HP 15-D103TX Display :: Windows Does Not Detect Dedicated Graphic Card
Jun 20, 2014
I recently purchased a HP 15-D103TX laptop, which originally ran Free DOS on it. I have successfully updated my OS to Windows 8, and have installed all the drivers from the HP website. The laptop has dedicated 2GB Nvidia Geforce 820M graphic card.
Â
But when I checked, I found that Windows is showing the Dedicated Graphics Memory as 0MB.
Â
As you can see in the screenshot, it shows Dedicated Graphics Memory as 0MB.
My DV4-1465dx has a blank screen. The LED error code is blinking 4 times meaning graphic controller not functional. Â Does my laptop have an Intel integrated graphic card? Can I just remove the Graphic card and the problem solved? If not, can I replace it? Which graphic card should I buy?
Product name: HP Pavilion 15 e-017tx  My graphic card is not working with any games. I have already updated graphic driver and also manually reinstalled it but still i am facing same problem. I am using windows 8.1 64 bit .....

i recently purchased the above notebook and tried to play some games but i am getting error that my graphic card drivers are either not installed properly or they are missing altogether, i had installed drivers from AMD's autodetect driver tool. Earlier i had installed AMD drivers from windows update but the problem still exists. In the game i am getting memory insufficient error, unable to change graphics and display settings. Game crashes giving me error message as to update my AMD graphic drivers. Â My notebook specs are-(dxdiag) System Model: HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC BIOS: F.42 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4010U CPU @ 1.70GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.7GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4026MB RAM Â Display Devices- Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Display Memory: 1792 MB Dedicated Memory: 0 MB Shared Memory: 1792 MB Â Render- Card name: Radeon (TM) HD 8670M Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. I tried setting the app to high performance too through 'Configue Switchable Graphics' option but no success. which drivers i need to install or what i need to do to work my AMD Radeon Card.
I am using Hp 15-d103tx  4th Gen i5 intel Notebook with Window 7 64 bit OS.   reagarding 3d video Controller Driver. I need that  driver . I tried to find out Hp offical site but not found.
i upgraded from Windows 7 Home premium to Windows 8 pro . Eversince, my AMD radeon HD 7400M series graphic card is not functioning. Further , bluetooth is also not functioning .

Is it possible to get a dedicated graphics card. I have seen similar z570 models with Nvidia GeForce GT 540M(2gb dedicated memory).
I had purchased a new Laptop ModelNo.HP 15-d002tx with NVIDIA GeForce 820M DDR3 1GB Dedicated Video Memory. Despite successful installation of all necessary drivers I still could not see the Dedicated Video Memory being displayed as 1GB.
The latest Graphics Drivers installed are Intel HD Graphics 4000 Version- 10.18.10.3621 and NVIDIA GeForce 820M Version-9.18.13.3788. My Operating Sytem is Windows 8.1.
So I have a HP pavilion dv6 laptop with an intergrated Intel HD 4000 Graphics card and I want to run Warframe wich requiers 256 MB of dedicated memory and I only have 64.Is there any way I can increase the Dedicated Graphics memory?
Many of the newer more demanding games require that a certain amount of RAM is virtually dedicated to your graphics card, and after hours of trying to figure out how to do that I came up empty. On most desktops and some laptops you can go into the BIOS and change it, but not on the HP Envy 17t (Tried updating BIOS). I'm really not sure how much of a difference it would make for gameplay, but considering how I have an extra 11 gb of RAM when I'm rarely using more than 4 gigs it'd be nice to be able to put some of it to use. There's also a few games I want to play that require a minimum amount to even be launched at all (COD: AW). Â OS: Windows 8.1 Current Dedicated Video Ram: 0 mb
I have a g6-2002au notebook, running Win7 home premium 64bit on dual core 64bit cpus, 2.7ghz clocks and an AMD Radeon 7520G gpu, that is mostly used to preview (for a class) movie projects created in a video editor. And for video project files - stored on a usb stick inserted into one of the usb ports - that have a playing time longer than approx 4 minutes, the play presentation runs for a while and then becomes stuttering - pauses the image for a while, altho the audio continues, then the video seems to catch up, and after a short period repeats this stop and go activity. Like the editor keeps running out of data faster than its work space is filled up.  I sourced equivalent (to the original brand and specs) RAM memory to increase the installed RAM to 8Gb without apparent impact on this. A change of memory stick type - usb2 to usb3 - worked a bit but the issue remains. And disciussions with others using notebooks - Toshiba's actually - did not have this problem.  The dedicated video memory in the machine is 512mb (windows display settings details), and this probably isn't enough for video editing. With 8Gb of RAM now available, there should be plenty to enable me to increase the amount dedicated for video editing. Changing that seems to be a bios function, but there isn't any apparent/accessible setting in the Insyde F.03 bios on the machine to enable me to do that.  So, the questions are, 1. Can I increase the dedicated video memory on this specific notebook? 2. if so, how?
I am using HP d103tx model running in windows7 Ultimate. But I am not able to use Bluetooth service at all.
When I am trying to send a file using bluetooth, no bluetooth is detected though I switched on my phone's Bluetooth. My phone is also not detecting my PC.
I own this laptop for 2 years and still never had my dedicated videocard working. It didn't even work when I bought it off the store o.O so basically i got quite sick of it and tried to get it all fixed up, so I went through everything I could think of, just everything that "Might" fix the problem.  I tried all of this in Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. I've set the videocard options in the bios to both fixed and dynamic. Neither works. All of the drivers have been installed, including the latest AMD Apu driver. (I tried the official one from amd.com and the one from the HP support centre) The graphics settings for both my Intel HD Graphics and my AMD Radeon HD gpu are set to maximum performance. Disabling the HD Graphics 3000 driver so it could only run on the AMD gpu didn't work either. (Actually, everything stopped working in an instance;p) Installing an older driver didn't work either. AC/DC has been plugged in the whole time (This should have effect when settings in bios are set on "Fixed". This was not the case)  I've tried a few more things but it's getting a little bit too long to read;p
I have Windows 7 (64-bit) ultimate edition. I have downloaded and installed WLAN drivers from HP site. But the adapter still fails to detect any avaialbe wifi connection. It still shows the red-cross on Networks icon in tray. My wifi is WPA2 Â While installing drivers, for WLAN, the installer closes itself in the mid of installation. I have already installedÂ
Intel chipset installation Utility and driver (2014-01-03 , Version9.4.0.1027, 5.48M) and Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Driver (2014-01-08 , Version2012.6.1218.2013, 32.02M) Download link: [URL] .....  The WLAN adapter is in working condition as I was able to connect wifi in Ubuntu linux...
I tried with older version, the driver gets installed but with connection, no luck....
I saw in some threats that said you can get Geforce 9800 into XPS 1730.
But when I got to Dell website, I couldn't see where Geforce 9800 was, but 8700. It is said that "The Dell MediaDirect feature is not compatible with the NVIDIA® SLI™ Dual GeForce® 9800M series video solutions .....
Is there any another graphic card which will fit and will work with e1505 laptop? I know about Ati X1300 and X1400 and I thinking about change to X1400 but maybe there is another, better card.
Does anyone heard a noice coming from the "circuit board" of graphic card when you are running a game or during the gpu test in 3dmark? The sound like "si si si si" is quite annoying.
I confirmed is not the problem of the fan of gpu and guess the noice is from the circuit board of gpu..
I'm getting a weird white vertical line , about 2 inches thick, all over my display, it doesn't matter if I'm browsing software, or just at boot screen, the line is there.
Weird thing is, it seems to randomly dissappear sometimes, but appears again when trying to shut down the lappy, is the first time this thing happen to my display and I shuted down my lappy, hoping its propably a heat problem.
I have a chance at a good deal on an XPS M1530. It has the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT card, but it also has only the 1440 x 900 display. My question:
Can I use this XPS with my HP 22" w2207 display at its 1680 x 1050 resolution
Is it possible to install extra RAM or replace a graphic card in an Acer Aspire 5920? I currently have 3 Gb RAM and my graphic card's ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470. My computer is running rather slow and it has problems running games, if there's any other way to improve this I'd be happy to hear it.
i bought a acer gemstone 5920G M laptop a couple of years ago and the graphic card has blown up had someone look at it and he told me to buy a new graphic card to replace the blown one.
The card i need is a Nvidia 8600M GS 512 meg version im finding it difficult to find this card does anyone know of any companies. i did manage to speak to one company and they said they were out of stock but they told me i could use an nvidia 8600M GT card instead.
i have acer 1810tz the problem is when im playing h.264 coded videos in fullscreen mode i have some strange line in the middle of the screen not always just sometimes specialy when there is movening in the video its like the video been divided into to pieces and then tried to put next to each other so it would be one picture,
in original size it works normal i tried all media players you can find and it still there i guess something is wrong with my graphic card
if i can add a Graphic card( probably an 8800) on my HP HDX 18t( model= X18-1175EE).I know that the general answer is no, however, lately i ve been hearing that you can actually add one if u have an expansion slot( i think mine is level 3).
I've recently accidentally dropped my n5110 ci5 laptop. It was a hard crash that the screen cracked. Later i had the screen replaced and checked that all hardware is working properly. Everything was fine except my laptop can no longer detect my NVIDIA Gt525m Graphic Card. I really need it for my advanced modeling and rendering purposes. What i know is that display is working and it's definitely using Intel HD Graphics 3000. I tried re-installing video drivers but the setup won't continue saying that it can't detect any compatible hardware.
I have up-to date Windows 7 x64 SP1 ENG version of windows. The problem poped up 2 or 3 revisions of Nvidia driver ago with original version of Photoshop CC 2014. As you can see updating program and video card drivers to date, do nothing. And yes, i tried to launch PS with mouse context menu and forcing to use Nvidia chip. In control panel of video card PS is assosiated with Nvidia card too.
