(1) 13.3 inch WXGA Anti-Glare Display
(2) 13.3 inch UltraSharp™ WXGA LCD Display w/TrueLife™
May I know what is the difference between those 2 types ?
I read the clean install without activation, but must have missed something along the way. Is there a different type of upgrade disc for XP to Vista than upgrading from Vista to different versions of Vista? I want to make sure I am looking at the proper disc before purchasing. There are several on eBay, all look to be the same type of disc. My goal is to do the clean install, and if possible go from 32 to 64 bit now that I have 4 GB of ram and a t9300 to install.

what is this "Different" drive called so that I can order the correct one?
Last night my dog ran over the keyboard of my Dell Inspiron N411z . Â The screen now displays upside down. Â I can fix it manually by using the Fn key and the F1 key which brings up some screen options, but I'd like to permanently fix this. Â Oddly enough my dog did this to my other laptop a few years back. Â I'm not sure what he's running across to do this. Â
How to fix this so the screen isn't upside down every time I start the computer?
I have an aspireone that im using in a carputer setup. Rather than mounting it on the floor right side up with the vents to the carpet, I plan on mounting it upside down, giving the vents inches of airspace. Is this a good idea or will the heat rising this way be bad... or will this bring down the hdd's life?

My acer orbicam worked fine, until I installed Ubuntu as dual boot. Now both on Ubuntu and on Windows XP the webcam image is upside down...and I cannot find any controls to flip the image...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a lenovo z580, and my webcam is inverted.
I have tried updating the driver, disabling and re-enabling the device.

In the youcam software I can "flip" it vertically but this does not correct it for use in skype etc....
I have had my Y510 for 5 weeks. Last week I began getting a message that said:Failed to get data from camera. The camera may have been unplugged or busy whenever I starting my computer.
At the time no program was running that was using the webcam and I hadn't disable it. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it didn't fix the problem so, I downloaded and installed Veriface III. Now the webcam image is upside down and doesn't work in the VideoChat program that I used it in previously. My OS is Vista.
I was just browsing the internet when my cat lays on my keyboard, but I didn't mind it there. Then after about five minutes, the screen turned upside down! Tis screen is newer than the laptop.(ideapad y500)

View 1 Replies View RelatedFrom what I've read around here the black keyboard on the Dell Vostro 1400 (PN JM629) fits on the XPS m1330 and now I'm looking to buy it.
The problem is, this keyboard costs $49.99 on Dell. I have found it on ebay for $16 shipped on ebay, but the thing is, the ebay listing says:
"New high quality keyboard
100% manufacturer compatible
Equivalent Replacement Part"
I've had my MBP for about 4 month now and have been having problems with its keyboard since I bought it. First, the "Z" key sank in (I think there was a problem with the spring). I took it to the Apple Store, and they "fixed" on the spot (it's much harder to press and only registered a key press 70% of the time). The lower right corner of the "E" has noticeably sunk in, and I need to resort to pressing the upper left corner. Also, the left side of the keyboard feels "mushy", not hugely so, but definitely noticeable after typing a few sentences. Can I request that Apple just replace the entire keyboard instead of just individual keys?

Is it possible to change the Acer 1810T keyboard to a thinkpad one?
Are they the same size? Could it work?
I love the Acer, just not its keyboard and miss the thinkpad keyboard - which really encourages typing. The acer really doesn't.
If the thinkpad keyboard isn't possible, what else might be?
I currently have an AA1 and am curious to those who tried typing on both the HP Mini and the AA1 keyboards and noticed a difference. I believe the HP's keyboard is 92% and the AA1's is 89% I believe. It feels "okay" to type on, obviously not the best due to its size compared to a normal keyboard, but am wondering if the HP's is worth the price jump (paid 300 for mine).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed XP throught bootcamp on my macbook (black book, the one that was available right before the aluminum ones).
I have two problems.
1. My Apple wireless keyboard does not work.
2. My wireless keyboard does not work when I plug it into my macbook.
The new keyboard on the MBP is very hallow and cheap feeling. My older MBP keyboard feels better. Even the new MB keyboard feels more solid and robust.
The plastic keys feel too light and thin. Anybody else experience this issue with the new MBP?
Any one can give a introduction what is backlit keyboard..

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just received my E4300 from the Dell outlet, it's in great condition with one exception.
The keyboard has a bulge or slight rise in the center. I have the back-lit keyboard.
Does anyone happen to know of a keyboard cloth i can use to protect the screen from the keys?
What im looking for is something similar to the microsuede cloth that was supplied with my iphone.
I recently recieved my Studio 17 notebook from Dell and its really wonderful, everything works as it should except one thing (there always is isnt there)
The problem is with the keyboard, when i type it works fine, but when in games (especially the WASD-keys) get sort of "stuck". Not stuck like they are physically stuck, its more like if i press two keys at once they often freeze so im still strafing left or forward even though im not touching the keys.
This is pretty annoying when playing (cant tell you how many times it got me killed )
anyone know of a keyboard cover they make for the studio xps 13? I find that I tend to wear down my keys (I already put a strip of tape over my space bar cuz that's where most of the wear is).
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got a Dell Studio 1737 through the Dell Outlet, and after a little while the Num Lock light stopped working. The button still turns it on and off, and I've been debating calling and having to deal with them to get a replacement. Another option I've been thinking about is replacing it outright with the backlit keyboard.
My question is this. What will doing this outside of Dell do to the warranty? The Caps Lock light does still come on, so I'm thinking it's an issue with the light, and if I have to replace it, I might as well go with the better one.
Will the keyboard out of an XPS M1710 fit, UNMODDIFIED! into an XPS M170? As in, is it a direct replacement? Asking, cause I htink the all silver look woul be cool.
