My laptop has decided to stop recognising any USB device I plug into it.
I have tried to uninstall the USB drivers and reinstall them and this has not worked.
I have an acer aspire 5733-6838. When I log into laptop it may have black background and I have to restart to get it to blue and sometimes I log in I can't access some of my icons or files. Mainly microsoft office starter 10 files

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy issue is playing Blu-Ray Discs. I put the disc in, and the program automatically initiates.
After a while though just as its doing the the loading green circle thing the program abruptly terminates.
I have no idea why it does this. When I start the program back up manually and tell it to play the BD movie, it just says "Unable to detect a DVD or a DVD device on your computer.
V570 1066 no longer sees 1tb WD Passport HDD in Explorer. it simply lists it as Local drive E: and doesn't allow access. The drive works fine on another laptop.
Running W7 w/ SP1.
IE 11.0.9600
On mostly when my charge is 96% the charging light starts blinking red continuously , some thimes it does not charge the laptop too , but after some time it starts again.

Yesterday i bought a new keyboard for my laptop and thought while i'm changing keyboard i should open it up and clean the dust within... after assembling (i did everything in place like it was) i came up with a laptop that doesn't boot only powers up the CPU fan working but now showing anything at all and when i try to shut it down it doesn't respond so i have to remove the battery...

When I tried installing drivers for this Atheros wifi card I get the message "the device may not be present or could be unplugged", I have fitted a replacement card but still the same. I have noticed that when CPU Temperature is above 50c the fan turns on, and when bellow 50c the fan is off. This happens on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 14.04. I have had this laptop for less than 3 years.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Acer E5 571 with Windows 8.1 The laptop paired to my bluetooth speaker quickly and with no problem.
However the next time I turned on my laptop it showed as bluetooth device paired when it wasn't. iTunes only played through the laptop speaker and I have to disconnect and re-pair the bluetooth and deactivate the laptop speaker to get iTunes to play through bluetooth every time.
Is this a recognised fault or some incompatibility between my laptop and LG bluetooth soundbar?
I was using my inspiron 1545 the other night and it was charging the battery, then i heard a pop from the left hand side of the keyboard. At this point i noticed that the battery icon no longer had the plug icon on top showing it was charging. I then looked at my power adapter and noticed the blue light was not on on the brick.
Finding this I unplugged the brick and then plugged it back in..POP from the laptop again....and the blue light on the brick went off again. This happens everytime.
So I am guessing there is something wrong in the laptop and the brick turns off maybe activating its short circuit mode protect. Obviously, this means I can not charge the battery.
If i remove the battery and try to run it on mains adapter it POPs as soon as you plug it in and the laptop won;t boot as it has no power...
My acer aspire p3 tablet did not show on TV screen when i plug the hdmi to my TV ....

Brought it back out for a project and when I went to plug in a wired mouse that I used to use with it, it wouldn't recognize it. I figured there was an issue with the mouse so got a new plug and play wireless mouse/keyboard and when I plug the dongle in, it says " 2.4G Keyboard Mouse" but can't install it. I've flashed the bios and nothing.

My Dad has come over here on holiday with an Acer Aspire 5720 Model ICL50. It had been working fine, however this morning we started getting the low battery warning sound, despite the power cable being plugged in. We have taken plugs in and out, taken the battery out etc, but the laptop will show no sign of receiving more power via the adaptor.
I figure its either one of two things - either the adaptor has died, or there is an issue with the power connector in the back of the laptop itself, perhaps it got knocked and damaged internally or something.
i can no longer acess the internet via WIFI. The WIFI symbol is no longer showing. I can only acess internet via the cable line. I had Windows 8 pro installed on the system just fter i bought it and since then there is no WIFI and cannot detect any WIFI with the computer . I have model Aspire E1 - 572 laptop

Anyway, m just wondering, its got a bluetooth button on it, when i press it it says 'no device' on my screen.

I have an acer M3 581T which I bought about a year ago. Now, windows crashed and said there was a file missing. I am no longer able to boot up the system, I've tried the erecovery (alt f10) but it just proceeds and says it's not able to boot. I have no recovery cd/usb at hand. It is of my understanding that this ultrabook has two harddrives. One SSD on which the operating system is installed and one HDD with the other files on.What do I do to make it work again? I do not care if all my files are lost.
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust got my first laptop, and my wife likes using it on battery in her favorite chair whereas I prefer to sit it on the coffee table plugged into the outlet. So we end up charging it up when I use it, and only draining it to between 90 and 50% or so when she uses it. Is this okay to do, should I fully drain it once a month or so, am I being too paranoid about taking care of it?
