View 2 RepliesInspiron 15R SE 7520..When I attempt to start my laptop it goes to the Dell logo screen and will not boot Windows 8. I've had the computer less than a month and if I have to restore the system completely it will not cause much of a problem.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have just bought Inspiron 1440. My configuration is - Intel T6600, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 320 GB Hard Disk and 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330.
Further I have also taken 1 Year Complete Cover Accidental Damage Protection plan.
I am thinking of doing a clean install of windows7 on the machine with two key objectives:
Although the Dell Inspiron doesnot come with a lot of bloatware still it has few programs which I dont require.
Partitioning of the C Drive .....
I get electric shocks when I use my laptop while charging. The shocks are felt only at the borders of the body and the base. And sometimes also on the stickers of windows, intel etc on the right side of my touchpad. The shocks are quite strong.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new laptop and every night I lose the wifi connection. I know it's not my router because I am usually running one of two X-boxes in the house and that connect never drops. The laptop works great for a couple of hours and then it drops off. I have tried restarting, shutting down and nothing works. I do all my homework online and cannot afford it dropping in the middle of a test or something. The OS is that wonderful Windows 8 (in my sarcastic voice).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using "Inspiron 15R Notebook (Inspiron 7520), Windows 8, 64-bit, English" I tried partioning the hard drive, unfortunately the OS corrupted and not it throws a boot error.
I have a Win 7 bootable USB. I wanted to boot using USB and install Win 7 rather than Win8. But in the boot options I am not getting options boot from USB.
I recently brought a new Dell Inspiron 15R SE 7520. I'm very satisfied with this Laptop. But,it has Windows 7 Home Premium Pre-Installed and I want to upgrade it to Genuine Windows 8 64 Bit.
So,How can I upgrade it to Windows 8 64 Bit ?
I've recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 7520 and installed Windows7. All Dell latest drivers were installed without a problem, however
whenever quickset is being executed windows revert to the default theme complaining that quickset is not compatible with current theme.
The only change i've made in my theme is the task bar color (i've not installed any third party theme). The above is happening each time
I boot the laptop and quickset runs at startup. I get the same error in every power plan, when i have the laptop in AC and when it's on battery.
Recently, I have setup windows 8 pro on my inspiron 7520 SE but I found it sucks so I've decided to get my windows 7 back.Once tapping the F8 button to access the boot menu as usual, Nothing appears so I searched in the internet for a solution but with no use.Now I am getting trouble to get my windows back and I just need to know how to get to the boot menu and why isn't the F8 key working as it used to ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 just a few days back. Since the upgrade, I'm not able to access any of my USB pendrives and flashdrives after plugging them in the hub. The oc just does not read them. The light on pen drives glows for 1 second and then goes off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought my laptop and the webcam color is a bit weird. I can't seem to find a download link for the Dell Webcam Manager.
How do I adjust my webcam settings? Where can I download the Webcam Manager for Windows 8?
The UEFI thing screwed my head a bit while trying to install Ubuntu 12.10 in Dell 7520, I made separate partition in Windows 8, installed Ubuntu via liveUSB it went well, but Ubuntu didn't load. So, I hit the Ubuntu install again, it asked me to erase previous Ubuntu, I said yes, now the Ubuntu 12.10 works perfectly.
I used boot-repair to repair the GRUB as suggested in some answers in askubuntu, and when I reboot, there was no option for windows 8. I booted to Ubuntu to check the Ubuntu have used whole 1 TB (total space). That means I deleted windows ? If so, any way to get the setup back? I don't have repair disk, nor DVD. Win8 came pre-installed.
I use Windows for windows mobile app development and Ubuntu for Normal use.
This is my new laptop, just purchased today, but this secure bios thing screwed all the fun of using multiple OS.
Anyways, how can I get back the Windows 8?
First i shrink my OS partition and I make other DATA partition. After reinstalling windows I could not access my DATA partition.
I don't know why my data partition become OEM partition.
I cannot install a driver for Intel HD Graphics 4000 on my Inspiron 7520 / i7 (Windows 8 64bit).
I downloaded the driver (11/1/2012, 9.17.10.2843.A02) [URL] .....
But I get an error message: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.".
The same driver works fine on my second Inspiron 7520 / i5 (Windows 8 64bit).
Why I'm not able to install the driver? because of different processor? i7?
I have a big problem with my acer 7520. The problem is that i cannot play anymore new games or even watch any movies on my laptop. I got the laptop about a year and a half ago and everything worked great. I could watch movies even when other applications were open. I could play pretty demanding games on it that ran very well. And now about 3 months ago all that luxury stopped and i cant do any of those things anymore. Even an old game like rome total war runs at 9 fps or lower on the main map, i didnt even bother going into battle. Movies stutter and skip frames, and sometimes even get stuck on the same frame with the sound still going as if everything is fine.
My specs are:
AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 (2 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
2GB DDR2
NVIDIA GeForce 7000M / nForce 610M
I'm unable to boot my Inspiron 15R SE laptop. There are no response from the laptop when I pressed the power button. No LED lights, no disk noise ! The only thing I noticed is the power cable light goes out immediately when plugged into the laptop.
I have tried taking the battery and power cable out , hold the power button for 30 seconds , place battery and power cable back then tried rebooting but laptop still won't boot...
I've recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 7520 SE FHD and following the indications on the drivers download page I upgraded Bios to A9 version. Now I'm having 2 issues, one minor and one that bothers me pretty hard.
1. I can't boot fro USB stick when I try to install WIN 7 again. If I have the bootable usb stick with WIN 7 (created with Microsoft USB DVD Bootable Tool) plugged in the usb port and I press either F12 for boot options or F2 for Setup everything blocks and won't have any other option but to keep the turn on button pressed until the laptop turns off.
I also tried F12/F2 without the USB stick plugged in and I can't find the option to boot from USB neither under F12 menu or Boot menu when pressing F2 for Setup.
2. After doing the BIOS upgrade, the first thing I see, the black page with the Dell Logo seems to be a little broken, meaning the logo is bigger then it used to be and so is the blue line that shows the loading status below it.
I want to upgrade my dvd drive to a bluray drive and would like to know which ones are compatible i.e. will this one work [URL]
View 3 Replies View Relatedover the past week has only charged intermittently. Sometimes I needed to just twist or nudge the power cord in order for the battery to power up. Other times the message stating that I needed a dell adaptor came up.Yesterday the laptop stopped charging and the battery has reduced to zero. It will not recharge and is therefore no use to me as it needs to be constantly plugged in.I have tried a different power supply (same type) and that will not charge the laptop either. Both chargers are the official Dell ones that were supplied with the machine. I suspect it is not the battery either as it took me over an hour to get any power into the machine. Of course it is out of warranty at almost two years old but has been a great machine and I'm loathe to just scrap it.I have another Dell laptop ( a Vostro) which has suffered exactly the same fate and stopped charging after less than 2 years.Three questions:
1) Am I just unlucky that the same fault has developed in two machines, or is it more common problem in Dell laptops?
2) Is there a way to have it repaired by Dell? I realise i would have to pay, but there menus keep sending me back to buy an extended warranty which I am not eligible for.3) If Dell won't repair (or the cost is prohibitive), Is it possible to disassemble the machine and replace the socket that the power supply plugs into, or would it have to be the whole motherboard that is replaced?
My backlit keboard not working , I tried fn+F6 nothing happened .the button(caps lock) backlit working correctly
View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to send it in for repairs. The problem I am experiencing is as follows: suddenly shut off, does not turn on, the power supply LED light (on the AC adapter) shuts off the moment I plug it into the computer.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Inspiron 15R SE which I purchased from Dell Canada in February 2013 recently acted up on me. It was just like any other day, I run the laptop battery down, then plug in the power adapter when its low.
This time however, the laptop just suddenly shutdown (not through Windows, like just up and died). I tried to power it up again and each time, barely 30 seconds after it powers up, it just up and dies.
I had to do work on it so I thought I let it sit for awhile to charge the battery, thinking that I can run it on battery at least. But alas I left it there for even a whole night and the battery did not even charge a drop.
I then tried removing the battery and only running on power adapter only but it won't even start. I have also tried another power adapter but the same issue persists so I can safely rule out the power adapter.
The power port doesn't look damaged either seeing as I have always loyally bought Dell throughout the years, and I really need to get work done (it is my primary computer).
when i power on my laptop i am getting a beep sound 4 times and not able to boot to windows.
i am getting a blue screen error code 0x0000001A
My Processor or Motherboard was replaced recently as it failed(7 beeps),and now after repair the LED indicators lights dont work(power etc,)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought a brand new computer. Started it up and the mouse pad is working intermittently! Sometimes I'll try dragging over to click an icon and it freezes! Is there a problem with the computer? I'll shut down and it will work fine for an hour, then quit working, or move very slowly. I changed all the settings for the mouse pad and still doesn't work correctly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just bought Dell Inspiron 7520 with windows 8 pre-installed. I'm facing the problem that the wireless connection all of sudden disconnects and won't connect again unless I go through trouble shooting to fix the network problem or by restarting the laptop. I'm sure that the problem is with the laptop cause I tried it on different networks and tried different devices on the same network.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis just recently started happening on my 3 month old inspiron 15r 7520.
It doesn't do much other then add another 2-3 minutes to boot up.
Once PC starts up (which takes a long time) it works like normal.
I bought Dell Inspiron 15R SE (7520) like a week back. The laptop is just fantastic and it's working pretty well as intened. Today i just found out that this laptop has a KEYBOARD BACKLIGHT. I turned it on from the Windows Mobility Center, but it's not working at all, do i need to install any drivers for it? I work mostly during night time and a backlight would really good...
View 15 Replies View RelatedI just bought an Insprion 7520, and upgraded the windows os to ultimate. However after reading few reviews of this os, I wanted to switch back to Home Premium so that it would be like I bought it. However after installing Home Premium, some of the drivers that I downloaded from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website were unable to install. These problems have also lowered the laptops score in the Windows Performance Index. The GRAPHICS score went from 6.6 to 5.6 and RAM socre 7.9 to 7.7.
-Intel Rapid Start Technology : "The system does not meet the requirements" (It did when I bought it. What has changed I cannot understand.)
-Seagate Firmware v 0005DEM1, A05 : Got a FAILED message in the dos screen.
-Dell-Hardware version GS002D, A02 : Got a message saying "Not compatible with x64 systems".
I have the service tag and the express service code if needed.
By now you know what error I am getting, but still here are the screens:
I've pressed F2 and all that stuff, here's what I get in to BIOS;
It'sstill under 1 year warrenty.
Only 34% battery left 0x...
