I bought a new HP 15-p036tx and installed a windows 8. The wireless adapter was not visible in network adapters. I tried installing all network drivers, but the Broadcom drivers are giving and error and exiting.
View 7 RepliesOne day my computer was real slow so i decided to factory restore my notebook, so i did. But ever since after that, i no longer can use my wifi for internet access. The only way i can connect to internet now is by ethernet cable. I called HP Support and they said i was missing a driver , since im sure i can just download what i need online for free on the HP site.
So, The bottom right icon shows a computer with a X on it. My F12 key is on with a blue light lid up. When i go to HP Connection Manager it says Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN) Disabled by Device Manager. When i go into Device Manager > Network Adapters, all the drivers i see are these three
"Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)"
"Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI"
"Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller #2"
This is all i see. Am i missing any other drivers?

The laptop is a HP EliteBook 8440p running Windows 7 Professional Win7Pro.
The HP Wireless Assistant has the following message: Wireless LAN Adapter: This device is disabled in the device manager and cannot be enabled from Wirelss Assistant. It can still be turned off.
I have checked the device manager do not see where to turn it on.
There is a blue light on the above the keyboard and on the front side of the laptop. It's turned on in the bios. I've tried to resintall the driver.
The wireless device model # installed is:

How to proceed? I hope to avoid a complete resinstall.
My compaq presario CQ62 laptop's wireless adapter frequently disconnects while I'm online. is there a driver update that will correct this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently had to open up my HP G7 laptop to blow the dust of my fan and under the keyboard. When I put they keyboard back together, my wifi didn't work. I'm now on a ethernet connection. Opening network connection, there's no wifi adapter icon. I've tried installing the driver, but mid install I get this message "The driver files you wish to remove will not be removed as the corresponding card is not installed". I don't know what this means, but when I finish the install, the wireless connection is still not shown in network connections, and the driver doesnt show on device manager. What else can I try?

My signal srtength from the router is a full 5 bars, but the connection drops every few minutes, and then resets just fine. I LOOSE WHATEVER I'M WORKING ON.

My pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

I'm using HP Pavilion Dv4 3106tx. I do'nt know what happened but out of no where my wifi adapter somehow stopped working. whenever I enable my wifi button, the bluetooth only works and the wifi icon that usually shows on the lower right of the Taskbar doesn't show. I also checked the Device manager>Network Adapters, the wifi adapter is not there. I also tried "Scan for hardware changes" but still there is no Wifi adapter showing up.
Right now I'm just connecting through ethernet for internet connection because my wifi is not working.
I have a M1530, with the Dell 1505 Wireless N card installed.
To say the least, it is probably the worst card I have ever seen, getting no more than 6Mb/s on internal transfers (basically wireless G speeds) even though connecting at 130Mb/s.
I have a Dlink Extreme N DIR-655 router and it is pretty good, so I know it isn't that.
Looking at PCMIA cards on the internet, I suddenly realized that there is no expansion port on this system (or I am just stupid and can't see it), so I have to go with an internal card.

I have this "problem" (is not actually a problem but I would like to know what the problem is) I have a usb wireless adapter since my laptop didn't come with a wireless card built in.
Its working fine but there is something that bothers me, I have 3 usb ports and one of them doesn't recognize my usb wireless adapter!

Other devices do connect. If I change my router to 802.11g, but change no other settings at all, the HP doe connect. But if I flip the router back to 802.11n, the HP sees the network and correctly identifies it as an 802.11n network, but will not connect.The Router is a D-Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4ghz).

I have a Compaq Presario F572US, and for some odd reason, my wireless adapter keeps disappearing! I reinstall the wireless adapter software, then I make sure the wireless switch is turned on and after a number of reboots, the wireless adapter will show up, for me to connect to a wireless network. Once I reboot, then the adapter just completely disappears! I go to device manager and I don't even see it in the network adapter section.
I scanned for virus and spyware and my system appears to be clean.
Does the Inspiron 17 have a built in wireless adapter?

I can't even view the wireless adapter in my hardware profile anymore. I'm able to connect wired but not wirelessly. I've reinstalled access points, but it didn't work. Nothing has changed in my setup to cause this to stop working.

I have run the driver update tool, and it says that I have the most up to date driver installed. I have also run the "Diagnose Problem" tool, and it says that there are no problems. However, the computer constantly looses internet connection. I assume it has something to do with the wireless adapter, because all of the other wireless devices in the house have no issues. But the Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is not detecting the wifi which is worked properly before resetting the OS. when i run the troubleshoot option under HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT it shows a red mark while resetting the adapter.
