Dell Inspiron 7720 :: Unable To Install Geforce 650M Driver
Jan 9, 2013Two weeks ago i bought DELL Inspiron 7720. I bought it with Ubuntu OS.
Last weekend i have reinstall os to win 7 64 bit on it.
Everything works fine but i'm unable to install Geforce 650M driver.
System can't see this card only Intel HD Graphic 4000.
I try to reinstall the OS couple of thimes and everytime my system can't see Geforce.
What should i do to install Geforce drivers ?

Dec 24, 2014I bought a lenovo G50-40 Laptop recently. The Specs are as follows:
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
AMD A8 Quad Core APU
Radeon R5 M230 Graphics Card with 2GB graphics Memory
I installed Windows 8 Enterprise 64-Bit Edition. I am facing is that I am not able to install the drivers for R5 M230 Graphics. I updated the BIOS, tried downloading latest drivers from AMD website too. Still, the system is just not recognising the hardware. It is showing up as Video Controller. But I am unable to install driver even after using driver update option.

Sep 3, 2014I am using HP Pavilion g6 2005ax laptop and I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. I am unable to detect any bluetooth device in my laptop and my laptop's bluetooth also is not detecting in any other device (Say in my cell). When I tried install Broadcom bluetooth 4.0 driver software it showing error "No bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation". In device manager everything is perfect, i mean no undetected hardware.

I would like to change it's preinstalled Linux with a Windows 7 version. But I don't know which exact versions of Windows 7 this particular model is compatible with, because I failed to install the AMD graphics adapter driver from the support DVD disk on a Windows 7 64bit. Do I miss something ? Need I, for example, make any changes in the BIOS ?
I have found same drivers to download, but none of them was successfull for my laptop.

Nov 5, 2013While trying to install Intel Rapid Storage Technology(IRST) Driver on my Lenovo G560 Windows 7 64bit OS it is not able to install and gives me some error regarding hardware not match or etc. error then i came to know that to install AHCI driver i have to change in BIOS Sata controller mode from 'Compatible' to 'AHCI' i tried so and then restart the system but it gives BLUE SCREEN error while windows startup logo and restart again, any solution to use Rapid Storage Technology on G560 and actually this driver was installed when i purchased the new laptop but after certain format and fresh windows installation its no more able to install, how to install it back..........

Jun 9, 2008I am having some difficulty getting a Dell Latitude D630 to connect to a projector. I have tried the Fn key+F8 key however this does not work. This option merely cycles through three other options all saying 'Presentation Mode Off'. I have been successful in connecting other laptops with the projector. Is there somthing with the D630 that I have failed to do that is causing this?

Dell Latitude D630 :: XP Will Not Install - Disk Set For IDE
Mar 4, 2013I have a new hard disk for a Dell D630. I was able to install Ubuntu but I cannot get Windows to install. When I try, it does the preliminary loading but when it starts to install I get the blue screen of death. A Google search on this came up with make sure the BIOS has the disk set for IDE. In my BIOS settings however, there is no setting for this, only an SATA choice of ATA and ANCI, both of which I've tried.

Jan 20, 2009I just got my Seagate Momentus 7200.3 320GB hard drive today. I don't have any external cases I could use to do a backup image and I wanted to do a clean install anyway since I haven't done one to this system since I bought it.
I've tried using Dell's driver disc that came with the system but it's out of date.
The Web site has been a mess as well. Selecting through the service tag Dell is offering drivers for hardware that was never part of this machine and hardware that is apart of it isn't listed unless I look at all D630 drivers.

It seems as though quite a few people have reported this but I cannot find a definite fix.
I have done a clean install of XP Pro followed by the D630 drivers but this is outstanding for a driver or some fix. The only USB item I have connected to the PC is a mouse and this is working O

Mar 10, 2010I just upgraded my D630 from 32bit Vista to 64 bit Windows 7 (wiped the Vista off and clean install of 7). It's working very well, but the touchpad isn't fully functional. I have lost the scroll capability. Dell support says they haven't written a replacement driver and aren't sure that they ever will.

But in this case i dont know how to install xp. and my next question is that can i play cd in DVD-Dual double layer.
Dell Inspiron 15R :: Unable To Install Nvidia Drivers Downloaded
Mar 8, 2013 I don't have the ssd msata option in the laptop I just purchased from Newegg so I decided to buy a samsung 840 250g ssd and do a clean install of win 7.Updated ssd to latest firmware, disabled secure boot in bios, sata was already set to ACHI, installed ssd and started loading win 7. It would get to the point that the tiles are floating around and it says "starting windows" and then locks up. Tried this several times and same thing.
Finally tried changing boot mode from eufi to legacy it works fine. I got win 7 installed. Now if I try to go back to eufi boot mode it just goes to a black screen (on start up) and displays detecting media (or something like that).So I guess my question is:
1. Why did I have to switch to legacy mode to begin with
2. Does leaving it in legacy boot mode affect performance?
One last thing, since installing win 7 I have been unable to install the nvidia drivers downloaded from dell for win 7. It either starts and immediately fails or it installs a little then I get a blue screen and the computer reboots.

Mar 15, 2013I just bought an Insprion 7520, and upgraded the windows os to ultimate. However after reading few reviews of this os, I wanted to switch back to Home Premium so that it would be like I bought it. However after installing Home Premium, some of the drivers that I downloaded from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website were unable to install. These problems have also lowered the laptops score in the Windows Performance Index. The GRAPHICS score went from 6.6 to 5.6 and RAM socre 7.9 to 7.7.
-Intel Rapid Start Technology : "The system does not meet the requirements" (It did when I bought it. What has changed I cannot understand.)
-Seagate Firmware v 0005DEM1, A05 : Got a FAILED message in the dos screen.
-Dell-Hardware version GS002D, A02 : Got a message saying "Not compatible with x64 systems".
I have the service tag and the express service code if needed.

All went well until I had to reinstall the device drivers to get my device to access the internet via wifi. So far, I can't seem to get the driver for the device that allows my laptop to see any wireless connections and have to plug in a network cable to go on the internet. how I can get the right device drivers other than using the device driver disk?

After boot-up and the Windows XP screen, came the installation screen. The laptop stut down after about a minute on this screen. I tried again but to the same effect.
The disk is ok and there is no disk read error.

Feb 24, 2013My ageing XPS M1710 seems to be having an issue since upgrading it to Windows 8. With Windows 8, it's runs lovely, a lot quicker than other OS's, but recently the graphics card seems to be having problems.
I was unable to find a Win 8 driver for the 7950 GTX so I'm using the Nvidia 179.48 Win 7 64bit driver, in order to get the full 1920 resolution. However I seem to keep getting a problem where I get zig zag lines across the screen, sometimes blacks out and comes back with a warning that the Nvidia Vista driver stopped work and recovered.I've read various posts talking about adjusting power save options, underclocking and heat. Also noticed a post that it's more common on 64bit systems than 32 so I'm tempted to rebuild it with 32bit media rather than the 64 I could only get my hands on at the time.

Mar 23, 2009i just bought an acer aspire 5102wlmi without a HD for a friend. so i went and bought a HD and proceeded to install windows XP home service pack 2.
the problem is it constantly stays in a loop, i load and boot from the disc, it copies all the files, reboots, loads the files, says starting windows, and then just starts all over by going back to the setup screen. i've formatted the drive and made multiple attempts. had anyone else had this problem? if so what is the solution?

I have downloaded the drivers listed in Drivers & Download section in HP.com but most of these drivers (Intel chipset driver, Graphics driver, Audio driver, etc.) do not work. While trying to install, most of them says that it does not meet minimum system requirements although all the system requirements mentioned in the requirements list are present.
Now, I am unable to use even the USB ports in my laptop.

Jun 3, 2014I'm not able to install the latest graphics driver from nvidia. It installs the latest GeForce Experience software but that says the 332.50 driver is up to date. The 337.88 driver is WHQL certified and lists compatibility with the 860m but when trying to install it, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." On nvidia's website, it says "Your product manufacturer requires you to download a driver for your device from their website" but it's 332.50 is pretty outdated at this point. Any way I can get the updated drivers installed?

I have both Intel and ATI switchable graphics in my laptop. I recently reinstalled Windows & If I try to install the ATI drivers from the drivers CD or from the HP website, the laptop hangs on the Windows logo after a restart and I have to do a system restore to fix it. If I try to install just the Intel driver it just gives me an error that says "This computer does not meet the minimum requirement to install the software". I am unable to change the brightness and the resolution is bad. In Device manager both the options under display adapter say "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter", with a yellow error sign over one of them. I am worried if the graphics card is damaged from over heating. Is it possible to disable one of the cards to check functionality of the other?
HP Envy 17 3277nr OS/Software :: Unable To Boot And Install Windows 8.1 From DVD
May 14, 2014I have an ENVY 17 (3277nr) with windows 8.1 in it but I'm unable to update it since several months ago so I decided to reinstall the OS so I went to the windows site that lets you download an ISO image of windows 8.1 to burn it into a disc (right now I dont have a 4gb usb at hand but is also possible).
I already burned the disc by right clicking the ISO and selecting 'burn disc image' and changed the boot options but every time I turn on my computer all I see is a single underscore and then the regular windows 8 boot screen.
I already visited wbesites in this regard and I've read things like the windows 8 UEFI thing (not on my laptop since I've upgraded from w7) and the security settings on the BIOS but none of them seem to fix the problem.
Additional details:
Oddly, when trying to open the burned dvd it only says 4.37gb out of 4.37gb, do you think my dvd drive might be damaged?
