I have updated my bios to R4041M3, performed a clean install of Windows 7, and installed all the new win 7 drivers including the video driver from this page:

When I insert my SD card into my laptop. It does not show anything in my removal drive area. I have used more than one SD card with same result.

I get the same error on my lenovo y5070 when i try to install the wireless driver from setup,exe.My OS is windows 8.1 x64 and i tried to install the driver from the CD provided, but i got the same error when i try to install it from the support page from here. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to install the ELAN/Synaptics driver that I download from my laptop's support page I get an error saying: no Appropriate Driver to be installed.I'm on Windows 7 64bit...I've tried tons of drivers and I'm starting to get seriously annoyed. Non of them work all of them throw error messages and I'm getting more and more irritated with the obnoxious tap to click functionality. I don't even need the driver as I need the annoying tap to click disabled and maybe some kind of scrolling functionality would be nice if it's possible.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs I had been having a couple of minor problems with a temporary dim screen on startup and occasional screen flicker, I decided to upgrade the NVIDIA display driver on my 5920G.
Unfortunately I rather carelessly installed driver update 180.48 for a 8800 GS rather than the correct 178.24 for the 8600GT on my laptop.
It installed fully and the display still seems to be working OK (but screen flicker still there)
I am wondering whether or not it is OK to leave the 180.48 driver as it is or whether I should roll the driver upgrade back and then install 178.24.
To be honest I find installing drivers quite complicated and difficult so I would prefer to take no action unless the expert advice from members of this forum says it will cause me future problems.

Everything appears to be working fine in my win 7 installation with the exception of the video. If I install any video driver then the LCD display dim's down to <50% of its normal brightness compared to just vanilla VGA drivers. External monitor works fine.
I initially went with the official NVIDIA 186.03 driver, and this exhibited the dimming effect. I have since tried all manner of other video driver versions including laptop2go, etc and none of them work. Even had my first win7 BSOD when I installed Dell's latest Vista x64 driver .....
I have the 9600m GT out of a 8930g installed in my Aspire 5720 laptop but every nvidia driver that I try to install says that the hardware is not compatible with the driver or some crap.
Am I out of luck with this card or is there a way to force install a driver...or is there a better driver to install?
I've tried the latest 197.16, 186.03 drivers from nvidia. Even from laptopvideo2go...no dice.
I recently re installed my Dell Precision M4800 laptop. In the device manager there is a driver not installed " Broadcom USH" I already searched for it, and there is one : Dell ControlPoint Security Device Driver Pack, but this device is not (yet) supported. Is there a way to fix this? I did not get any recovery cd with my pc, only a few drivers, not this one.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy new W540 (11/10/2014) Lenovo Solution Center under the Check-up tab alerts me that the FaceTime HD Camera (Display) Driver is Not Installed. Such as it is, the camera, a 720P HD, works just fine. A search of resources does not uncover any comment or Driver on this issue. So, since there is no problem as near as I can determine, should I just ignore the lack of Driver issue, and if so, what is the procedure to stop the Solution Center from alerting me to this error? But if on the other hand I should install the Driver, where is that to be found?

I'm using the W540 in the Ultra Dock with video on a second monitor, an Apple monitor, using a Thunderbolt cable. There is no Thunderbolt port in the Dock, so I use the W540 port which surprised me that it works.
FWIW, it is taking me a lot of time learning the location of programs and utilities having moved from my old W510 Win 7(64) setup to the W540 Win(64) 8.1 setup.

I decided to put in a new HD (same as the original, only larger) double-booting XPx86 and Win7x64. So I installed XP on one partition of the new HD and Win7x64 from the CD that shipped with the M4400. Big problem...
Neither XPx86 nor the re-installed Win7x64 are able to deliver anything but crackles and pops and noise only slightly resembling music. Forget about recording...
