Acer Aspire V3 571G :: Slow Performance In Video Games After 10 Minutes Of Playing
Nov 23, 2014
I have a v3 571G laptop core i7 with a geforce 640m video card. Is not the faster video card but can handle advance video games in medium to high. Every time I play any video games, with settings from medium to high, at the beginning the fps are around 34 to 40 but after 10 to 20 min of playing, the fps gets down to 12 to 20 specially when there is explosions and such. Is my laptop video card dying or is something else?
I have problem with my Acer 5750g. When I playing games cooler work in passive mode, like it dont know that should work as much as possible.
After 5 minuts without additional cooler it goes overheat to 100 degree and turn off instantly.
When i turn my laptop on, the cooler starting work very good, like it should work all the time when it overheating. But after few secounds its turn into passive/silent mode and doesn't work properly till overheat and turn off again.
I've taken apart from 1730 and made sure there was no dust and its quite clean, its sitting up at the back so air is flowing through under it but when playing games all on low settings (playing demigod)
it still slows down when a lot is happening on screen, and the laptop gets extremely hot - even some parts are too hot to touch.
Any full screen game shuts my computer down after 5 minutes of play. I have changed my antivirus to game mode, checked with the company that I was getting the majority of my games from. Is there any way to stop this?
I have a problem with my aspire 5733 fan. Sudenly yesterday it began to make a loud noise (louder than when playing games before). I have noticed that when CPU Temperature is above 50c the fan turns on, and when bellow 50c the fan is off. This happens on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 14.04. I have had this laptop for less than 3 years.
My Acer Aspire 5745g (intel i5, nvidia GT 330m, 4gb Ram) suddenly start lagging...Some Games I play (Vindictus , Dead Space 3 , Far Cry 3 ,...)
I try to bring down quality but fps doesn't fix. I download Anti-malware (don't work). I scan with antivirus (don't work). I do twice format but the problem doesn't fix.
I have some problems with my 3 and an half year old laptop. When I play games on it, it get so warm that it instantly shuts down. Normally it's around 100 degrees but it sometimes goes up to 103 - 104. I also have an extra cooler, 200 x 200 x 20mm, 850 RPM which doesn't seem to work that much. My computer usually turns off 2 -3 times a day and that is really annoying and I don't want to damage my computer.....
I bought my laptop around a year and a half ago, I've been trying to fix this problem for months now. While playing pretty much all video games, whether through Steam, CD or through downloading, at random times while playing my computer will freeze, the sound will start to bug out and there is nothing I can do but manually shut down my computer. My warranty has expired and I am not sure what to do. I've done some reading about under-clocking my CPU and I have no interest in doing that. I keep my drivers and everything up to date so I'm pretty damn sure that this is not a software problem. I want to avoid replacing my motherboard and I will only do so if there is no other option. I am thinking of replacing my hard drive with an SSD
I own this model since May 2013, and all this time I have this problem:
In my drivers list the NVidia GeForce Mobile sometimes is present and most of the time not.
When it suddenly appears it will stay for a few days or weeks and I can play all the modern games happily. But then something will happen computer will reboot and the driver is no longer in the list, and for month until it will appear suddenly again.
This already happened about 5 times. Unfortunately I cannot go to the repair because I bought this device in Taiwan and now I am in rural Russia.
I suppose it might be a microcrack in the PCB or maybe a bad sensor or a bad cable, who knows. This is definitlely not a driver or software issue. Or is it?
This device is very good, but without GeForce it looses about 25% of it's value.

So I reinstalled my windows on my laptop, a few months ago and after that I noticed that my games load very slow.(All games).
One example is Dota 2, it takes about 4 mins to load to the main menu and then I have to start an offline bot match in order to load the map which also takes ~5 minutes. I didn't had this problem before reinstalling the windows and I really don't know what can be the problem...sure I installed all my drivers but not sure if they were good since you get tons of drivers for things your laptop doesn't even have
has anybody else had a crackling sound when playing sound example music/games. i always get it in my right speaker and how can i fix this i believe this is a software/hardware issue as whenever the sound goes off the crackling deaseses.
I have an Aspire 5517 running Windows 7. When on battery power, the computer will not go to sleep if it is playing any audio or video file through the speakers. Pause the stream and the computer will sleep as normal on power saver options, but if I leave it playing on battery power computer will not sleep or hibernate. When battery reaches critical level computer will not shut down and I have to restart windows later. This seems like a problem with a driver.
On my VN7-571G-599B, i have a problem with the wifi.
With Nvidia card (GTX 850M):
In 1920*1080, when i launch a game in full screen, my wifi disconnect (on all games). In 1600*900, when i launch a game in full screen, my wifi still connects but crash 2-3 minutes after. When i launch a game in windowed mode, my wifi still connect.
With Intel card:
No problem !
My drivers are up to date (Nvidia and Atheros Wifi). Avast and Windows firewall are disable for the test.
Laptop, model is "E1-531-B9604G50MNKS". Windows 8. I , its a overheating issue, that's not true at all.
I have turned off this feature where it overheats and it auto shutdowns though power opitons, yet, it still does it. I have never see a laptop so cold have a overheating issue so I cannot be that, lets move on.
This laptop is about a year old? This is my mums laptop and I upgraded it to 8.1, re-installed directX which was such a pain (after I tried everything and become desprate ), tried other games, restored it to factor new conditon, did disk error scans, started the **bleep** laptop up though Safe mode, upgraded the drivers, updated every single thing, did deframents. I have really done everything possible even little things from making the game windowed or running Comptibility mode. There is nothing else I can do. I have changed power options, yes. There is no way to fix this peace of **bleep** laptop my mum wasted money on, even the trackpad freezes from time to time while the laptop remains working this lasts for a few seconds. This is the second product of Acer my mum has bought and its not going really well, both of them were not that great and had issues but this is by far the worst state I have seen a laptop being in and now I don't know if its just windows 8 or Acer but from what I have heard as a pretty hard-core gamer windows 8 is not to bad so, acer... I use windows 7 on all my systems and I will probably install it on my mums laptop.
Right now I am limited to what I can do, I cannot download any updates or such for that laptop at the moment It has recently been retorted to factory new or refreshed because it would not start up.
We are not sending it away to get fixed (What a waste of money), if it comes to it my mum will use my HP not ACER laptop while I use my computer. My laptop is what 4 years old? Still works fine compared to this Acer laptop.
in my laptop acer aspire 6930 g I use Speed Fan programe and I find that temperature of processor intel core 2 duo 2Ghz reach to 70 C and video card nvidia 9600m GT reach to 70 to 72 C and hard disk temp reach to 55 to 60 C during playing games like need for speed undercover and Crysis and many and many times game stop working and laptop hang then game close by itself or I close it using task manager and I do not know if this problem occur due to high temperature of laptop devices or duo to something else and u should knowthat these games work well for some time before hanging problem occur..
and temperature of my laptop devices during normal use is:
processors 43 C to 52 C and video card 57 C to 60 C and hard disk 42 C to 50 C So is previous temperature normal in this laptop and what I can do to solve this problem?
I have an Aspire 1694wlmi with a 2GHz Pentium M, a Mobility Radeon x700 (256mb) and 1GB of ram. I run Win XP with SP3. I didn't do anything to the comp apart from removing its crappy built-in wlan adapter.
The issue is this: whenever I play any game (even as undemanding as UT99) the laptop just shuts down without warning. This even happens playing 8ballclub's billiards sim in window mode for instance.
The whole thing started happening occasionally a long time ago (with Rome Total War at first). Right now, it happens always and very very soon after starting the game (i.e. less than a minute).
I have noticed that the CPU usage jumps to 100% as soon as I launch the game and stays there until shutdown (but this is supposed to be normal, yes?). Also, I tried stopping all non-essential processes (of which there weren't that many to begin with) and the CPU usage is around 0-4% when idle.
I have also opened the lid and look for dust - none there (neither around the processor nor around the graphics adapter)
I tried updating the ATI drivers, but since the Radeon is included in all Acers, it won't let you update the drivers - and Acer doesn't provide updates either. I have installed the Catalyst Control Center...
People have associated such problems with viruses. I use Avast which finds no viruses (I'm installing Kaspersky next).
I have a new Acer 5740g 6979. I am not able to play games on it. As soon as i progress a bit in the game, even at lowest resolution and everything set to low, the laptop shuts down after a while. it powers off.
I have updated the graphics drivers. but still its causing problems. tried playing two different games. it still crashes.
Firstly I know very little on thsi kind of stuff so please excuse my lack of knowledge.
I've had my travelmate 5720 for about 4 months, and for as long as I have had it, it crashes when I play any kind of video. Not straight away, it may be after 2 minutes or after an hour. But if I'm playing a movie, its almost guaranteed to crash to a blue screen, and the system reboots. Its too random to try recreate the problem instantly, other than just playing a movie and...waiting.
Configuration: 2nd gen i7,4GB RAM DDR3 1333MHz,750 GB(7200rpm) HDD, nVidia GT 540M 2GB DDR3 I bought a Dell xps 15 laptop with above configuration on August,2011 with an intention to play latest games.
I played Split/second, NFS:the run ,Max Pyne and recently NFS:most wanted. Split/second and most wanted runs on intel HD with sluggish graphics performance. But the run does not run intel hd,it requires discrete graphics. When I switched to nvidia graphics, every time the game computer hanged down after 5-10 minutes of playing the game. Computer screen froze and sound was looping. Control+Alt+Del didn’t work at this occasion.
I had to manually restart my computer. And a point here, there is over heat beneath the laptop though I use Logitech laptop cooler. Games run on nvidia on battery for about 20 minutes on battery power and heat produced under the laptop was also less. This thing happened with every game I listed above and some other graphics demanding games also. Same games worked fine on my friends Dell inspiron 15 laptop with an 2nd gen i5 ,4gb ram and nvidia gt525m 1gb ddr3 graphics card. And of course, these games were installed from same setup file those I used to install games on my computer. So,there can’t be problem with games file itself.
I called Dell xps premium customer support over phone. They told me to install all latest drivers and bios. I did all the things they told. They also remotely diagnosed my computer but nothing good happened. I then went to dell service Centre at Kolkata. I showed them the problem by playing games before themselves. They reformatted and installed all the things again and changed my harddisc. But my problem was not solved. I contacted service Centre again. But they found no problem after diagnosing my computer. But games did not run. In a nutshell, through a span of 1 year my problem could not be solved. And my warranty period has also expired.
My laptop is an alienware m17x r2, It have been 2 years Since I've bought it, my laptop shuts down after few minutes playing with any game.. And I've Dusted it off many time and it doesn't overheat, I've send it back to my after sales service twice. The first days, it was working like it should, I could play normally.. but Few days after, the problem come back..It is Working for everything! Except For the games.
I have a y550 ideapad (gpu gt 130m) and i have a problem which is similar to others: when i play a game, after sometimes, from 5min to more than one hour, the pc crashes (black screen, but with backlight, harddisk still running, sound buffer played again and again, no response from keyboard) and i have to switch off the computer to start it again and everything is ok.
So i have tested my ram and gpu ram, no problem
I test the temperature - log of gpu-z: Ok except one thing, at the very end, just before the crash, the GPU memory clock goes from 799.2 (which is the speed during gaming) to 800.00Mhz and the temperature goes from 66°C to 255°C instantly. So there is the bug, software bug?
I want to manage the speed of the gpu memory (to put it max to 799.2) but there is nothing in the BIOS....
The fan of my computer has started to make a lot of noise as of yesterday. It's alright the first 5 minutes after start-up but then it goes crazy as long as the fan is running fast. The core temperature is around 47 C on both cores so it's not even that hot and I recently open it up to check if it was dust covering the fan but it was fine (I blew away as much dust as I could but there was really nothing on it).
Here's a video of how the noise sounds : [URL] .........
In the end of the video you can hear the sound at the fan intake
Computer specifications Acer Aspire v3-571G Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6GHZ Windows 8 Bios v. 2.21 Bought August 2013
What should I do? Replace the fan? Is it dangerous to run the computer when the fan is making this noise?
My computer has become pretty slow latetly and therefore the fan is running fast more often, maybe it works to make a factory reset?
Ever since I installed Windows 7, every time I try running a game that I could play just fine before installing Windows 7, such as Rome: Total War, my computer crashes when I actually start playing the game (as in I can see the map and I tell one dude to move and then the game crashes).
When I say it crashes I mean that the screen turns black but the computer is still running and the fan is on and whatnot, but I am unable to make the computer do anything and I have no choice but to hold down the power button to manually shut off the computer.
I have Compaq Presario CQ42-273TU NBPC. In my laptop , if i play video , it becomes very slow. After video becomes slow, everything else on the laptop becomes slow. recently i gave laptop for service also, then also i have issue with video.
I would like to downgrade my bios from 2.15 to 1.X.
The reasons why is because of UEFI mode and I need an unlocked bios so I can turn on my fans earlier en downclock my GPU. Why. Well. My laptop overheats to much in Ubuntu if I use my GPU(710M). How to downgrade the BIOS without change of bricking my laptop I would like hear it.
My laptop is a V3-571G with I7 3612QM, Nvidia 710M, 8 GB ram and Non-glare 15,6 fullhd.
My boyfriends computer has "crashed" after he tried some "optimizing" last night.
When at the login page, it freezes before it is possible to write the password so access to the computer is not possible.
Has checked F2 at boot and D2D is set to be enabled.
When I click Alt+F10 at boot up, it says "wait a minute" where after it loads the windows 8 layout, not the erecovery tool as shown in the video by acer.
How can I check in the bios whether the recovery partition is corrupt or what else to do?
I can´t enter BIOS on my notebook, I don´t know what´s the problem what to do now.
What did I do? I had Windows 7 installed and everything worked well. Then I decided to install Debian GNU/Linux instead. That worked as well, though I had some issues with wifi connection and the system did not shutdown properly. That´s why I wanted to reinstall Windows. In order to boot from DVD, i had to change the boot order, because Debian always changes its own boot priority to max - so at this point BIOS was still working! During Windows 7 setup, I formated all HDD partitions, created new ones and BAM! Windows 7 would not installt because it has some problems with GPT partitions, it said it could not install to this partition (I tried all). So I canceled the installation and restartet the system. Of course now it printed "Operating system not found". I could not even enter BIOS (allthough it showed the normal message "Press F2 ..." and the Windows 7 installation had trouble finding some drivers, so it did not even start correctly. The Acer Recovery I created from Windows 7 (before installing Debian) started, but it failed to copy the first file and ended. So nothing worked. However, I could install Debian again, which is now my OS.
Current situation: OS is Debian 7, it´s working, but I have many problems with it (cannot change display brightness, often looses wifi connection, instantly reboots (!) after shutdown) Can´t enter BIOS: I have tried F2, DEL, ESC, F10, F12 without success. Debian is again at boot priority #1, and I can´t change it without BIOS (so not able to BOOT from DVD etc) I have tried to short the G2201 contact (service manual describes how to use it to remove BIOS password), no success. Maybe it´s import that I use GRUB bootloader, which was automatically installed with Debian...
