Acer :: Aspire 6930- Maximum Resolution Is Up To 1920 1080
Jan 26, 2009
I'm looking into buying this laptop. Certain online websites, such as Acer's, have said that it's maximum resolution is up to 1920 1080, but I am not sure if this is true for all model of the 6930. Other websites say that it only goes up to 1300 something.
I have just taken delivery of my Yoga 2 pro but I am struggling with the setup and cannot get a proper duplicated screen using a Kensington 3.0 Superspeed dock. The Yoga has a resolution of 3200x1800 and my spare screen is a BENQ G2420HD at 1980x1080.
I have already ordered a screen and a dock to replicate this setup in a foreign country and the kit is on its way including a second Yoga 2 pro!
Its becoming available on the Fw31ZJ in the UK and I would like to know how good it is compared to the alternative 1080P screens (dell Studio XPS16, HP HDX 16)
I am planing on buying a Sony Vaio F or FW.When I saw a Sony Vaio FW in Full HD in a store, I felt it hard to read text on it as my eyes started to hurt and I felt it was too bright. Is it just me ? or is it something you get used too ? Are there any improvements in the display of Sony VAIO F ?
I am buying and external monitor for my father's aspire one and i would like to know the maximum external resolution. I am planning on buying the 22" samsung 2232bw
I have a Acer Aspire V5-561G-54208G1TMAIK for some weeks now. I am struggling to get detailed specification about the HDMI connection. Especially, if it will support a 4K monitor (3840x2160).

and

I know that i'll have a better performance with the 20" since it's using the lower resolution but how much of a decrease in performance would i see if i hooked it up to the 23" and it's native resolution? I'll be playing some what intensive games.
all available screen resolutions on the full hd version (1920x1080) of their 6930/6920? I'd like to know if it can be reduced to 1366x768 before I buy the notebook so I can have a true pixel for pixel reproduction when connected to my HD ready plasma. I know I could just buy the lower resolution version of this notebook but I've read that 768 vertical pixels is not enough for this 16" display, too much scrolling it seems and one review even said that graphics on the screen look almost jagged when compared side by side to a notebook with a higher resolution.
P.....8"......1600 x 768 W....10.1"..1366 x 768 X.....11.1"..1366 x 768 Z.....13.1"..1600 x 900..*1920 x 1080 (*hoping someday available in US!) Y.....13.3"..1366 x 768 CW..14".....1366 x 768 E.....15.5"..1366 x 768 NW..15.5"..1366 x 768 F.....16.4"..1600 x 900..1920 x 1080
Couldn't find a comparison chart of this, so I made one just for reference.
I'm set on getting a 1080p display in my next laptop and so far, Sony has the best choices! This is coming from someone who has purchased or influenced the purchase of about 17-18 Dell laptops.
I've just purchased an Acer Aspire 6930. It came with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD and a HDMI out port. The weird thing is that if I can't play HD-DVDs or BlueRay discs, then what's the point of having it? Can anyone tell me why they setup that way?
My Aspire 6930 has 320GB by using two hard drives. 142GB on drive C, 138BG on drive D, and 40GB as reserved. Are there any good by using two drives? It looks kind a stupid to me because drive D is like a giant folder in drive C. Do anyone owns the same model with one or two drives?
Currently I have 320GB and would like to upgrade to more hd space with additional hd, but just can't find info's how to upgrade and which hd do I need to buy.
Also got a question about expresscard 54? What it is for? What I need to buy to get that up and running? For what can I use this?
i am considering an upgrade of my cpu but am not sure wich cpu to buy. Either T9600 or P9600. I know P9600 works cooler and consumes less power, but i dont actualy know how much lower it's performance is. (got my information here and some on intel's website)
My current config is: Intel Core2Duo P7350 2.0ghz Geforce 9600M GS 512mb DDR2 3gigs ddr2 ram.
I'd like to increase the gaming performance mostly, so is the cpu upgrade worth it considering the cost?
I've recently downgraded an Aspire 6930 from Vista to XP and am having difficulty getting the computer to recognize that it has a modem! If I can just get the ethernet/modem/WiFi up and working I'd be set. Does anyone have any idea where I can find the drivers I need to get this thing up and working?
i recently purchased this aspire 6930, new, and i noticed the sound, compared to my cousins aspire, is very low....and i checked all the levels, and they're all max
Does anyone have any experience with using their laptop without the battery. I am primarily using the notebook at home and not mobile very much. Would there be any harm in not using the battery?
Up until now, the speakers have been working fine, especially the 5.1 surround sound.
Though, after reinstalling the Realtek HD Audio driver for my 6930, the 5.1 surround sound doesn't seem to be working as well as before. Although I can still select 5.1 sound, there appears to be little difference in the audio, as now it sounds quite treble-like (no bass at all). I've reinstalled the audio driver several times, with the same result every time.
I just got this latop and installation of Vista was done at first bootup. The thing is, it installs a tone of junk apps too!
I removed allot of it but now it doesn't always bootup. I'll get a black screen only and I have to reboot again. I don't think I deleted any system files but there may be some conflict or something at bootup (sometimes).
Is there a way to reinstall just Vista without all that junk?
I've just bought an Acer Aspire 6930 laptop and I want to re-tweak the whole system again like installing new windows etc etc...so should I care about the drivers? I mean sound driver will be found automaticly and I can download display driver but what about the other drivers like net, webcam, etc etc? where can I find those?
I recently purchased a Yoga 2 pro and a Dell U2713HM montior. The monitor will suport 2560x1440. I am using a Toshiba Dynadock usb 3.0 docking station. I can't get the screen display to be above 2048x1152. I've tried the dvi, vga and hmdi on the docking station. What is the maximum resolution for a second montior for the Yoga Pro 2? How to get the yoga pro 2 to output a higher resolution? It would be disappointing if the max is 2048x1152 on a 27" monitor.
I have an Acer aspire 6930G home theatre system. The screen has been cracked and needs to be replaced. Can anyone help with either instruction on how to remove the screen. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have got the top and sides of the front bevel off, but I cannot see how to get the bottom off and I do not want to damage it.
on my installation of an internal bluetooth adapter (I bought off of ebay) in my Aspire 6930? What exactly do I have to remove to get to where I install it? Where do I install it?
At bootup I will get a black screen after the windows loading bar (at the bottom). It will stay a black screen as long as I reboot. I need to press the power button pressed down until it reboots then I do a Regular Windows Start. I've done the safe start so it can look for disk errors too. But I still get this black screen about 60% of every boot times.
I have recently bought laptop acer aspire 6930 g with following features Processor intel core 2 duo t6400 2ghz 2mb cash Ram 4gb ddr2.
Hard disk 1000gb ( 2 hard each one 500gb) and preloaded vista home premium and nividia 9600m gt 1gb ddr2.
And i notice that my laptop take too long boot time in compare with my friend laptop Dell inspiron 1525 with 1.6 pantium dual core processor and 2gb ddr2 ram and 160 gb hard disk and windows vista ultimate..so is there something wrong with my laptop and how can i speed up boot time and do u think that i can play games like crysis and call of duty 4 and GTA 4 on it?
This model has the Intel 4500MHD and 1366*768 screen. My laptop has a cracked screen. Will a 1920*1080 replacement screen work? I'm stuck with the Intel 4500MHD, right? Even at 1366*768, it has problems playing downloaded HD movies so I know it will be a dog at 1920*1080, but I mostly use the laptop for real work.
