I was thinking of picking up a 1810T with an SU7300 and 4GB DDR2; I want something portable, good on battery, and for (very) light gaming.
How would the 4500MHD handle KOTOR, WarCraft III, or TorchLight? These aren't very demanding games and I was hoping to be able to play them on the go...

I add wwan option gtm 382 mo40x in my acer 1810tz dual core.
I solderin mini-pci-e connector 3.9mm hight and sim slot.
wwan modem is unloced.
Why my acer + gtm382 working only bios v0.3108 not 3113 3115 3117 "not boot, display is boot is nothin and tilt " but 3108 working nice.
I need new bios.
Crack bios? Hack modem firmware?

I took an MSI Wind U100 webcam, it has the classic USB connection you expect for! The connector is at right instead at left like the original one.
You need:
-A WindU100 Webcam (1,3 Megapixel, a very good framerate),
-Dremel
-Some wire
-A decent soldering skill
-A lot of patience, and much more crazyness.
I don't want to post a Tut how to do it, you need only to know that pinout is the same and the colours are the same.
11 Black 3.3V
22 Purple D+
33 Red D-

Don't care about the fifth (GND too).
You need four wires to move the connection from the right to the left,and some dremel to leave out some "plastic keys" about the old one. Newer is a little thicker that the old one, so dremel the plastic at back of the webcam too.
The WindU100 Webcam has a led to show when it's used, so if you want you can do a hole to see it in the Acer. I didn't: the plastic is white so i see it too...!
A good idea is to change the whole cable if you have the MSI original one, but i didn't dismantle all....
I have a big problem with my acer 7520. The problem is that i cannot play anymore new games or even watch any movies on my laptop. I got the laptop about a year and a half ago and everything worked great. I could watch movies even when other applications were open. I could play pretty demanding games on it that ran very well. And now about 3 months ago all that luxury stopped and i cant do any of those things anymore. Even an old game like rome total war runs at 9 fps or lower on the main map, i didnt even bother going into battle. Movies stutter and skip frames, and sometimes even get stuck on the same frame with the sound still going as if everything is fine.
My specs are:

NVIDIA GeForce 7000M / nForce 610M

I tried two games:
NFS Undercover and Monsters vs aliens.
NFS undercover was able to run in lowest settings but graphics were like hell!
And monsters vs aliens didnt run at all...
I think, it might be GPU problem? May be my gpu is defective?

I just want to warn you that you can never play games using Sony VAIO Keyboard, I tested all New VAIO models at store, and they all have the same Keyboard issue, and that's:
Let's try FIFA 09 for example, while playing you'll see that there is a problem in the keyboard, when holding arrows Down and Right or Down and Left together to move players, then any letter button to (pass, sliding tackle, sprint or whatever else), the game doesn't response to the letter press.
To confirm that issue, open Word or NotePad, hold Down and Right or Down and Left together, then a letter button for example "s", the letter "s" isn't printed.
So you can never play games using Sony VAIO Keyboard, you have to get a GamePad or an external keyboard.
Anything that tries to load full screen or any games for that matter now refused to run on my dv7t.
I did a fresh install of the operating system AGAIN tried WOW and SWAT 4. NO go.
It loads the game and goes back to the desktop. This is without me ever even hooking up my external monitor to it.
I'm about ready to send it back and buy another mac.
Anyone have any solutions? I'm running vista x64. I tried installing the drivers at hp.com for vista x64 and it told me they were NOT x64 drivers.
I then installed the newest ones from nvidia.com. I also have the same problem with them.

Every time I try to play games, such as Terrarria, The Hidden, Half Life 2, Killing Floor, etc.my computer shuts down. I make it about 5-10 minutes into a game, and it just shuts off. My computer (the Lenovo Y510P) started acting up the first day I bought it. It runs smoothly and everything, but the speakers seem to crackle and pop whenever I play music or games (even at a low volume). I've been seeing that many Lenovo Y510P users have been having this same issue and can assume that the problem is a hardware issue because:
1) Installing different versions of sound drivers AND even downloading the recommended sound drivers from Lenovo DOES NOT WORK.
2) Changing the power options DOES NOT WORK.
3) Plugged in headphones and even bluetooth can hear the static.
I'm thinking about returning this laptop since this is the 3rd day of having it. If there's no fix for this defect, I'm returning it before the 7th day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought Lenovo G510 Laptop with Intel HD 4600 and Radeon 8750M. Everything fine exept the fact it doesn't switches GPUs when I play games. I tried everything. I set it the max performence when pluged in to AC and I set it to use max performance when playing games. Nothing works, the games show that the Intel GPU is working and the Radeon not. I have the latest drivers from Lenovo, I searched over the internet, nothing works. I just cant get the 8750M to work.
