HP 15 OS/Software :: Disabling Trial Version Of Microsoft Office 2013
Jul 20, 2014
My system: Windows 8.1 64-bit/ Â Product name: HP 15 Notebook PC /Â Product number: F9H60UA#ABA
Â
My Question: Can I simply delete the MS Office 2013 from my list of software already installed? Â I can't afford to buy it right now and have installed MS Office 2007.
Â
My problem is that when I got to open a document that I've downloaded, I get the box asking me to buy, or try or enter my code for MS 2013. Â I don't know if I can just change how my system opens up attachments or not, but if I can just delete this program / I would rather do that since it is taking up space I could use for something else.Â
Can I recover MS Office Home & Student 2007 Trial Edition from the factory backup I did when I get the laptop, but without recovering anything else?
This is an Aspire 4530 running Vista.
The trial version expired and I wanted to uninstall it and install my own copy of Office 2003. But if course it would not uninstall - probably because I wasn't the real "Administrator" at the time. I followed the MS guide for forceably uninstalling and deleting the product, but that failed also.
The only recourse seems to be to re-install it from the 3 factory backup DVDs that I made when I got the laptop. But I have a feeling that all I can do is recover (overwrite) the C drive from the recovery DVDs - either all or nothing. Is that correct?
I switched from Office 2008 to Office 2004 because of visual basic. However, I am really annoyed with Office 2004. Unlike Windows counterpart or Office 2008, the toolbars are detached from the main window. I can't seem to figure out how to dock it either.
I just purchased a new HP ENVY M6 Notebook with windows 8. I have downloaded Microsoft office but I cannot find it to use it. Â It is not showing on the desktop. How do I find the icon and the programs that downloaded?
I got the XPS M1530, 2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 64 bit Vista & Blu-ray writeable. Also got Office, but the version is 2007.
Is that the latest available? Seems odd to buy a new high end computer & get old software.
Also, they have the hard drive partitioned into C: & D: The D: drive is called RECOVERY & uses ~8GB. I couldn't find where this is described anywhere. Sounds important.
my new Studio 1737 did not come with McAfee Security Center or Microsoft Office Home & Student pre loaded...
can I just pop them in my cd drive and install them? Should I do anything different first? Also noticed that my McAfee disck states..."This Cd only installs a trial version of your McAfee programs..
I currently am doing IT work for a remote co-worker and he said that his T430 only came with Lenovo Recovery discs and that he doesn't have any standalone Microsoft Office discs. Is there a download for the Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 version that he's using that I can download to his machine, so I don't have to use the recovery discs for a factory reset? Â I tried going to Microsoft's site to get the 2010 version, but when I entered his key, it said that there's no download available for the OEM version of Office 2010.
I bought a dell inspiron 3520 recently. It has windows 8 installed. When i try to activate Microsoft office, it asks me for product key. My laptop does not have a COA sticked to it and i did not get a MPI card with the package delivered where this info is available.
I'm curious if the programs are identical, or if there is still a difference between the products? Ideally I'd like to have Office running in OSX, however if I have to I will run it in a VM. Mind you I'd like to avoid the headache of opening a VM to check my mail...
While I was almost a 100% certain my next laptop would be the asus ul30jc, I just saw the folowing laptop in a local advertisement and I must say i'm tempted (being a student, I use almost all of my free money on vacation, food and alcohol so every saved € counts):
Compaq Mini 311c Intel Atam N270 (1.6ghz) 1 GB RAM 160 GB HDD Nvidia ION LE (shared memory) Wifi b/g Windows XP home (service pack3) Battery info unknown, though most sites say it has a 6 cell battery. 359€
So I have a few questions. First and most importent of all, I need to know how long the battery will last, if its +7 hours i'm content.
Second, I have no idea what kind of wifi I need, I use that white Belgacom Digital TV Router so perhaps my fellow Belgians can help me on this? When I use system information it says my wifi in my current laptop is A/G/N.
Third, will I be able to install the newest microsoft office programs (I have 2003, 2007 and will most likely buy 2010 aswell) on windows xp home?
Last but not least, will I see a big difference if I upgrade from 1gb of 2gb of ram? I noticed a big difference on my current laptop when I upgraded my ram, but since that hp compac has a very weak processor, it might be pointless since that cpu might bottleneck the effect?
Assume for a second that you need to frequently exchange documents with people using Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, and that you need to use an Office Suite that has a great UI, so that you can make great, professional looking Word documents in particular with ease.
Which office suite is the best, or if you selected "other", please say what office suite you are referring to.
I have ordered a Macbook Pro, but am totally stumped as to what I should do for an Office suite. If it helps, I can use Office 2007 like a pro and I love it!
I use Office:Mac 2008, and I'm not a fan. But it's better than OpenOffice/NeoOffice (imo), and while I like a lot about iWork, the occasional small incompatibility -- and the fact that saving as .docx as default is troublesome -- is irritating.
For those of you who have been Mac users since Office '08 was released, I'm just curious as to whether there's a reason to expect that we might see a public beta put out by Microsoft in the coming few months -- long before this Fall/Winter 2010 release or whenever it's supposed to be -- so we can get cracking on that.
I recently did a clean install of Windows 8.1 on my X230T, and also installed Office 2013.
I need to use the digitizer with OneNote 2013 heavily for taking lecture notes.  As I did when I was using Windows7, I set the side button on the digitizer to "eraser" and expect that it works properly.
Unfortunately, when I tried to press the button to switch the tip from the pen mode to the eraser mode, the behavior
of the digitizer becomes pretty strange.Â
(1) If I remain the tip close to the screen, it would not switch to the eraser mode
(2) if I move the tip a little higher and let the cursor disappear, then hold the button and move the tip back to the screen, I SOMETIMES get the eraser mode; but it doesn't switch back to the pen mode even if I release the button.
I need to again move the tip far away from the screen and release the button to get the pen mode back. Â I downloaded the up-to-date driver from Wacom but it doesn't work.
Also, I cannot find the driver for this functionality for Windows 8.1 on Lenovo website;the latest version of multitouch driver only supports Windows 7 and older versions of windows.
Does anyone know how to disable the infrared sensor on an XPS 1645?
I ask as I often use the laptop while also watching a media pc and the remote control operates both the laptop as well as the media pc and it's damned annoying.
All of the items referring to the infrared receiver in the device manager can't be disabled so other than sticking a piece of tape over the sensor does anyone have any ideas?
I want to disable bluetooth, like how I do it with my dell, in the dell, I just go into control panel => bluetooth devices => bluetooth settings,
and then on the first tab, there's an option to "show system tray icon" and "disable bluetooth adapter".. when the system tray icon is enabled, I can right click on the icon and select "disable bluetooth adapter
Trying to disable powermizer completely, but its just not working at all, I've tried it using the registry editing thread and using NV GPU Pro, neither have worked, regardless of what method I use, whenever I pull the plug out
I have a 6930G and I'm trying to figure out how to disable a hard drive in my BIOs. The instructions on the side say to press SHIFT+1 to disable or re-enable a device. But when I press it nothing happens.
I purchased an Acer Aspire 5740 laptop, which I quite like except for the awful beep it makes when the power cord is plugged in or removed from the laptop. Is there any way to disable this beeping sound?
I want to upgrade my TM to 802.11g using a pcmcia card (D-Link DWL-G650) but there appears to be a conflict. So I want to disable the onboard centrino WiFi.
updating my radeon 7670m with latest amd driver ,removes  amd catalyst driver(previously installed) and also intel HD driver, thus disabling the graphics hardware in my Hp pav g6 2006tx.this problem is occuring since when my OS was reinstalled my HP service(They said that i had issues with my previous OS win 7 ultimate) , prior to this  installation i had never encounterd such upadting problems .Games lag when i play with my default driver as it does not support many of the new ones !.CURRENT OS : WIN 7 ultimate with sp 1
When I fold the screen back and use the laptop in "tablet mode", the keyboard automatically get disabled but the touchpad does not. I have tried looking in the mouse and touchpad settings to no avail and it is very frustrating!
how the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is covering all my needs perfectly for the moment, I would prefer to disable the NVIDIAÂ dedicated GPU in my Lenovo Z400 for a while.I've already went to the control panel and set the Global Settings for integrated but it still turns on (for a very small amount of time) every now and then. Â From my research I would guess I would do it by: (Windows 8)Disabling the "NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M" driver in the Device ManagerSwitching from "Switchable Graphics" to "UMA Graphics" in the UEFI settingsI would like to know/confirm if:"UMA Graphics" means the Intel HD Graphics 4000 in my caseThe NVIDIA GPU will not actually turn on and generate heat/consume energy. Â Laptop: ideapad Z400 OS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit) CPU: Intel i7-3520m (w/ Intel HD 4000) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 635m RAM: 8GB @ 800 MhzÂ
Hate Vista? If your PC is running Microsoft Windows Vista Business or Windows Ultimate and you're fed up with the OS you may be able to ditch Vista for XP Pro. Microsoft is quietly allowing you to downgrade to Windows XP Pro.
Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and Lenovo are just a few of the system manufacturers offering downgrades. Each of these PC makers offer an XP Pro recovery disc to those who request one that can be used to revert a Vista machine to XP Pro.
Dell, HP, and Lenovo customers can request a Windows XP Pro recovery disc to be included with their purchase of a Vista machine - should they want to revert in the future. Customers who already have purchased a Vista-PC can request an XP Pro recovery CD for between $15 to $20 by calling technical support.
I am trying to set up this system. Which drivers shall I use? Anybody tried Microsoft server 2008 in their sony vaio AW? Is there some obsticle so it will not work?
