View 1 RepliesThanks to a post by PDSway, I got the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 Advanced Wireless Card working fine with the Windows 7 64-bit 13.0 drivers on my XPS 1340.
Has anyone been able to successfully install the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 Advanced Wireless Card 13.1.1.1 drivers for Windows 7 64-bit?
I get an error code saying it couldn't find the digital signature for the driver
I came across an intel 7260 card and installed it in my HP G72 with no problems. The notebook boots into Windows 7 64 bit with no errors. As soon as everything loads I try to connect to the internet and get "No Wireless networks found". I was using the intel wireless manual troubleshooter which stated the "radio is off" I checked the f12 key and have a blue light. Device Manager sees the adapter with no errors. The windows mobility center has the wifi network area greyed out. The Hp Wireless Assistant only shows bluetooth. I switched out that card for the old card and can access my network. if there is an fn key combo I need to press or a command I can enter in the command prompts or a regestry setting that needs to be changed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI followed a couple threads on here on how to format and reload everything from scratch. It has worked perfectly and I'm much more happier without the Dell bloatware. That said, the only issue (not sure if it's really an issue) that I'm having is with the WiMAX 6250 driver. I downloaded the latest drivers from here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...18748&lang=eng
They aren't even listed on Dell's website (not that I would use Dell's over Intels anyway).
The wifi and everything seems to be working fine. However, when I look under device manager, it's the only one that has an "!" on it. It says that the driver isn't loaded.
Again, I don't know this is really a problem since it's working, but I just wanted to make sure this won't hurt me down the road or if anyone else knows how to fix it.
Is it possible that I replace the Z11's stock Wifi with the Lenovo Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250? I may use upcoming Sprint 4G data service that required a WiMax card. I can order the Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 from Lenovo.

I wanted to know if it would be possible to upgrade the processor on this computer from the centrino duo to the centriono duo2 processor.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a Dell 7520 and it has four 3.0 usb ports. However, I have discovered that one program I use does not support Intel 3.0 USB ports only USB 2.0 ports. So the only port that program will use is the Realtek USB card reader on the 7520 because that is a native 2.0 port.
According to a poster Innogen on the Intel support forum "The BIOS in my Dell Inspiron 7520 allows me to disable it so that the USB 3.0 ports revert to USB 2.0 functionality." but I can't find any such functionality in my BIOS (using version A06).

I tried uninstalling the Intel USB 3.0 drivers in WIn 7 Ultimate hoping that when I rebooted it would install USB 2.0 drivers but it simply reinstalled the USB 3.0 drivers.
I would really like to get this program working on my computer and while I am not happy about losing USB 3.0 functionality I can live with it until the vendor gets its act together and starts to support Intel USB 3.0.
is it possible in the XPS M1530,

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Sony Vaio Z-540 without a problem for about a YEAR
until recently (about a month?), my wifi has been acting up.
My wireless card is Intel 5100 AGN
The problems are:
1. Sometimes, I do not get wireless from the startup . my wireless isn't even in the Device Manager...
2. When I do get wireless (Device manager confirmed), wifi connection disappears with even the SLIGHTEST MOVEMENT!
3. When I do lose the wireless driver (no more on the device manager), I put it to sleep, wait 5 seconds, wake up, and my vaio detects it. [but this isn't the case for ALL the time, sometimes I have to restart the vaio]
I thought it was a loose wire or loose card, so I opened it. The wireless card is bolted down with 2 screws. So i put everything back and it still has the SAME issue.
Also, I've updated the Intel 5100 Driver to the latest (When I finally got my Wireless driver seen on the device manager) but still the SAME problem, so I'm back on my OLD driver. still same problem, of course.
when I do have my wifi, my wifi just disappears with the SLIGHTEST MOVEMENT on my laptop. It has to be still...
Ethernet connect, however, works 100%
i dont know if we are allowed to paste links..
but here goes
Ebay-SXPS13
if you look closely enough it has a Centrino 2 sticker on it and in the info it says Intel Next Gen wireless..
i thought Intell wireless cards(hope this one has 5100 or 5300) wernt compatible with the SXPS13....
i just got the card today, but my dell xps 1330, has 4 connetors at wwan, how do i install it ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a Latitude E6500 from the outlet, and it only comes with B wireless. People on the forum have mentioned that the E6500 has 3 Mini PCIe slots. One is full length and has 3 antenna connections, one is half length with 2, and one is half length with 1 (for Bluetooth).
I'm planning on upgrading with an Intel 5300 wifi card, it's amazing how cheap they are on eBay. The 5300 comes in two configurations, full and half, but it's a 3x3 antenna, so it'll have to go in my full length slot.
However, most of the listings seem to be for half, and they cost the same. I figure I might as well get the cheaper half length card that also saves .5 ounces of weight if it'll fit in the slot, and the antenna wires will reach. Does anyone know if this would work, or do I need to find one of the full length cards?
Can I put Intel's 4965AGN PCI Mini Express card, basically the wireless card for a notebook, in my Dell Latitude D620 and have it work fine?
View 10 Replies View Relatedi have been having an issue that has me perplexed, i recently did a clean install to windows 64 bit, and now i cannot seem to get the intel wirless client to work, it will only let me use the windows wireless client. I downloaded the latest drivers and utilities and software, both from the intel website and the dell site, installed both, but does not allow me to use the intel wireless client. what I am not doing correctly to activate the intel wireless client.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe DV5T seemed to be working pretty well for me and no real wireless issues.
What has happened is that since I upgraded to Windows 7 and the new drivers, I get some hitching, rubberbanding in games, slow speeds at times, etc.
Now I know Windows 7 is pretty rock solid and the new drivers came from the HP site.
But when I started googling, seems TONS of people have issues with the 5100 card and maybe I was just lucky before.
At first I noticed my card speed goes from ~50 MBPS to max of 130 MBPS. After reading, it seems even though my router supports 40ghz dual channel yadda yadda, the card only goes to 2.4 so it can't really run at 40ghz is my understanding and that 130 MBPS is pretty much the cap.
That said, it was that way before the Win 7 upgrade so that shouldn't change anything.
One thing I noticed is that in my device driver before the upgrade, it was a normal 5100 but now with the drivers, I see a 5100 AGN.
I can't find how the AGN and non-AGN versions differ?
Could it be I have AGN drivers for a non-AGN card?
Lastly, is this wireless card removable and upgradable or can I use the slot (empty) that I have for another card and disable the wireless 5100 through BIOS?

Based on dannyres's thread and my other driver threads, I've decided to post the latest drivers that are compatible with the HP ENVY 15 premium series notebooks. It is part of my ongoing, informal commitment to help assist those who had performed clean installs on their HP notebooks. Please let me know if you find newer drivers or other devices so I can update this post!
NOTE: All of these drivers come from HP's website, Microsoft Update, and from other reputable websites (including other manufacturers). All of the drivers here are WHQL Certified or digitally signed drivers, available as of the date when this post was updated. These drivers should be compatible with the notebook series stated above, but I am not responsible for technical difficulties that can occur as a result of improper driver installation!
Following along the same lines as the other driver threads, the process of installing and updating drivers is for ADVANCED/EXPERIENCED users only. Average users can use the drivers located at the HP support portals -- they're the safest and simplest way to go in terms of drivers for your specific model. Some of these drivers may work with notebooks other than the stated brand and models, but this is NOT guaranteed. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK -- only install these drivers if you know how to revert the changes that you have made should any problems be encountered............
i want to upgrade my wireless adapter to either the intel 5100 or 5300 cards. i understand that the 5300 has three antenna connections, whereas the the 5100 has two antenna connections.
currently i have the dell 1397 i believe. i know that the card has to be half-height mini, there are a bunch available on ebay.
from this thread:
E4200 + intel WIFI 5300 - can someone have a look at theirs ?
it seems this guy was succesful in upgrading the card on his e4200, the third antenna connection was available on the board itself.
anyone have success upgrading their wifi adapter to the 5300? just would like to know that it's easily done before ordering it, otherwise i guess the intel 5100 will suffice.
Anyone know where this can be found in stock? (other than ebay)
I'm looking to upgrade my Latitude E6400 and it seems everyone is out of stock

if the Intel Ultimate-N 5300 Wireless Wifi Link Card will work on my Dell XPS M1530 laptop?
I currently use the Intel 4965A AGN so i have the 3 antennas connected to it, But i can't find any confirmation that the 5300 will work with the M1530. I see that it says it's for the Centrino 2 but i don't know if it's for a certain motherboard or chipset.
