View 3 RepliesI have recently acquired vaio NW notebook. I am not confirmed wether it contains blue tooth or not .
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought yesterday a Sony Vaio VGN-NW20EF/S. I think its excellent but i was told it has bluetooth, it seems to have bluetooth option when I press star and go in to startup folder but it does nothing. I can go to the program files WIDCOMM, and the bluetooth software is in there. BTtray and other files. I also have bluetooth exchange folder. Does anyone have this model and any idea if it has bluetooth,it seems to have....
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just bought Sony Vaio SR, but I couldn't find how to activate Bluetooth. I'm pretty sure that the notebook has bluetooth.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my Vaio since 2007 with Windows Vista Business installed. For a time, the Bluetooth adapter worked perfectly and I was able to connect to my phone,
whatever. For the past year or so it stopped working and I could not turn it on in the wireless switching utility. I attempted installing different drivers with no avail.
Since then, I installed Windows 7 Pro x64 and had hoped that it would remedy the situation. No such luck. I've installed the
Toshiba stack as listed in a post concerned with a Win7 64 bit install on the FZ-190, but it fails to install the drivers saying "Plug in or turn on Bluetooth adapter
I am having trouble with my bluetooth adapter on my Vaio FZ260e. The hardware is not functioning, I goto device manager and it dosen't even read that it is installed. I know it used to be, because I have used it to transfer files between computers. When I check the specs for my computer , it reads that there is a bluetooth antenna installed.| Link for specs |. Does anybody know any possible fixes?
I have also tried reinstalling drivers, also not successful.
I am planning to buy a bluetooth mouse for my Vaio FW. On ebay, the most listings of BT mice are devices manufactured by Microsoft, DPI, Sony, Logitech, Hewlett Packard, Dell, IOGear, and Kensington.
Which brand(s) of bluetooth mice would you recommend for use with the Sony? (participate in the poll above)
After much decided on what laptop to get, I bought a CW on Wednesday. I couldn't be done with all the Norton and McAffe crap, so reinstalled Windows 7 using one of the brilliant guides on here. All the drivers have gone back on perfectly (the GT 330M drivers, HDMI, FN keys and everything), all apart from the bluetooth drivers. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, and even tried enabling bluetooth through SmartWi (didn't want to install it, but decided I had to to try - to no avail), but no luck. Saying that though, USB bluetooth adapters work flawlessly. Anyone got any idea how I can get the built-in bluetooth to work?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Vaio FW450 and I just finished the windows 7 upgrade. Just the upgrade, not a clean install. Everything works flawless except the bluetooth. The computer can't detect it's bluetooth hardware. I tried installing the driver from esupport, but still no luck. how I can get this working?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnybody know what the solution is to the toshiba bluetooth driver that keeps causing explorer errors? I have a VGN-SZ660N. Toshiba makes a update to the driver, but it is only for Toshia brands. As of now I do not know of a solution to this problem from Sony.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHas anyone tried the Vaio Wireless bluetooth laser mice?
I have a sony Z and I really want a small BT mouse.
I do know that those mice are fullsize, anyone have an suggestions on a nice looking mouse for the Z?
If you use bluetooth mouse and don't have vaio update
Now the bluetooth patch is avalible to download
Quote:
Bluetooth Firmware Update Ver. 2.2.3.593.596
This program will update Bluetooth Firmware to version 2.2.3.593.596 and will resolve the following symptom:
- Bluetooth mouse may not respond after a period of time
Bluetooth Firmware Update Ver. 2.2.3.593.596 : Sony Asia Pacific
Sony eSupport - VPCZ119FX - Software Updates & Drivers
Trying to get rid of these questionably useful programs -- but I don't see entries for them in add/remove programs in the control panel (or for any of the other useless VAIO software packages that come on OEM machines sans "fresh start")
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a link to a website or PDF describing how to properly open and disassemble a VAIO VGN-SZ75GN?
I have a VAIO VGN-SZ75GN, bought about 8 months ago, and now I want to exchange the built-in hard-disc with a solid-state disc.
I need some guide with illustrations/pictures, how to reach the disc
I have just been given a VAIO PCG8A2M (GRX316MP) , i was told "it's broken but if you can fix it yo can have it" so having a quick look at it there's no sign of life on the display but the lights come on and i can here the HDD heads moving about.
Looking a little more i found that all the ram is missing , so now im not sure if its worth buying some ram to see if it works or not ? The lack of ram would prob explain the lack of display but i wonder if i should be getting POST beeps at least, which im not.
So my question is if a VAIO had no ram should (if all else was working) it be getting POST beeps ?
Just performed a successful XP downgrade on my Vaio Z520, but have noticed that on this copy of the Vaio Silver Desktop Theme/Appearance doesn't exist.
I had it on my SZ and loved it over the XP Blue. Is there a way to get it back? I still have the restore discs from the SZ.
I don't know whats the diference (besides the price), between VAIO TZ295N & VAIO TZ395N. Specs in all the websites I've checked say they have exactly the same components: Intel coreduo 1.33Ghz 2GB RAM DVD-RW and 64GB SSD Hardrive. I was wonder if the diference might be in the hard drive interface, with the TZ295N being PATA and TZ395N being SATA.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if the Blu-ray optical drive (Panasonic UJ-232A) of the (old) VAIO Z series will be able to fit into the (new) VAIO Z series? I would really appreciate it if anyone is able to answer my question.
The reason I'm asking is because I'm seriously thinking of selling my VAIO Z690 & just buying the base Sony VAIO Z (VPCZ112GX/S). I may just be able to afford that base model & the icing on the cake will definitely be the UJ-232A drive being able to fit into the (new) VAIO Z series & work.
my friend's new win7-ready CW1AGX/U ... wireless in turned on , how to enable bluetooth ?
View 3 Replies View Relateddoes anyone know of a wireless (assuming bluetooth) remote control that is compatible with my CW when using WinDVD? I am too lazy to have to get up all the time while watching a movie when it is hooked up to my TV.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA couple of weekends ago I did a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate.
In my device manager I don’t show Bluetooth or anything related to Verizon.
I’ am not using either one at this point but am a little curious as to why neither of these 2 hardware devices show up on device manager anyone with an answer as to why? I tried to install the Bluetooth but it was as though the device never existed.
I can't find the Bluetooth option on my new Z in Win7
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone here tried pairing their new Z1190 with an iPhone? So far all my attempts have been unsuccessful. Generally it looks like that:
1) Setting BT to "ON" on both the Z and the iPhone
2) Selecting "Add a Bluetooth device" in the Control Panel
3) The iPhone shows up on the list and I click "Next"
4) The phone displays a pop-up with the passcode -> I select "Pair"
5) The laptop shows the same code and I click OK.............
I want to disable bluetooth, like how I do it with my dell, in the dell, I just go into control panel => bluetooth devices => bluetooth settings,
and then on the first tab, there's an option to "show system tray icon" and "disable bluetooth adapter".. when the system tray icon is enabled, I can right click on the icon and select "disable bluetooth adapter
after seeing that Sony had updated it's drivers page with Windows 7 drivers, I decided to take the plunge and install Windows 7 on my VGN-Z590.
Everything worked out fine, and seamlessly (well, except video, that one got a little weird for a bit, but I eventually figured that out), except for one thing.
I have a Sony SRS-BTM30 Bluetooth speaker. This used to work just fine with my VGN-Z590, when I was running Vista on it, but now that I've installed Windows 7, it refuses to connect.
I can pair it just fine, it shows up amongst my bluetooth devices, but unlike previously, it does not show up in the list of "Playback Devices" (in the Windows 7 mixer/audio controls), and if I go to Audio tab of the Windows 7 Bluetooth Settings, it shows up in the list of devices, but if I select it and click on Connect, it will flash "Connecting" for a second, then return to its previous "Disconnected" state without connecting.
So, I was wondering if anyone else had any similar experiences with their Bluetooth gear.
Also I am wondering what Bluetooth driver you guys (people who have upgraded their Zs to Windows 7) are using? I noticed that there are no Bluetooth drivers listed in the Sony eSupport site for the VGN-Z590's Windows 7 drivers. I tried, uninstalling the Bluetooth drivers that came along from my previous OS (Vista) install, during the Windows 7 upgrade process and tried reinstalling the Windows Vista Broadcom drivers for the VGN-Z590, but that didn't seem to make a difference.
I did a format on my friends Sony NW laptop. Windows 7 found everything except the Bluetooth. What driver package do I need to get the bluetooth working? We don't have any recovery discs
View 4 Replies View RelatedI did a clean install of Vista a few weeks back and I decided not to install the SmartWi application. Is there a way to turn off the Bluetooth in order to get longer battery life? I have just been disabling the Bluetooth in the device manager.
I also disabled the 'Bluetooth Software' from the startup items, but the bluetooth icon still appears after a restart. Does this signify that it is on?
I think when I bought this machine I was told that it had Bluetooth. I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FW190EFH, and according to this specification sheet from Sony, it indeed does have Bluetooth.
I downloaded the latest driver from VAIO's support site, but when I tried to install it, it said that it couldn't detect a Bluetooth adapter!
I bought a Bluetooth mouse today but when I tried to connect it, my laptop is acting as if it doesn't have Bluetooth.
What should I do?
Am planning to get a sony laptop for me. The design simply rocks I am getting mixed reviews about cw and E series. But i made up my mind to get one.
My budget is aroung 40000rupees. Thats around 800$. So suggest me a better one between these two for occasional moderate and less(mosltly) demanding games. I dont care whether its 14 or 15 inch.
Am looking at lower end versions of both the models.
Only difference is CW uses Nvidia Geforce 310 and the E series uses some Radeon 5000 series one. CW has 14 inch screen whereas E series has a 15.5 inch screen. In the models which i am looking at both have matte finish and both has WXGA:1366 x 768 VAIO Display.
which one should i go for. whether the screen quality will be on par to Inspiron one atleast? ( I dont need HD).
im planning on using the laptop for videos, photoshop and a bit of gaming, maybe even a bit more gaming :-)
The Vaio F Series only has 330M Nvidia Graphics Card with i7QM and up to 8GB of Ram and up to 256GB SSD.
The E Series has ATI 5650 (a less powerful version, reduced clock speed) combined with a i5 520M with up to 6Gb of Ram and up to 500GB of HDD ? Why can i not choose SSD ?
