I have an HP Pavilion dm4-1150ea running Windows 7 64bit.
I bought a bluetooth audio receiver and it paired with the laptop and installed a driver. I was able to stream audio to the receiver but when I closed the laptop and later opened it, it stopped working.
I looked in device manager and the bloetooth radios were no longer there and there were no bluetooth devices under Network Adapters. They had been there previously.
I rebooted a few times and it still didn't work. I got it to work once and it coincided with putting the power lead in. However, it didn't work for long.
HP Wireless Assistant says that Bluetooth is disabled in Device Manager.
I tried downloading the latest bluetooth driver from the HP site but it won't install because bluetooth isn't running.
At some point I got a message saying that a USB device had failed. I can see a warning icon on an "Unknown Device" in the USB Controllers section of Device Manager.
I tried to do a system restore but that failed because it couldn't get access to a file.
My Bluetooth is not working since I update to Windows 8.1. I tried everything. Not working. Driver error. I test through a driver scanner. It days I needed Ralink Bluetooth PCIe Adapter version 2.9.27.0 .. Where can I get it?
I recently Upgraded my Laptop to windows 8.1. Before i was using Windows 8, in that i used Bluetooth to send files. But after upgrading to windows 8.1 Bluetooth is not working at all.

This could be due to updating drivers for my wireless card through Windows Update recently. That seems to be around the time that it stopped working. I need bluetooth to use my wireless mouse for work.

I have a HP Pavilion 15 p001tx. I haven't been able to get the Bluetooth working ever since I bought the laptop.
I mean it neither detects any device around it nor itself detecting any . Its really frustrating even as i have installed the latest device driver for Windows 8.1 through the HP Support Center.
I purchased an Envy 15-J108la notebook about a month ago (Windows 8.1 64). I also bought a Microsoft bluetooth mouse to use with it.
First I noticed mouse stoped working randomly, maybe 2 times a day. Sometimes it was enough to turn it off and on again to recover it, but sometimes I had to reboot.
I updated the bluetooth driver (Intel Bluetooth 4.0 Driver, 2014-01-18, Version 3.1), problem persisted but seemed to occur less frequently.
Today after installing an update for the wireless adapter the device manager reported that the Intel Bluetooth 4.0 device was faulting. Tried to dissable and re-enable but the device simply dissapeared. Now device manager reports a "Unknown USB device" with error 43, and bluetoth devices are not detected, no matter how many times I reboot.
I purchased the HP ENVY m6-n113dx laptop from Best Buy and a 240gb SATA III SSD. When I re-installed the OS from a previous license that I owned for Windows 8.1 Pro x64, I could no longer get the Bluetooth radio working. The Qualcomm Drivers work great, or at least Windows doesn't find anything wrong with them. I did not format the original hard drive that came with the laptop so I replaced it to see if the bluetooth radio was working on a previous Windows 8.1 installation to find that it works great.
The drivers that were installed on the working OS are the same drivers as the replacement OS. The radio works with the previous OS, but not with the new OS. The only difference that I can tell is in the BIOS settings where I disabled the "Security" option regarding the HP Secure Keys.
I just recently purchased the HP Pavilion x360. Not sure how to get my Blue Tooth mouse to work. Says Blue Tooth is not anabled. Can you instruct how to enable this?
