i have brought this HP 15-r007tx Notebook PC & installed windows 8.1. i got all the drivers for it except webcam driver.i installed cyberlink youcam driver it shows "no webcam detected".
imaging device is not listed in device manager,i think there is a software or driver for hp truevision hd webcam as i have seen in another same laptop since its not installed in my laptop maybe webcam is not detected.

View 5 Replies View RelatedA few days before I was going to shipping my Studio 15 off. I looked in the box and low and behold I found the Dell Webcam Center disk that I originally thought that Dell had forgotten to include.
Upon installation I found that the specific version of Dell WC that came with my Studio 15 is not the same one that you find at the downloads center on support.dell.com.
I could never get the downloaded Dell WC to work, even after numerous chats with technical support. No matter how many times I contacted Dell about this, they claimed there is only one version of Dell Webcam Center. Clearly that isn't true .....
My pc doesn't detect the built-in webcam. No hardware damage.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust purchased my new Pavilion dv7, and when I run the You Cam software, it tells me my HP TrueVision HD webcam is not detected. I have tried at this for several days now, at one point when I was trying to fiddle with the You Cam settings, the webcam light turned on for aprox. 2 seconds and then went dead again, since then it won't even let me into the YouCam settings.
Right now I'm becoming more and more convinced that this is due to my laptop being assembled outside the US. Need a fix for this immediately.
I have a dv6-7010us hp laptop and every time I try to use the webcam it says that no device is detected and I need to turn it on. I am pretty sure I have the latest software for youcam. I can not find the webcam anywhere in my programs or devices. I need turning it on and finding it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have not used my webcam for a while, but recently updated Skype. When I went to use the web cam it was not detected. When I try Cyberlink Ucam it says no webcam detected. I checked the driver in Device Manager and it is ok. I used HP Recovery Manager and reinstalled the Cyberlink software but it is still undetected. Is there some keyboard switch for the camera or something simple that I am missing??

I tried on Following versions:
1) Ubuntu 14.04
2)Ubuntu 14.10

4)Deepin Os 2014.2
... even updated each time I installed.
Other references I tried
1) Some ask to use something called "synaptiks" but it prompted no touch device found.
2) Reset Bios , by removing battery and then press and hold power button for 10 sec
This is problem with HP persist with many HP laptops. My Bios Version is Insyde F.09.
I dont understand at what level should I try to rectify as everything starts from Bios...
i have a compaq presario CQ42 . today i has disassembling my laptop and applying thermal paste on cpu and gpu . so , the problem is when i play games about 5min or 10min my laptop suddenly go on sleep and shutdown itself then i try to restart it and after that i get this message"The system bios has detected your notebook PC was placed in hibernation to avoid overheating .The system is now operating normally and your data should remain intact. Overheating may occur if the cooling vents are blocked or the operating temperature exceed the specification. The notebook PC should return to normal operation once the situation is resolved.

This has been in there for at most a month now. The past two days I have had an interesting situation going on. The computer is running Vista Home Premium, and it's running on AC.
The battery seems to be working fine. It's detected fine, the PC runs off of the battery, and it charges as well. It's not set to suspend, hibernate, or anything like that at any time; these features are all deactivated because I am never in a situation to use them .....
Dell 1537. Vista 64 bit- all MS updates. Device Manager is perfect.
When I insert a 4 GB SD Card - nothing. (It's always been this way)
Everything else on the laptop works very well.
I am above average geeky - but all drivers appear correct
My Dell is a couple of months out of warranty. Suddenly my laptop stopped booting up and Dell diagnostics tell me "error code 2000-0141 - drive not detected". I purchased a new drive from Dell and nothing changed so I returned the drive. I bought a new motherboard (using my original processor and memory) and nothing changed. From other forums I saw a suggestion that I experiment with the boot sequence which I did which let the laptop start up normally a couple of times and then back to the same error. Since replacement of the hard drive and motherboard leaves little else to replace (other than the processor and memory) I am at a loss what else to try.

I don't think I can see the hard drive in the bios either, but I don't know the bios a lot, maybe I'm not looking at the correct place.
My bios has "IRRT" for the "Sata Operation" section, I run Windows XP that has been installed with the sata drivers slipped on the installation disk.
i decided this was a good place to ask since the cd came with my system. like titles says i open program says no drive detected. well i know the drive is there. i have put a blank dvd there and started writing with dvd + rw dvds. well it doesnt let me erase with out roxio. so how do i fix the roxio problem. i heard of the PX engine i downloaded it and i got a message that said
"unable to write the current directory, this installation file needs to be able to read/write the current directory,. please change the premissions for the directory to move the installer to a location that has the proper read/write permissions"

My HDD model is Seagate ST9250421ASG and when i attempt to check it with seatool it says no controller was found.
I preform Dell Diagnostic and no problem were found.
I don't have specific problem with my drive performance; but why SeaTool and firmware update utility don't detect my HDD?
My laptop doesn't detect my ethernet card, so when I plug a cable in, only the yellow light at the top left of the port flashes, whereas the green light at the top right of the port does not light up. I get no signal at all. In Network Connections it shows that I only have a Wireless Connection and not LAN. Device Manager shows 3 Unknown Devices, however when I downloaded my Atheros driver from Acer's website the driver said that my hardware could not be found.

But, for the last 2/3 months, I was facing a problem that dvd writer was sometimes detected in BIOS & sometimes not.
And finally, from the last week, the BIOS is not at all detecting the "MATSUSHITA DVD WRITER"
Its quite strange, as the orange led on dvd writer blinks like before & it write pops out when I press eject button too.
Have you guys also faced similar problem with this matsushita dvd writer?
Maybe some BIOS update is needed.
We have a Pavilion g6-2334sa notebook pc, 9 mos old. Never tried to use DVD before. When inserted, DVD turns but doesn't automatically run. When searched for in myPC, it shows in the available drives, with the DVD highlighted. Tying Open, it goes as far as showing Audio_TS and Video_TS. Clicking on Video_TS shows files currently on the disk, in this case 69. If I click on any of these, it takes me to Video tools rather than running the file. So, unable to get beyond this stage to actually get the DVD to play. CD's work fine by the way.
