View 1 Replies View RelatedI have followed the topic "Sony SZ750 Win7 64bit clean install (should help on other SZ's)", and everybody has problem of getting camera work (with cold boot).
I have found out since I have used driver from http://www.ralphg.com/public
my camera works fine (I completely shut down my computer and boot it again)
The thing is that this driver is not working with Sony Camera Utility, but it works with other program that involve camera (like I use Yahoo Messenger to start my camera, and it works very well).
My Lenovo Easy Camera has stopped working. First I tried updating drivers from Device Mananger but it said my drivers are up to date then I tried installing the new drivers manually from lenovo's website but no gain.
OS = Windows 8.1
driver version = 6.2.9200.10240
driver provider = Realtek
I just bought my ThinkPad E431, the camera is working fine. But after a while the camera stop working.

I have tested the following on 2 identical W540 machines.After installing Windows 8.1, the internal camera is not working. I dont remember if the camera worked before we installed 8.1. I have installed all relevant drivers and updated all windows updates. I have installed all drivers from System update.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a new issue on my fresh Yoga11s, camera is not working anymore whereas camera seems OK in device manager.
No led is ON when I start camera application. I tried a factor reset without any success. It's like camera is software disabled but not sure.
I just installed Skype, mostly to test the camera, and the green light is on but I can't see anything. Skype just shows an outline of a camera with a diagonal line though it no matter which camera option I pick.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a brandnew Thinkpad E530 with Windows 8 and integrated Camera. But the Camera is not wotking. When I start the Camera-App, the green Light of the Camera starts to shine, but there is no preview. Theres is only a picture of a crossed camera. Also if i start skype, my skype-partner can't see me.
I already had a look in the BIOS if the Camera is enabled (it is) and reinstalled the driver of the camera.
I have a T440p with a Windows 7 professional 64 bit. I got the same problem: camera light is on, but I can't see any preview but only a crossed camera on a grey background.
Since my operating system is Windows 7, I don't have a "setting app" in my laptop.
The built-in camera on my T-530 is not working. I made a thread about it on Microsoft's support site, but I haven't been able to resolve the issue. [URL] ....
When I try to capture video with a program, All I get is this symbol:
It does this with every program I've tried including Camera, Windows Movie Maker, and Skype. The programs can still record videos and save them, but the only thing that appears in them is this symbol.
I've tried changing my permission settings. I can give skype permission to use the built-in camera, but it doesn't work. For whatever reason I don't have to option to give permission to Camera or to Movie Maker.
I've also reinstalled the driver for my camera. Then I ran the Lenovo Solution Center and Lenovo Thinkvantage System Update and updated everything I could.
Based on the advice I got from Microsoft tech support I have run the hardware trouble shooter, installed all the Windows updates I could get, reinstalled the built-in camera driver in compatibility mode and updated my BIOS driver.
After all of that, it still doesn't work.
I have been using the Communications Utility (Lenovo - Web Conferencing) when I first bought the laptop, a few months ago everything was fine. But now when I press F5 (hotkey for camera options) there is a pop up with massage "Communication Utility Main UI has stopped working".
Everything is fine in Device Manager.
Is it a hardware problem? Is there a way to check?
I got my thinkpad T530 last week. I tested the skype after opening the box and it works. Then I took off the original 320G HDD and put my 830 SSD on it, reinstalled the win8.Just last night when I tried to chat with my parents on skype i found out the the camera is dead. I tried by doing so:
1) according to others threads I uninstall most of the unnecessary drivers;
2) reinstall the camera driver;
3) deleted the ricoh media driver;
4) updated the BIOS;
5) tired to locate someone mentioned, the "privacy" problem. But the video/camera option is not even showing up by Fn+F6;
6) downloaded and installed the thirdparty AMCAM and it says no camera device can be found.
I can't found my camera device in device manager and there is no imaging devices in device manager. There is no camera tab in Communication Settings (Fn+F5)...
I tried to install
"Integrated Camera Driver (1.0M) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - Notebooks"
"Integrated Camera Driver (0.3M) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - Notebooks"
but nothing happened ..
In the first time when I installed the windows the camera was working but now it's not !!
My Laptop is : ThinkPad Edge E530
My OS is : Windows 7 32-bot
why the Windows 8 camera app show the camera with a slash across it instead of an image?
I also tried the manycam app and same behavior is noticed. Is the camera bad? I checked the driver version it is the latest that is on the Lenovo Site for Windows 8.
My T430s camera(Windows8) is not working now. The LED light is on when I start the camera, but no imamges show up. I checked the driver, and it's already the latest version. The camera was working at the begining when I got my laptop, but I don't know what happened to it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedApplied 7CCN35WW over the 34 firmware. Veriface stopped working, says there's no camera present even though camera is present in Device manager. Skype is not working either, says camera is used by another process even after a fresh restart.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy warranty has no run out so dell can't actually support me. Whenever I try to use the camera the blue light comes on as if to say that it is working but the picture is just black. When I click to take a picture regardless a box pops up that says "Unable to capture a photo. Please reconnect your camera and try again". But if the camera is integrated how can disconnect it? Have tried reinstalling drivers and even the webcam manager itself but it has not worked.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am considering upgrading my laptop to 64 bit Vista. How do I identify which camera version I have so I know which drivers I need? I've looked at the properties in device manager and it just identifies the camera drivers as 'Microsoft'.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo i just reformatted this PC and loaded, W7 on it but im having a horrible time with the cam, the image appears dark now when before it was a much clearer image even in low lights.
The Cyberlink You Cam software that came with it, was ok so i re-dowloaded that again but im still having issues the lighting is very poor.
low lighting conditions or bad drivers cause this did not happen until i reformatted the thing. I really don't want to go back to VISTA
I placed an order last night for a refurb m1330. The spec for the system says that it is the LED screen and has a 2.0mp camera. I thought this config didn't exist -
View 10 Replies View RelatedI initially bought a m1210 dell laptop without the integrated camera option. I recently purchased a new cover for my laptop (the old one cracked.) this time it included the camera.
I installed everything together and it all looks fine But Im not sure If Im actually able to plug the cord for the camera anywhere.
I've got a UK Sony Z (VGN-Z11VN). I've got a dual boot Vista/7 setup that has been working fine. I used my motion eye camera about 1 month ago in 7 with no probs. Recently it's no longer there. By that I mean no camera installed, no devices in device manager (identified or not). I've not changed anything recently. I booted Vista (not used for months) and it's also absent from there!
There are no options in the bios that I can see to disable to camera, so I'm not sure what's happening.
As it's failed in BOTH vista and 7, and I knew previously it worked I'm assuming there's a hardware failure. Could it somehow be software?
I don't know of any way to be sure without fully re-installing, which I've not got the stomach for just now. Is there a linux live distro on usb or cd/dvd that I could boot from to check if the camera hardware is still present. Alternatively is there any way I can install windows on an external drive (usb/firewire) - I think not, as I don't want to mess with my existing install as I'm pretty busy.
do you have to use ichat to take pictures ? the last time I tried taking pictures with the camera it would only allow me to do it in ichat, I just wanted to take pictures and not chat.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow can I tell if I have the .3 or 1.3 MP camera? I bought the 1.3MP but can't seem to get any resolutions close to that.
My mini 9 is running windows XP.
When I go to 'My Computer' and choose the 'Integrated Webcam' option and take a picture, the resolution is 352x288.
Does anybody know why the option for a webcam is not present on the Precision M6400 64bit configuration page (US)? This seems like a really basic option that should be available on their flagship machine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust about to receive a previously loved M4400 that is missing 1 feature I need for work and personal use: the webcam.
The question to all the M4400 users out there is: has anyone replaced the camera module? If the only thing required for me to exchange the existing mic only module with a cam + mic module? Is a different bezel used?
What is the part or assy. number for the webcam/mic board? The bezel with openings? Ebay has some Dell bezelcams but none that specify for M4400 or E6x00
i'm trying to find a way to deactivate the indicator light that turns on (green) when i start my built in camera!i'm using it a lot and it's very annoying!!does anybody know if and how i can do this??
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recieved the Aspire one notebook for a christmas gift not to long ago and it is an awesome little gadget. But what just happened a few moments ago is the camera decided it wasn't going to work anymore and I got a message saying. "Camera not detected." I tried doing restarts resets and even did a eRecovery only to be told that it was a usb device and that I need to "plug it in". I don't understand why it decided to randomly stop working and I'm rather annoyed by it and would like some assistance on this issue. I had to send back one notebook already because the power source was busted I really don't want to have to send this one back too.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon Powershot G5 and I am trying to connect this to my Sony Laptop.
The camera uses a 3.5mm AV cable but I am unsure where to plug into the laptop. In the yellow female port on the back? And I do not know what cable to use. I cannot find a male to male Audio Visual cable.
