im looking for the xp drivers for a laptop its an acer extensa 4420-5910. i have the sound the bluetooth the cam almost everything except the graphics driver and also the wifi wireless can someone help me out. i tried the drivers from the acer site thats how i got all of the drivers except the graphics and the wifi
View 10 RepliesI just received my new Acer Aspire 5739g and I want to get the lastest nvidia drivers but nvidia says that i can't that acer wants me to do if from there site and they aren't up to date. I can't even do it manually by downloading the updated driver from nvidia. I downloaded the newer driver and the only thing it let me update from my download was the audio driver. my geforce driver is still the same one 179.52. How do i get it up to 186.xx. i'm lost. also can i get rid of this "mywinlocker" what is that.

I installed Windows 7 professional (x64) successfully.
I installed all the drivers downloaded form the support section also successfully.
The problem is that on approximately every 5~10 minutes I get the following message:
"display driver intel hd graphics drivers for windows 8(r) stopped responding and has recovered".
This message by itself is not annoying. The problem is that during skype video call after getting this message I don't see anymore nor my own video nor the video of the called.
Not only this, restarting the call does not fix the problem.
The only solution is to restart skype but this also does not work everytime.
I had similar issue with youtube videos but I fixed the problem by setting NVIDIA as preferred graphics processor for the browser application, however I don;t have such option for skype.

I have an Inspiron 1545 which was on Vista but I have just installed Windows 8. Pretty well everything works fine but my grandson purchased Minecraft to run on the 1545 but when it starts it immediate crashes saying the graphics drivers are incompatible. I have tried all sorts of driver update sites including Dell but simply go round in circles.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to install the latest graphics driver from nvidia. It installs the latest GeForce Experience software but that says the 332.50 driver is up to date. The 337.88 driver is WHQL certified and lists compatibility with the 860m but when trying to install it, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." On nvidia's website, it says "Your product manufacturer requires you to download a driver for your device from their website" but it's 332.50 is pretty outdated at this point. Any way I can get the updated drivers installed?

Have tried several times, re-downloaded the new version (sp61863.exe) but it goes part-way through installation and suddenly informs me that it now will install the 9.17.10.2963 version. It also keeps showing up as this version being the installed driver. Why can't I get the 15 .. version to install?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI replaced the hard drive on my HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The network drivers were the first I tried to install, but I was unable to activate the WIFI. I was able to successfully install the ethernet driver (Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver), so I can get online.
None of the other network drivers listed for my laptop seem to have done anything: Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7; Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter; Atheros Bluetooth Driver. I cannot find any wireless devices in device manager, but the laptop definitely has the hardware because it worked flawlessly on my old hard drive.
The WIFI indicator light on the keyboard is orange, and nothing happens when I press it. It just occurred to me while typing this post that I should check in the BIOS, and I will check that right after I finish; There was nothing useful in the BIOS.
I have windows 7 Inspiron 1545 that keeps going to a black screen, recovering, and then saying "Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows Vista(R) stopped responding and has fully recovered." But I do not have vista. Do I need to update?

the 1704 installs ok but the 1705 reports an error and doesn't install at all. Normally should they install both? Each of them does a different thing ? Why are there two drivers for same thing?
I have a hp mini 210-2145. It had windows 7 home edition 32bit on it but I formatted it and put windows 7 professional 64 bit on. I cant get the wifi to work. I finally got the regular plug in to work but still no wifi. I have went to the driver site and installed both chip sets. and downloaded a bunch of the internet drivers listed on the network drivers list. After installing a bunch of them i noticed the system scan. It detected that i had a 802.11b/g/n WLAN. Thats the irst one on the site so i redownloaded and instaled it and it still isnt working. In the device manager it shows the yellow exclamation and just says ethernet controller.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently formatted my hard drive and put my own copy of Win7 on my Thinkpad Edge 14 (0579-A62). There's no more recovery partition. After being surprised that Win7 didn't have any built in drivers for the display or WiFi, I plugged an ethernet cable in and went to the Lenovo support site. I tried all of the Networking: WLAN drivers but none of them let wireless work. I installed the Intel PROSet software and it just says "Driver is not installed" so I'm assuming it doesn't have anything to do with the WiFi key on the keyboard.

I was wondering if someone could give me a link to updated drivers/firmware for the DVD drive and the Wifi Card. I already updated the Intel Chipset from the Intel website.
Also, what is the best kind of RAM it will accept? I was thinking two 1GB sticks of pc2-5300, but I don't know if it'll accept that much? It is Dual channel memory, but it's only using one channel right now obviously. Any help is appreciated, as I need to get her computer in working order by Friday.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have downgraded this laptop to Windows 7 x64 (from Win8 x64), all was successful except the wifi drivers.
The driver installer supplied from HP just crashes and manually extracting and forcefully installing drivers results in a blue screen crash. I have also tried whom I beleive to be the chipset manufacturer, Ralink, for drivers but I get a "device could not start" error.
It should also be noted that I have a few other unknown devices which may be impeding progress but I could just be clutching at straws.
