Jun 27, 2014I tried to remind myself the password I used for my BIOS admin and I can't remember at all. I tried a couple times by guessing and I can't get any success. Here is what the System tells me: "System Disabled [76222413]" How to reset the BIOS. I also tried to reset it manually by removing the CMOS battery but I couldn't locate it; I couldn't get to the motherboard, I'm required to take off the entire back cover which is complicated. I don't want to try that again.
My computer is (HP Pavilion G4 Notebook, Product number D4X79PC#ACJ,Product series name 1304AU .

Dec 25, 2009I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 through a clean install. Now I must have enable something I didn't want to because now it asks to put a password in before it boots. I know the password, that's not the problem.
The problem is I'd rather not have it ask me, and there's always a danger of it locking up on me if it gets input incorrectly.
So my question is, how do I turn it off? I did a clean install so I don't have most of the crap Acer throw in, including eManagement Settings, which I heard may have the solution to my problem. I only have the Acer Bio Protection, the fingerprint reader, and I tried turning it off there, but to no avail.

Dec 15, 2009I got a hold of a Compaq Evo n620c in which the BIOS was password protected. I took out the CMOS battery and had it out over 24 hours in the hopes of reseting the BIOS. No luck. I was able to put in another HDD that had Windows XP installed, tne tried to flash the BIOS. I tried in the HP drivers site and was unable to flash the BIOS. The error read that the BIOS on this machine is password protected. Question is...How can I flash the BIOS or otherwise get rid of the password prompt at BIOS? Is there a generic password to do this or is there another way?
