Oct 7, 2012I have an issue with my Inspiron N5010 screen, it doesn't work when switching on my laptop on Battery or AC mode. It happens a lot of times when I turn on the laptop the power button, the power indicators at the bottom turns on normally and the laptop is running without any weird sounds. But the screen is pitch black even doesn't show up anything when I concentrate on it in with a lamp or any light.
When I press the power button again even after 5 mins from the start time of being running the laptop just turn off immediately and doesn't take time to switch off as If the windows wasn't loaded!
I was resolving this problem by disconnecting the AC adapter > removing the battery > Pressing and hold the power button for 20 seconds technique.but today it doesn't work anymore, If there's anything I can do to get the screen backlight to work normally ....
Dell :: Bluetooth Doesn't Discover Inspiron N5010
Sep 23, 2010I have Dell Inspiron N5010 with Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.
I installed the latest driver for bluetooth device
(Title : Network:Dell Wirless 365 Bluetooth DriverVersion : A00OEM Name : DellOEM Ver : 6.2.1.1100 Computers : Inspiron - N5010).
I checked it in device manager and services and everything is ok. (Bluetooth service and Bluetooth support service is running and Device Manager: Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth module, Microsoft Bluetooth enumerator ).
The bluetooth sign is on at task bar.
I try to add any device with blutooth add device wizard but It can't discover something.
If I try to connect from another notebook to dell then I can see the dell notebook but can't connect with pairing code because nothing appear on dell (Pairing popup or something else) The "Can see any other device my bluetooth" is on at dell notebook.
So I can't pairing and discovering by Dell but windows doesn't give any error.
I tried more driver from dell and generic windows driver and the problem doesn't appear.

I downloaded and installed all drivers that were recommended by HP but my Sound and Audio doesn't work. Neither does my Mass Storage Controller nor my PCI Modem. All were working with the WIN XP.

Mar 21, 2013I have a Inspiron 15 Intel (N5010) laptop with Win7 64bit. when I start my computer with headphones plugged in and then unplug them, no sound comes from the speakers. If I start the laptop with headphones unplugged then there is no problem (also, when I start with the unplugged, then plug the headphones in and then unplug, the sound from the speakers is ok).
I installed the latest audio drivers and codecs. But now that I think of it, I installed latest network drivers from dell site. I have a TOSHIBA MK6461GSYN hard drive and I wonder where could I check if there is a newer firmware available? Checked Toshiba site and they had some update program but that needed a floppy drive.

Jun 6, 2011I got a Dell Inspiron N5010 which comes with Free Dos without drivers. I have been trying for the last week to make the graphics card work without success. I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I followed the Dell Support drivers page after providing my service tags. Nothing works. Windows still sees that as VGA driver with 16 Mbytes of RAM!!! Cannot have high resolution. Also, the characters and fonts looks ugly compared to my 5 year old Acer!! I also downloaded the drivers at Intel site from URL...All my attempts are in vain. I am not sure what else I can try. Windows insists that it is not compatible. On the other hand, all things work perfectly on Linux mint 11.0 but there are applications I need to run on Windows (unfortunately).

And if I press power button, its turning off. Later I've pressed F8 key to login in Wiindows Normal Mode, its opening Windows. So every time i've to press F8 key to login. Sometimes the beep sound continues and not logging in normal mode or in Safe mode.
I thought it might be RAM issue and I checked 'System Settings' in Control Panel, it shows the usable RAM is 2.77GB of 8GB.
I went to Dell laptop service center near by my location and they said its keyboard problem, they charging too much amount to replace keyboard. but my keyboard is working properly.

Feb 28, 2013This computer is 6 months old. It came with Windows 7, and I did install Windows 8 in October 2012. I have had problems ever since and neither Dell nor Microsoft can support. ANYWAY, until today, my DVD/CD player worked just fine. I used it every few days, but today when I went to use it, the door would not open. I notice the light next to the Open button is not lit up, but my device manager says it is in working order and the driver is updated.
I tried Ejecting from the device manager, but it does not work. When I ran the Dell Diagnostics program, it said that it was unable to run the diagnostics when there is media in the drive or the door is open. There is a game disc in the drive, and the game works, but I think it is downloaded onto the computer, so maybe does not use the disc during play?? How can the drive work and not the door? Is there anything I can do??
Dell Inspiron 1525 :: SD Port Doesn't Work
Jul 2, 2008I have a brand new Inspiron 1525 and am trying to get my photos from a 1 gig sd card into a file on my laptop. I've removed the "fake" sd card that came with the computer and put in the picture card. It opened once (meaning it showed up as as an sd card in the "my computer" area, but I moved on to something else at home and eventually "safely removed" the card without finishing my task. A few days later I tried again but the computer doesn't even recognize the card... the "my computer" area does not list the card as being in its slot.
What is more curious is that if I remove the card and put it into my trusty multi-slot card reader and insert that into one of the usb ports it opens up the iphotos on the sd card just fine and I can upload from there. I know I can just use the card reader, but I really like of being able to just put the sd card directly into the laptop.

This is a new machine and I would like to reset, I have tried tapping f8 at start up but it says resuming start up and then goes to the same screen. I tried to load Google chrome and then it all went south.
