Dell Inspiron 7520 :: Not Charging - Won't Stay Powered On
Nov 17, 2014My Inspiron 15R SE which I purchased from Dell Canada in February 2013 recently acted up on me. It was just like any other day, I run the laptop battery down, then plug in the power adapter when its low.
This time however, the laptop just suddenly shutdown (not through Windows, like just up and died). I tried to power it up again and each time, barely 30 seconds after it powers up, it just up and dies.
I had to do work on it so I thought I let it sit for awhile to charge the battery, thinking that I can run it on battery at least. But alas I left it there for even a whole night and the battery did not even charge a drop.
I then tried removing the battery and only running on power adapter only but it won't even start. I have also tried another power adapter but the same issue persists so I can safely rule out the power adapter.
The power port doesn't look damaged either seeing as I have always loyally bought Dell throughout the years, and I really need to get work done (it is my primary computer).

Dec 1, 2014I am using Dell Insipron 15R 5520 Laptop Windows 7. Last few days I am getting a long beep sound after I pressed the power button and the Dell progress bar loads. And if I press power button, its turning off. Later I've pressed F8 key to login in Wiindows Normal Mode, its opening Windows. So every time i've to press F8 key to login. Sometimes the beep sound continues and not logging in normal mode or in Safe mode.
I thought it might be RAM issue and I checked 'System Settings' in Control Panel, it shows the usable RAM is 2.77GB of 8GB.
I went to Dell laptop service center near by my location and they said its keyboard problem, they charging too much amount to replace keyboard. but my keyboard is working properly.

Nov 23, 2014I have a Dell Inspiron 5521 that is about a year and a half old. In the last two weeks, it's begun to make a beeping noise and will not boot up. As far as I can tell, there's no pattern or end to the beeps -- it's just one beep continuously. The longest I've let it beep before I couldn't stand it anymore and popped the battery out was 25 beeps. There are about two and a half seconds in between each beep. Up until very recently, taking the battery out and putting it back in seemed to solve the problem, but that no longer seems to work.
I've researched beep codes but can't seem to find one matching that description.
Running Windows 7. The BIOS version and date is Dell Inc. A05, 1/3/2013, SMBIOS Version 207.

Apr 8, 2013My 2 year old spilled juice on my new laptop about 3 weeks ago, and now when I power it on it goes to the boot screen, the blue bar doesn't finish loading and it turns off. Ok, today I was just trying things. It's 3 buttons at the top right of the laptop, if I hold the middle one the computer will boot, stay on and I can do everything as normal. But if I let that button go, it turns right off.

My laptop suddenly turned off during working, and wont start again, after giving a day rest, it starts again but before the windows launch it turns off again and wont start again.

when I try to press power button, nothing happens,
but when i remove AC adapter and connect again, power light comes automatically but after 2 seconds it beeps and turned off.
I have tried disconnecting AC power, hold power button for 60 secs, and then connect my AC adapter (power button being pressed) lights come, it beeps for one time and turned off.

Dell Inspiron 7520 SE FHD :: Won't Boot From Usb Drive
Jan 20, 2013I've recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 7520 SE FHD and following the indications on the drivers download page I upgraded Bios to A9 version. Now I'm having 2 issues, one minor and one that bothers me pretty hard.
1. I can't boot fro USB stick when I try to install WIN 7 again. If I have the bootable usb stick with WIN 7 (created with Microsoft USB DVD Bootable Tool) plugged in the usb port and I press either F12 for boot options or F2 for Setup everything blocks and won't have any other option but to keep the turn on button pressed until the laptop turns off.
I also tried F12/F2 without the USB stick plugged in and I can't find the option to boot from USB neither under F12 menu or Boot menu when pressing F2 for Setup.
2. After doing the BIOS upgrade, the first thing I see, the black page with the Dell Logo seems to be a little broken, meaning the logo is bigger then it used to be and so is the blue line that shows the loading status below it.
