Dell :: SoundBlaster X-Fi MB Installation
Dec 30, 2009After doing a refresh reinstall on my XPS1645 (and getting the X-Fi MB driver disk from Dell after a phone call), I'm having some issues getting the software to work again.
The installation process appears to go fine, but when I try to open any of the provided Creative programs (Audio Control Panel, etc.), I get the following error message:
The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit.
I'm going to try reinstalling both Creative and the IDT drivers. Has anyone else run into this?

Nov 14, 2009I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate, and I have the driver DVD and all and went to Dell's website.
There are no Soundblaster X-Fi MB drivers or software available for the XPS 1645 and the ones for the 1640 won't install.
Can someone here with a factory installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi MB go into the C:
drive, and zip the Dell and driver folder up so I can get the drivers (and any other relevent folders you see)?

Dell :: Audio M1130 After Windows 7 Upgrade
Apr 12, 2010I installed Windows 7 64 bit on my ~2 year old m1330 laptop and now I have the following issues with audio that I haven't found a solution for:
1. The internal speakers don't work at all.
2. Only the left headphone output works, not both as before the upgrade.
3. When I have both headphones and HDMI plugged in, I have to use the Sound control panel to set one or the other to default (with the "Set Default" button) to switch which one gets the audio.
I'd prefer that it be automatically switched to headphones when I plug them in, and back to HDMI when headphones are not plugged in, but I've not found any way to make this happen. In fact it would be even better if both headphone and HDMI audio were active simultaneously

Â I want to upgrade the memory (RAM), but I don't see any access panels on the underside of the notebook that would make it easy to change the memory cards. Â I didn't find any diagrams or instructions in the user manual, and I haven't found any way videos on the internet. Â I'm pretty handy with computers and upgrading hardware, so I'm not afraid of taking things apart and putting them back together.

Oct 14, 2008I ordered new E6500 that came with Vista on it and I wiped that and have installed XP Pro SP2 on the machine. I have followed the guide on this page and installed everything in the correct order. The only thing that didn't install was the dial-up modem. It errored out and said "No MODEM device was found". Typically on the Latitude laptops I seem to remember installing the modem driver and it taking care of this entry in the device manager, but not this time.

There is a dial-up modem on the laptop and this is the only device that looks to not be installed. There is no webcam, WAN modem, or anything else like that.

Has problem with installing XP onto a E6500? Is the installer for the modem driver just bad or is there possibly something else going on.

I have tried uninstalling the driver, updating the driver, microsoft fix-it, and troublshooting steps. audio device shows in device manager and is supposedly working properly, mute is "not' enabled. visually all audio related things suggest that the audio is fine and troubleshooting finds no problems..Â

I have no audio. It has been previously working, but suddenly stopped. On the small speaker icon there is a red cross indicating "No Audio Output Device is enabled" When I log on to the computer i get a window that says "CWindowsSystem32AUDIOSES.DLL is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."

I have an envy 15t-j000 touchsmart that i purchased in late july and received in mid august with the beats audio option.Â

Ever since I first powered on the computer the audio would skip or fluctuate. I would notice the fluctuation when plugged into my stereo via the 3.5mm headphone jack. It would sound like the volume would lsightly fluctuate or maybe miss some of the lower end frequencies.Â

The more noticeable problem is the skipping. It will make a skipping noise that sounds as if the computer is bogged down with material, even when all that is being performed is playback. It sounds like frequency in the lines. This will occur at random times under various circumstances. It occurs when playing a music file as well as streaming music through spotify or pandora or playing a video on youtube. The skipping occurs in all those circumstances in both output to another source (headphones or speakers) as well as playing through the built in speakers.Â

Is it possible I am missing a driver? Is the sound card messed up? Is it just a problem with the computer? is there a fix that doesn't require me sending it back to hp?Â

When i play a video or any audio on my browser (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer) it does not work, but when i play a video/audio downloaded onto the pc, it works. Why is that?
