I have had an aspire 5920g for about 18 months now and it was all working fine until I updated the graphic drivers, but the drivers stopped installing halfway through and now I can't install any graphic drivers.
I tried to install my original drivers and they won't install. The system keeps freezing and I think thats the problem.
I've tried making a recovery disc but erecovery won't recognize blank DVD's and acer 'support' are only too happy to grab you by your feet, turn you upside down and let all your money fall out so they can charge you for a reovery disc - absolutely ridiculous - instead of actually trying to help me.
And also for some reason a yellow triangle appeared next to the ACEYTS4Y IDE controller a week after I got it but up until now didn't seem to cause any problems.
After a little problems i decided to format everything and reinstall Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Oke Everything went fine untill now: When i install my driver the Realtek High-Definition Audio from official website of Acer. The install does everything fine, after reboot: No Sound...
In the hardware stuff i can't find anything of the installed driver (realtek). I know its This driver i need, because i had it working a while ago before i formatted my laptop...
I have no idea how to do this. When I visit the Dell site and input my laptops info it recommends driver updates.
Most installed without a problem, however the DVD/CD drivers are a mystery. There are 11 recommended updates to the drivers but I cant figure out how to install them.
Some are applications but most are zipped files. Where to begin?
I just bought a new sony vaio laptop. I wanted to install the newest 9.4 ATI drivers for the gpu. So heres what happened:
- Downloaded newest drivers from ati official site - Went to the uninstall programs section in control panel, closes thing I could find to ati drivers was "Ati catalyst install manager", so i uninstalled it and it uninstalled ati drivers within the process. - Then restarted the laptop - Then installed newest drivers with the catalyst control center. - Restarted laptop - After the restart the highest available resolution was 1400x1050, I couldn't find the ati control centre and can find no evidence of the laptop even recognizing the ATI GPU after the restart.
I've gone through this sequence twice now and each time the drivers haven't been updated properly and the same thing has happened.
I've restored the system so now I have the 8.4 drivers on my gpu but I really can't figure out how to update them,

I recently bought an HP. I used my trusty dynex 5 button mouse and plugged it in as soon as I started up windows after setting up the computer. Everything worked fine until recently. Windows would rapidly detect and un-detect the mouse and now it doesn't detect it at all. The usb's still detect my external hdd, so it's gotta be some kind of driver issue even though the mouse worked flawlessly when I first got the computer
How do I re-install the drivers for the USB client? The computer did not come with any disks, I had to burn the recovery disks when I first got the computer.
I am getting my win7 upgrade disc tomorrow for my studio 1555, and I was wondering a few things before I carry out my clean install.
First, with regards to drivers, there do not seem to be drivers for everything on the dell win7 driver page (nothing for bluetooth, system utilities, etc.). I have downloaded everything relevant to my computer, but where can I find the rest of the drivers I need? Also, what order should I be installing them?
Second question is in regards to the recovery partition. Is there any point keeping it? I have heard various things about whether it will or won't work after installing windows 7
I currently have A M1730 with Sli 8800m Gtx and am having gfx card driver problems. I had 197.15 drivers installed when my system crashed.
To cut a long story short, I fully formatted my HDD I have tried installing the newest 197.16 drivers,
188 drivers and the offical 179 drivers from the dell website but everytime I install them my computer freezes after the Windows loading screen and it just goes blank and nothing happens.
if there was a way to do a clean install of Vista (preferably Ultimate 64-bit) on the Vaio Z and have functioning s1/s2 and speed/stamina and Wlan controls. I found the guide for 7, I was wondering if there was something like it for vista, or at least a place where i can get the drivers. My viao Z came with alot of "bloatware", and i'd like to have it snappy.
it has the mata bd-mlt uj230as basically the blu-ray drive......
I was wondering if anyone has the correct driver for this because I can't seem to play any blurays and can't burn anything with it, it just works like a normal dvd drive, does nothing else
I did a clean install so i need the firmware, I tried all the links on this forum and can only find the UPDATE for the driver not the original install..........

I bought an HP Laptop 4 days ago, hp pavilion 15-p018sv, but it came with windows 8.  The problem I'm having is that almost all drivers fail to install with an error message such as:  "the computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"  The weird thing is that I'm downloading drivers through the official HP-Pavilion 15-p018sv Drivers Page for Windows x64, but they still won't install.
I have recently purchased HP 15-d009TU Notebook PC. It came with DOS installed. I have installed Windows 7 64 bit OS. I have downloaded the drivers listed in Drivers & Download section in HP.com but most of these drivers (Intel chipset driver, Graphics driver, Audio driver, etc.) do not work. While trying to install, most of them says that it does not meet minimum system requirements although all the system requirements mentioned in the requirements list are present. Â Now, I am unable to use even the USB ports in my laptop.
I just had to reformat my DV1000 due to a corrupt Windows XP installation. I downloaded the drivers from the HP website but they will not install, it just says FAILURE at the end of attempting to install them. Â The p/n of my laptop is ED338AV.
I reinstalled windows the other day on my V570. Â Everything is working great except the wireless drivers which i cannot install. Â In my device manager under other devices, i get an unknown network controller. Â I have downloaded and tried installing all of the drivers from the lenovo site as well as tried scanning on the Intel site. Â i will get the dreaded "no matched wireless" pop up. Â I am using Windows 7 home premium which is what came on the machine.
I'm not able to install the latest graphics driver from nvidia. It installs the latest GeForce Experience software but that says the 332.50 driver is up to date. The 337.88 driver is WHQL certified and lists compatibility with the 860m but when trying to install it, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." On nvidia's website, it says "Your product manufacturer requires you to download a driver for your device from their website" but it's 332.50 is pretty outdated at this point. Any way I can get the updated drivers installed?
