to explore. It work for a short time thereafter and then stopped.
I purchased an HP ENVY dv6 Notebook from Costco today, running Windows 8, an Atheros AR9485 adapter, and connecting to a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Router - Model# F7D6301 v3.
My problem is, in the past 6-7 hours of usage, I've lost connection 3 separate times. The first two times was fairly brief, lasting only a few minutes. I closed out the Internet Explorer Application, and upon reopening it and attempting to connect again, worked fine. The last occurrence, however, lasted 15-20 minutes and finally resulted in me just hard wiring it in.
I'm brand new to HP computers, and Windows 8 all together, so I'm not sure where to start first. I've searched around the web, and on the forums here, but haven't found a fix.
I use the wireless router daily (hard wired) for my Xbox 360, and rarely, if ever, has issues connecting.

My laptop constantly loses connection to my wireless router and I'm forced to use the windows troubleshooting tool to hook up again. This can happen over and over again multiple times over the course of an hour or so. I'm using an Xfinity wireless router and have several other devices hooked up to it wirelessly that do not drop connection. These include iPhones, iPod touch, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Mac notebook. And no, they are not all accessing the wireless at the same time. I've reinstalled/updated the drivers, adjusted my power saving settings, restored the system to its factory settings -- basically everything on the troubleshooting list.

Recently I did a format to a hp ... PC notebook HP Pavilion g6-1381sp ... And after installing windows 7 64bit no wireless connection was visible, it didn't recognize my wireless network.
I tried installing the drivers in the official website for network controllers and after that the problem persisted. Also to note, the wifi light remains orange.
Wireless network is deactivated by hp connection manager after hibernating, sleep and sometimes when I use the computer. I can't see any preferences in HP Connection Manager to correct this, or in Windows power management.
What is the solution to keep the wireless network activated ALL THE TIME??
Uinstall of the HP Connection Manager doesn't work, then I can't activate the wireless network again!
My computer:HP ProBook 4530s (brand new)
Windows 7 Pro (included with the computer)
No other power or wireless utilities installed, just HP utilities as installed from the factory.
My laptop has been very happily connecting wirelessly for many years and all of a sudden in the last 2 days it is refusing to connect wirelessly saying there are no wireless networks. the wireless button is turned on and all other devices in the house connect. I have tried wired via an ethernet cable and all is fine. I have tried updating the driver and backing out to the previously installed driver and neither resolves the issue.

- updated driver and changed channel - no improvement
- returned pc and tried replacement - same problem with regular dropped connection
- tried pc on neighbours router and monitored connection - no problems
Still don't know whether it is a pc or router problem and am reluctant to buy a new router just to find out.

My internet frequently disconnects from my Aspire S3-951 notebook with Athros AR5BWB225 wireless adapter. The adapter is loaded with driver version 10.0.0.227. Is there a newer driver that will prevent the frequent disconnects?

Whichever one is the mobile version), the mouse occasionally loses its wireless connection to the computer, and so I have to click multiple times to get it to register.
This is annoying enough for me to consider getting a wired mouse, but I want to know if I get something like an MX518 if I'm still going to run into the disconnect/lag issue.
In other words, is it a wireless issue or a Logitech/PC/Mac conflict issue? I experienced both with and without the Logitech software installed. The software is currently installed.

I'm repreatedly (and increasingly) losing wifi connection to router - all other devices using the same wifi connection (desktop pc, nexus phone, samsung phone) all retain connection and internet access but the Pavilion keeps dropping off.
