I has bought a new E6500 from Dell store, and I heard people said that my laptop had a Dell Wireless 5720 EVDO Rev A Mini Card build in.
But I can not find any driver to use this card, So if you know where is the driver download link, plz tell me

View 5 Replies View RelatedRight now I have a Intel Pro 2200 wireless card. It only has wireless B. I can get a 3945 card for $12.50 shipped that has wireless G and B, or an Atheros card. I'm not sure what the whole wireless "N" thing is, so maybe someone could fill me in on that. Right now I only need the "G" capabilities as far as as I know. Is the Intel Pro 3945 the best bang for the buck? I see theres also a a 4945, but its almost double the price of the 3945. And as I mentioned above, I see Atheros cards, but I'm not sure how good they are. Do they have better wireless pick-up then the actual Intel cards?

The Mobile broadband application that dell supplies for win 7 is very primitive with very unstable network searching and connecting.

im having a problem with my 1525 inspiron laptop, which i have had for a couple of years. The problem started when installed windows 7. My wireless minicard stops working anytime i try playing an online game. The mouse starts freezing and then the wireless card would stop working. The only way can it working again is to reboot the laptop or put it to sleep the start it up again.

I'm thinking about picking up a usb wireless n adapter; which means I won't be needing the internal wireless nic. Since that's a mini PCIe slot, I was wondering if anyone has tried replacing that with one of the many SSDs floating around the web...
2 main questions I have about those:
If they're mini-pciE, why are there sata versions and pata versions out there? There's no sata or pata connector on these cards it seems, the pci-e connector is all there is. Do they somehow use the sata/pata controller on the motherboard via the pci-e bus?
2nd question; would there be any way to boot from one of these? The bios has a bunch of options for booting up, network, usb, usb floppy, etc... but none for mini pci-e or anything like that...
Laptop is a presario C500, more precisely c551nr, broadcom 802.11b/g nic, 80gb toshiba 5400rpm slow ..... hard drive, and a celery 440 running the show..
the wireless driver on the Dell website does NOT work. Googling this problem leads me to believe that I am not the only one with it.
However I have not seen anyone with a solution; most people are just linked to the Dell website and the Dell driver, which doesn't work at all.
This is probably going to sound like a stupid question, but are the 5720 Broadband cards "locked" to a specific carrier?
Meaning can I give the ESN of the card to either Verizon OR Sprint, and have it work?

do get the fact that speed through wireless is slower than with wire, but losing 50Mbps is a bit too much!
The Nvidia driver for my Inspiron 5720 does not recognize my card and won't install. It is the 630M.I did a clean format and set BIOS values to default. The latest BIOS is installed.The drive is from Dell's website.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the 9600m GT out of a 8930g installed in my Aspire 5720 laptop but every nvidia driver that I try to install says that the hardware is not compatible with the driver or some crap.
Am I out of luck with this card or is there a way to force install a driver...or is there a better driver to install?
I've tried the latest 197.16, 186.03 drivers from nvidia. Even from laptopvideo2go...no dice.
I bought a manufacturer refurbished Inspiron 5720, i7 3612QM, 8GB RAM. The BIOS is currently A12. When I received it, it had a bad hard drive. Dell sent me a new hard drive under warranty, but it was blank and I had to use a recover CD to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have installed every recommended and updated driver for all of my hardware components. But, everytime I install the HD 4000 drivers, the system starts to freeze up.
The system runs fine with the Standard VGA driver, but I can't run anything that requires better graphics. I have tried installing every version and they all cause the system to freeze. Sometimes it freezes during the boot up and sometimes it will run for up to 2 minutes before freezing. And by freezing, I mean that it just stops working. Sometime if I let it just sit and wait, it will shut off automatically. Other times, it just stays frozen for hours and I have to hold down the Power button to turn it off. When it restarts, it boots to the Safe Mode option screen. I then have to boot to safe mode and restore the system to a previous recovery state.
My Dell 1505 wireless N card is a constant headache, If I hide my ssid the card detects and connects to my router but I can never access the internet. It may work sometimes but most of the time my SSID has to be on.
I have tested this with two different routers and the results were the same, vista shows local access only

I have tried using drivers from laptopvideo2go and reimaging the computer, I am now fed up and want to get a new wifi car
Looks like atheros is highly recommended but I'm not sure if I have to be concerned about compatibility (meaning if drivers will be an issue)

I just purchased an Inspiron 1525 Laptop it came with the 1505 Wireless N-MINI card. I have a wireless network with the Linksys Model# WRK54G. This network is secured.
I set up connection as WPA-Personal with TKIP, this mirrors my Dell desktop that connects, however it is a G level wireless card. I can not connect to the network even though the signal is excellent.
It may be obvious the fact that the wireless card in the laptop is an N an the router is a G. Will this work or do I have to get the 1395 802 11G Mini wireless card

I got a big problem.
I can't activate my 5530 WWAN Card.
The software switch Fn+F2 can only turn WLAN and bluetooth on/off.
And there are no hardware switch on the mini 12.
And when I'm in the dell wireless manager, and I press activate. It tells me that I new to push a button so that the card is activated.
The newest firmware for the 5530 HSPA Mini-Card won't install on my XPS1640.
Have you had success installing it?

I can get a mini PCI wireless card from eBay [url]. It doesn't look like there's an installation CD in the eBay listing. Will I need a driver for it? What driver would I use? Also, is the antenna built into the card or would I need to add that? If I have to keep buying things to add wireless to this laptop, I'll just stick to USB, although I'd rather not tie up a USB port.

just received a Dell 5530 WWAN Mobile Broadband HSDPA KM266 PCIe mini-card which bought from a vendor on ebay today
Owning an XPS M1330, it took a little trial & error finding compatible drivers and the appropriate SW, but I managed it by feeding Dell's website with various Notebook models in order to get to said drivers & SW.
The SW (Ericsson) came from the Dell Mini 9 section (because the ebay vendor told me that's where he got the card in the first place):
