HP 15-R074TU Display :: Audio And Video Drivers?
Dec 6, 2014Recently 2 weeks back I have bought HP 15-R074TU laptop free dos. I have installed windows7 64 bit. And other required softwares, I have problems with audio which is very low. Video display is not proper, movies are not comfortable to watch without any reason get stucks. I have installed HP recommended video and audio driver but still having problems.

Sep 7, 2014I have an HP Pavilion dv5-1183cl that has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit) and I have some issues.I have four errors showing up in my device manager, three Base System Device and one Unknown Device, and I don't know what they are or where to get the drivers (since I don't know what they are). Additionally, the battery will not charge (there does not appear to be anything wrong with it physically). I am wondering if the below errors are related to the battery issue. Below are the hardware IDs for each error entry.

Nov 7, 2014I purchased yesterday the HP 450 i3-4000M and after installing alla the necessary it seems that one device is not activated but is staed as "unknown device".
After trying to find ou the identity of this device i found out the code name : ACPI/HPQ6007
I am trying to find the drivers for this device but it seems they are nowhere to be found..

Jan 10, 2010I did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate a month ago and everything is running well. However, I've noticed in Device Manager that there is an unidentified base device which is lacking a driver. Here is the info:

Aug 29, 2014I'm using the W540 with an ultradock and external monitors. After upgrading my W540 to win8.1 64 bit, device manager is showing an unknown device. I'm not quite sure what it is, but almost everything seems to be working fine and Lenovo solution center isn't finding any driver updates.
I did notice that the solution center hardware scan did not test the video card memory and listed that test as N/A. Video and monitors seem to be working fine though and both nvidia and intel graphics show up in device manager.
Device manager lists the device in question as follows:

UEFI boot mode, not Legacy.Drivers for sound downloaded from realtek.com.tw. With standard windows drivers sound is always there. Tried the previous version of the drivers - ineffectually. Could it be that the problem is due to the UEFI boot mode? I do not want to reinstall the OS mode Legacy just to check it out.

After installing drivers, the problem persists.Another problem was with PCI express but resolved with Intel Management Engine Interface drivers.Other problem resolved was with the GeForce 720 M videocard; wasn't recognized but resolved with the last driver from GeForce site. the last problem remained it's The Unknown Devices.

Nov 13, 2009I have the DV9000 series Laptop. It is the DV9235NR model (but not the DV9200 series...shows DV9000 on the bottom).
Anyways...I decided to try to upgrade the interal wireless G with a wireless N card that is from HP. It has the HP part number and everything. When I put the card in, this error comes up. I read that the bios doesn't recongnize the card. I took the card out, booted up to Windows with my old wireless card, put the computer in sleep mode, took out the old card and put the new card in. Works perfect. I know the card it good.
How can I make the new card work without having to do this? I heard about a bios hack. How is this done? Could I modify the Wifi card also? I did update to the newest bios on my laptop (dated 2008) and that didn't work. How about a bios from another series laptop?

Feb 1, 2013I own a Dell 7520 and it has four 3.0 usb ports. However, I have discovered that one program I use does not support Intel 3.0 USB ports only USB 2.0 ports. So the only port that program will use is the Realtek USB card reader on the 7520 because that is a native 2.0 port.
According to a poster Innogen on the Intel support forum "The BIOS in my Dell Inspiron 7520 allows me to disable it so that the USB 3.0 ports revert to USB 2.0 functionality." but I can't find any such functionality in my BIOS (using version A06).

I tried uninstalling the Intel USB 3.0 drivers in WIn 7 Ultimate hoping that when I rebooted it would install USB 2.0 drivers but it simply reinstalled the USB 3.0 drivers.
I would really like to get this program working on my computer and while I am not happy about losing USB 3.0 functionality I can live with it until the vendor gets its act together and starts to support Intel USB 3.0.

Jul 26, 2009I've downloaded a number of updated device drivers for my new FW490, from the Vaio update site. I've noticed, however, that these may not be the most recent drivers. For example, Sony shows the most recent Realtec audio driver as 6.01.5759, but when I checked on another driver site, it listed a newer driver : 6.0.1. 58. Should I stick with vaio downloads only?
