May 5, 2009I just bought a BZ-560 and I down graded to XP Pro.
Im trying to use the motion eye camera....I had to find the camera capture utility, ver. 2.1 and I loaded it but when I open it, it has a blue screen and says no input for both camera and video.
So when I go to control panel, printers and hardware and find the camera when I click on it the camera opens just fine and takes and saves pictures etc. but I want to get the video working.
Does anyone know how to make it work...I re-installed the driver still same thing. I looked on Sonys site under my model and have the latest driver...but its the camera utility thats the problem.

Jan 23, 2009I have been having problem with Atheros ar5009 on dv5 for the last two weeks. I did clean install and it didnt help. I tried almost everything on the web to solve the problem but no luck. I just called Hp tech support today but they want me to do the system recovery but I couldnt do it because I did the clean install.
I am thinking of replacing it with different wireless card. I don't know what is compatible with my system. I have amd turion x2 2.1 ghz. the wireless uses pci-e slot. can anyone recommend me a wireless card that will work with my laptop beside atheros?

May 4, 2009HP has great customer service.....i have an hp compaq laptop and hp printer..and had great experience with customer service...they come to your place to collect n everything.
but one problem..they never seem to make laptops with high end specs...all their laptops have great design, great secondary features..but the specs never touch the gaming level.
especially the graphic cards.
of course they made the 20" dragon..but i am talking about smthg in 15 - 16" area.
are there any models out yet which have atleast 8600M GT?

May 27, 2009ordered another LCD and tried to replace it, to no avail. I opened it up and everything was hooked up right. Then I tried the other LCD, he gave me with it. Same thing. When I hit the fn f4 in vista, it appears to try to switch but the LCD never comes up. Also, when switching display modes, the LCD will flicker breifly (VERY BREIF). This does not smell like a video adapter or motherboard problem. I am still working on it and researching but figured I would see what all of you thought.

Anyways... I always had problems with the wireless internet. When I purchased the unit, the wireless would keep dropping speeds and lose connections randomly. I read around some forums and I swapped out the Intel 2200 wireless card for a Atheros 5001 card.
No luck. Tried maybe 6 different drivers, changed many settings, and rebooted countless times. Still could not connect to the internet at all. The swap put me in a worse situation than before

May 13, 2014I have a Notebook hp430 with Windows 7 64 bit ultimate. After having some sort of driver/virus that was freezing my computer, again i reinstalled my laptop with windows 7 64 bit ultimate .
Now it can't connect to the internet through wireless. I've tried all the basics: pressing the WIFI enable/disable toggle key on my keyboard, restarting my computer, enabling disabling the internet connection in the network area, etc.
Under Device Manager I see 4 devices related to the wireless internet:
1. Other devices >1> Network Controller
2>pci device
3> pci simple communications controller
4> Sm bus controller
- all the above devices have yellow warning sign next to it - the error is for having no drivers installed.
What should I do? How can I get my wireless internet to work again?

Jan 30, 2010if the Intel Ultimate-N 5300 Wireless Wifi Link Card will work on my Dell XPS M1530 laptop?
I currently use the Intel 4965A AGN so i have the 3 antennas connected to it, But i can't find any confirmation that the 5300 will work with the M1530. I see that it says it's for the Centrino 2 but i don't know if it's for a certain motherboard or chipset.

Aug 26, 2009the wireless driver on the Dell website does NOT work. Googling this problem leads me to believe that I am not the only one with it.
However I have not seen anyone with a solution; most people are just linked to the Dell website and the Dell driver, which doesn't work at all.

But after these steps my mouse didnt work. Mouse was turned on but doesnt track my pointer or click every role of mouse. Im using windows 7 64 bit. Sep 7, 2014I recently had to open up my HP G7 laptop to blow the dust of my fan and under the keyboard. When I put they keyboard back together, my wifi didn't work. I'm now on a ethernet connection. Opening network connection, there's no wifi adapter icon. I've tried installing the driver, but mid install I get this message "The driver files you wish to remove will not be removed as the corresponding card is not installed". I don't know what this means, but when I finish the install, the wireless connection is still not shown in network connections, and the driver doesnt show on device manager. What else can I try?

Jul 8, 2014I have a HP Pavilion g7-1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I bought a new hard drive so I had to install Windows again. After the installation the laptop can't connect to the internet either by wifi either by Ethernet. After trying troubleshooting it says that windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.
At the device Manager I can see that there is an exclamation mark to these exact components:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
BCM20702AO
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Can I download all these from somewhere ? And of course I will download them to another PC as my laptop doesn't go online at all. I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet just fine.

I sometimes try to connect to a network, then the wireless led suddenly orange although Wireless is Enabled. My friend who has an XP system can connect to that network in the cafe just fine so does everybody else, but on my system, it says connecting, then the icon turns orange as if there was no wirelesss card installed.
I am using the Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN v12.2.0.11 Driver which was installed through Windows Update along with HP Wireless Assistant v3.50.2.1
Now I have an orange icon for wireless, although wireless is enabled in both device manager and through the touch key.
the icon will turn blue if I restart and wireless access will be restored, but I will lose it again if I try to connect to a wireless network.
