I have installed Windows 8 on my Laptop and after installation I have had an issue where I have not been able to install the driver for for the Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 High Speed Adapter because it throws up an error saying that the "parameter is incorrect", how I can get my Bluetooth working again.

It is present in the netherlands site of Dell, but I cannot ge the left edge swipe (to switch between programs) and the 4 finger swipe (to bring up the instant viewer or desktop) to work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to do a restore on my laptop but when i try to install windows 7 it ask for the driver files. (To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files and then click okay.) My laptop came with the restore disk but it worked only the first time i had to do a restore. 2nd time i had my mother download a driver on to her flash drive and it worked but recently she lost the flash drive and now we can't find the same driver that worked before.

I have a dell XPS l502x running on windows 7 home premium. I recently bought a 5550 wwan card ( Ericsson F5521gw 2XGNJ) for which i tried installing dell wireless 5550 driver. it was not successful and i got the message saying authentication failed and no compatible device detected!
Windows device manager identifies the card as "unknown device F5521gw" which probably means that the hardware is installed properly.
I have tried installing this [URL] .... driver multiple times and every single time i got a message saying "Driver installation failed. No compatible Dell Wireless HSPA Mini-Card has been found on this computer. Please insert hardware and restart the driver installation.
here's the problems:
1. The damn CPU whining? I know everyone has it. Dell said last time I called that they're working on some way to fix it. The new A09 Bios didn't seem to do anything for me, or anyone else apparently according to dell's support forum. What's up with that?
2. My laptop wobbles on the top right and bottom left corners. it only wobbles if I use my 6cell batt, and it doesn't wobble w/ the 9 Cell. So does that mean the 6cell's rubber feet thing on the top right corner isn't high enough? Can dell fix that?
3. The "increase volume" media button thing isn't as responsive as the other ones. i have to press really hard to get it to respond. all the other ones i just tap it lightly, and it works.
Here's some questions that I know Dell has no clue what to do with:
4. I'm currently using Vista Ultimate on this only because I couldn't get my bluetooth driver and my sigmatel audio driver to work properly on XP. since dell hasn't released a xp bluetooth driver, i used WIDCOMM 5.1 stack, and the bluetooth headset and stereo headset drivers would disable the sigmatel drivers. really annoying. cmd51229 says he's gotten it to work:..........................
I am currently using a Dell XPS L502x, and more and more often I am getting a blue screen of death. I reinstalled all the drivers for my Nvidia Geforce GT540m but that didn't solve anything.

Before (with Windows Vista), I was able to connect my Dell 968w printer and Blackberry Tour to my laptop via Bluetooth with no problem.

I have a Latitude D610 and I had to replace the motherboard and now it shows the incorrect Service Tag, I can not figure out how to put the correct "Service Tag" in to it. I have reviewed many posts here and still no luck. I have tried asset.com and it says tag not correct and Make Sure setup password's are disabled. When I run the update the drivers unzip and then begin the install process and then immediately cease and begin a rollback.

recently purchased a Inspiron 15R 5521 from Dell Australia and took me a few weeks to install and setup the the system the way I want.
Today, I tried to enable bluetooth but the slider won't move to On mode, so I checked Device Manager and Bluetooth device was labeled as Unknown device.
So I checked my service tag numbered driver updates and there's a Intel Centrino Advance-N 2230 15.5.6.48 A02 driver update, so tried updating to that driver. But it returned device not configured correctly and prompting me to reinstall driver. Reinstalling driver fails with code 1 error.
Maybe something physically wrong with the Bluetooth side of the hardware ??? Anyway to confirm such without doing a full factory image restore as it took ages for me to setup the system the way I want !
I've tried, uninstalling the bluetooth device from device manager and restarting Win 8 and reinstalling device via hardware change detection Tried uninstalling Centrino driver and installing previous version of the driver

Anybody know what the solution is to the toshiba bluetooth driver that keeps causing explorer errors? I have a VGN-SZ660N. Toshiba makes a update to the driver, but it is only for Toshia brands. As of now I do not know of a solution to this problem from Sony.

My dell laptop will load the dell screen but then go black. It had windows 7 on it. So I went under and selected diagnostic test under adipto? In which I am use to seeing a Bios screen labled Bios. The diagnostic ran but and passed everything except my hard drive. It recognizes and list on the Blue screen HDD Fixed and list a number. BUT under my diagnostic ut list the following code. 2000-0151 Vadlidation 62721 Msg : Hard Drive 0- #########, incorrect status =3E.
Do I need a new hard drive or does this mean I have bad sectors?

I can't see (through Linux Live DVDs or Win 7 Installation DVD) the Document Folder. There's is a User Folder and a UserName Folder but no Document Folder. There's a Desktop Folder but the files that used to be there are no longer there. I'm not sure if I really lost them or they're hidden by the system. I thought of removing the Hard Drive and connecting it to another PC to see if the Documents are still there but for this Inspiron, you need an Engineering Degree to remove the HD.

Last night I did a factory reset of my system and when I set my machine back up and logged into it, it says that the hdd now has a max cap of 104gb, when the true cap is 1tb.
