View 1 RepliesI ordered Dell Inspiron 15 3521 (with Intel Celeron 1007U) online when the website said this has optical touchscreen capabilities. But when I got it (2 days ago), the touchscreen is not working and I don't think it was installed on the laptop. Will Dell exchange the laptop for the tochscreen free of charge?

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust bought the 3521 Inspiron touch screen. Two questions:Does the touch screen require a screen protector? Many different answers. Would like your opinion! The outside cover shows fingerprints (even with clean hands). Can the outside cover be replaced to a different color or type (that doesn't show fingerprints)?

Whenever I try to turn on my laptop, it shows me dell logo and then it goes black... booting process is still on..and if you see screen in bright light you can see the process..
Now initially i thought that i need to replace my screen but it is showing dell logo so i am pretty sure that screen works fine, now my laptop does have the problem of overheating. is that is a problem????
and my laptop screen attachment to main body is not perfect too.
I am using dell inspiron 3521 windows 8 preloaded. Whenever i start my laptop. It stuck on dell logo with full blue bar. And after few minutes, a blue screen shows that some files are missing. Error code: 0xc0000185.
When i diagnosed..its showing error code 0142. Hard drive error. And when i force it to boot. It shows in black screen with white letters "no bootable device found, press any key". And when i press any key.. Its repeating the same error... Now i dont know what is happening.. Warranty over..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought this Dell Inspiron 15 3521 Model I15RV-1428BLK it says it's a touch screen laptop on the specifications but the touch screen doesn't seem to work at all not even once since I started running the laptop for the first time. The one I tested at the store worked fine.
Looked up for drivers with my service tag, but couldn't find nothing that fixed the problem.
My touch screen stop working without any reasons that can make the touch screen out of order it's happen suddenly , but before it was working perfectly. Its Windows 8.1 bug or my hardware problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy touch screen has recently stopped working for an unknown reason. I looked under "Devices' in 'Device Manager' using the side 'Search' tool and I actually can't find the touch screen program anywhere. I ran a Diagnostics Test for it and it said that the device could not even be found.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time when the laptop goes to sleep mode by itself and I turn it on again, the touch screen will be partly unresponsive, to be more specific, it is the upper part of the screen. The problem is only at the screen, mouse and touchpad are working fine. Now I can solve the problem by pressing power button to let it sleep and press again to turn it on, but I don't want to do this everyday.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI lost wi-fi internet on my Inspiron 1545, running Vista (6 or so years old). The network adapter was showing up as not installed or not working. I tried returning to earlier restore point. No good. System restore no good. Finally I reinstalled the Vista OS from disk that came with the laptop. But still no network adapter showing in Device Manager. When I insert Resource CD, the WLAN mini-cards are showing up as installed on the system, but no sign of them listed in Device Manager.
So my question is: how do I install the network adapter, or get the system to recognize it if it's there? There is nothing on the resource CD called "network adapter" to install, and I don't see anything like that to download here on the Dell site. Any thoughts?
Oh, I ran the system diagnostics on the Resource CD. In addition to the battery needing replacing (which I already knew) I got the following:
Error code 4400:011A
Msg: SCSI-0-000_DISK_GENERIC_MULTI-CARD-Target not ready
I have dell inspiron 3521 with windows 7 64 bit installed on it . I don't know from where i can download the wireless card driver. I tried to download the driver from dell website but it did not installed the wireless driver. I am unable to download my wireless driver for my dell 3521.

View 15 Replies View Relatedi purchased a dell Inspiron 3521 in July 2013 and i encountered this problem When i push the power button, the only thing i get is the power LED which is illuminated without blinking.... I waited for a while but it changes nothing the only way i can switch the power LED off is by removing the battery.... Holding the power button for a few seconds doesn't switch it off... Also when i plug the power adapter without battery, i can see the power adapter LED also lighting....No fan spins, no HDD light. Tried with Other new universal adapter and new battery. Not working.
Removed Battery and pressed power button for 30 seconds and tried removing static power if any.Nothing happens. Only power light is on No fan spins, no HDD light.
So dats everything about my laptop as per now...
I recently purchased a stock-standard Inspiron 3521 Touch running windows 8.
The touchscreen worked for the first few days but has subsequently stopped working which I suspect is due to windows/other software updates.
The system is not showing/recognising any Tablet and Pen hardware/drivers.
My touchpad works fine when on battery power but when charged it goes crazy I have an Inspiron 15 3521. I don't have warranty anymore...

I bought A new Dell Inspiron 3521 Laptop and after installing windows 8 I was about to download the drivers from dell site any way I found that all drivers links are not working and it'd always popup a message saying :
The requested file could not be downloaded. Invalid File I.D. The file does not exist.
I tried to change my country but the same results coming out...
My laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 3521 model) was working fine until this week. It suddenly slowed down.
Once I turn it on, it works fine but after 30 mins - 1hr, it begins to slow down. While I type words on my keyboard, it would take a minute or so for them to appear on screen in MS Word. My browser would also slow down in loading. When I try to close programs, they would go "NOT RESPONDING" and when I try to open programs, it would take minutes for them to open up. I also tried plugging in a flash drive and the laptop took 3 minutes to recognize it.
What caused this sudden slow down? Is it because of an update? Or does my computer need repair? I've only used it for 7 months.
I was busy replacing my laptop screen on my inspiron (second time in 4 months!) and this time the screen doesn't turn on turn on when I start it. I can hear the OS running in the background and it make all the boot sounds.

Today 34 day after receiving the payed ultrabook no answer has been provided, the only solution is to receive a new XPS12 but DELL need anoter 50 day to try to send me another PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if mt drivers are old, but my touch screen works sometimes then completely stops working and when I try to calibrate it, it tells me that there's no N-Trig duosense hardware on my computer. It says I DO have the hardware when it's in a 'working stage' though. Every time I try to download a driver, it says 'fatal error.'

My Device Manager shows that the I2C HID Device is not working (With a status of: This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
I'm not sure why as nothing changed... that I know of.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, I have made sure all drivers are up dated (as on dell.com), and eventually I even formatted the HDD thinking some update must have caused this.
Unfortunately I have had no luck.
Just to add, Dell replaced my screen (due to ghost images) about a month ago - I'm thinking this could be the cause.
I have a XPS 15 L502x.... and sometime in the past week, my touch screen has stopped responding completely. I've tried everything i can think of... all the settings i can find relating to touch input appear to be correct, etc, but no luck. I'm usually decently ok at fixing the problems my computer has on my own through a little internet research, but either no one's had this problem and posted about it or its buried many pages down in google.
I dont have time to go through the phone tech support hassle for another few days and i miss being able to use the touch screen function. Not that it was ever super-functional to begin with, but it was nice for scrolling and such ....
