Just when i try to start windows audio its shows error 1079 The account specifided for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process !
I signed into my laptop as usual and realized the sound had stopped working for me and i believe i didn't change any settings.
It is saying that the audio service isn't running and then when i right click and then click onto playback to devices it says i don't have any.
I've tried most of the adive on the internet such as device manager (says i have them and they're fine), uninstalling the driver and reinstalling and using a system restore point to before my most recent update. These have resulted in no change to the situation.
I also tried starting the windows audio service on the services and it failed and came up with error 1068.
I am using a HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC, Product #WA683UA#ABA. There is red X next to the Speaker icon. When I hover my mouse over the Speaker icon, I see the following message, "the audio service is not running." How do I correct this issue?

I just got my new system, and wanted to remove the crapware before creating my recovery disks. I did that, then ran the Sony utility to create the recovery disks. I did not install anything.
One thing I uninstalled was SQL Server. I have no need of it.
Building the recovery froze at various stages of completion... 44%, 27%, 21%. I got an alert with the error, "Failed to start database service". I finally caught that error right away and dismissed -- then the system finished building the recovery disks.
Great -- now I have to wonder, are the recovery disks even valid?
Also, what database service does the system want, and what process wants it? I now get this error at arbitrary times. Sometimes on startup. Usually whenever I do anything with install/remove programs. So is this some new Windows 7 enhancement to the registry? Have I created a time bomb in my system by deleting SQL Server? If Windows 7 needs this, why did it let me delete it?
So far I wish I had a DOS machine. It's unfortunate that my work requires me to use Windows -- the OS treats me badly, and I can't use my new machine until I can predict whether the initial setup is valid.
Today, I turned on my laptop to discover that the audio was not working. I have tried updating the drivers, restarting the computer, and trying the default repair tool, but nothing has worked so far.

The past few weeks, when I start my computer up, in the top left corner the screen shows the words "Boot Error". It doesn't do this every time, though. I can easily get out of this by hitting any key and it starts right up.
also the past few weeks, when I shut this computer down, the battery charge light flashes at a regular rate till the computer shuts down.
What does that mean?
FYI, I don't have a battery in this notebook because it died about 5 months ago.
I am using ProBook 4530s. Last year I have installed Microsoft Home Professional 64 bit. Yesterday, I delete the partition of my linux system and after that I am getting the following error;

I also followed the steps for recovery, but failed. How? I put window DVD and restart it, after performing the initial steps, On the Install screen I click "Recovery option". I got the message the I have Window 7 Installed. After clicking next, it says that the window resovery option is not compatable with window. What to do in this case. I install this window in my home country now i am in China, where every window product is in Chinese. Second I have much more research data any i do not wish clean format in any case.
I have a Probook 4730s with Windows 7. I continue to get the following error after the computer starts up -

It does not appear to have a negative impact but it is annoying get this at each start up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my HP Probook 4530s where sound sometimes won't play. I downloaded the approriate audio driver for my computer. If I click on an application that needs administrator permissions and the User Account Control pops up, it won't play the system sound like it normally does. If I click on the speaker icon on the bottom right and adjust the volume slider it doesn't make a sound. I've also noticed that when I stream any type of video on the internet, the video won't play until the sound works again. Sometimes the video plays with no sound, then the sound catches up. I've tried many different browsers but the issue keeps happeneing regarless.
When my computer ran Windows 7, the audio worked fine. Videos always played, and system sounds always executed on cue. My motherboard got replaced at the end of last year due to overheating so I don't think it's a hardware issue. The weird thing is that this issue isn't consistent. One minute the sound could be working flawlessly, but two minutes later the sound just stops working.
I could try and capture a video of the issue I'm having and post it on Youtube, but it's difficult since the issue is sporadic. If I do get a video of it, I'll be sure to post the link.
The GT20L DVDRAM Drive in my Probook 4510S is not detecting audio CD's or software CD's but it does seem to run video DVD's OK.
I have tried the Microsoft Fixit tool, which says there is a problem but it can't fix it.
II have checked the registry for upper & lower filters but there are no filter entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrenControlSetControlClass(4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318.
I have tried creating a registry subkey.

I have uninstalled the driver, removed the drive, refitted the drive and allowed auto-detection and installation of the drive, all to no avail.
I have, of course, tried updating the driver but each time the system says that the best driver is already installed.
My sound has suddenly stopped working on my laptop. Speakers are enabled and set as default, but it fails to play a test tone.

Connecting my laptop to the TV with a HDMI cable worked fine then suddenly the next time I did this I had no sound and when I right click the sound Icon I noticed it read ATI High Definition Audio device not plugged in. View 9 Replies View RelatedSpeakers in the laptop play music fine. When I use the headphone jack the music in my headphones has very little dynamic range. The music sounds squashed. The loud parts are limited and the soft parts are raised to the point that I can hear the background noise in the recording. I have never had this problem on any other PC.
I am listening to iTunes, Soundforge and any other program that has audio.
I have a HP dv7t. Works great but on occasion (twice a week or so) I get an error message on startup that IDT Audio has closed due to an error. The error message is the typical Windows Vista error message that you receive when a program unexpectedly closes down. Because of this, I have no audio from my speakers until I restart my computer (headphones do work though). The IDT Audio Settings program that runs in my taskbar is still there, so that didn't close.

I was just about to buy an XPS M1530 today, and then I found out that you can get a 12-month-no-intrest-for-XPS-systems deal (it ends in a few hours) with a Dell Preferred Account.
