Sep 27, 2014i have HP Pavilion 15-n043ee , after i formatted the laptop i can't install the network driver again.
it is windows 7 - 64 bit , contains ralink radio model RT 3290 .

Oct 21, 2014The display of my hp pavilion 15 N 043ee laptop is extremely dim. I'm unable to see anything on the screen unless I shine a flashlight onto it, and even then I can barely see. When I connect it to an external monitor it works fine. I restarted it and hit f8 to access the bios screen and it's also dim there as well. My laptop is only a few months old ....

Oct 10, 2014I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6187cl Notebook and my Network Controller has seemed to quit working. I have tried numerous solutions and none of them have worked. I recently did a factory image restore on my PC, but before I did the most recent restore, I did the same thing and tried to update the driver and it worked like a charm. This time, its not so easy.

Sep 12, 2014I can't seem to get the ethernet port working on a dv6700 I'm refurbishing. I've installed the drivers from the HP support website, as well as installing the chipset drivers. The device status gives me an error code 39 and says that the driver is either missing or corrupted. The thing is, I can't uninstall the driver or even disable it. I haven't tried booting into linux to see if it works in there though...

Jul 28, 2014i have tried to installed the apps but i cant. the hp support assistant warned me that an important action was needed and on opening to check on the action, i found out that the synaptics touchpad and the realtek local area network had failed to install. both were on the failed items sections and i then redownloaded them through the same hp support assistant. the process went on smoothly and then stopped on the installation section. both the apps are now displayed in the conpleted actions and failed actions boxes. how can i successfully install these programmes?

Jul 21, 2009I upgraded an old Compaq (1200Xl500) from WIN ME to XP not realizing this was a bad choice. Everything went okay except I lost my network adapter and PCMCIA which worked fine before the upgrade. No help from HP support and no drivers to download there either. I need a Texas Instruments PCI 1410 card bus controller. When I do a search I find links but nothing that works. Some links just refer me to Windows update? and there is nothing there either.

I have debugged these crashes and I saw that the problem is with network drivers. So i tried updating them and uninstalling them, but it doesn't solve anything.

Jun 3, 2013When installing drivers previously after they had been extracted usually something would happen but when I installed the network driver nothing had happened. I've done things such as clicking the driver I downloaded and watch it extract again, restarted my notebook, deleting the drivier files and reinstalling but I still get the same outcome. Is there anything that can be done?

3) I have followed the proper sequence for driver installation
4) I tried drivers using my Service Tag and not using service tag (it installed Ethernet but not the Network Controller)
5) i don't see any manufacturer info or model information in the sysinfo or Control Panel properties

Dell :: Uninstall Current Driver Before Installing New One?
Jan 16, 2009I've found out there's newer drivers for my Studio laptop for webcam, wireless, etc.
I updated the BIOS and it went fine. My question is do I have to uninstall current driver before installing new one? On Dell web site, they only give general instructions and don't mention this.
If I install new driver over the old one, will I have 2 versions and can go back (in device manager) if the new driver doesn't work as well

May 3, 2009I have 3 old games that run super fast in XP, and I've read that a common fix seems to be running in Uniprocessor mode. XP only installs the ACPI Multiprocessor driver, and I can't change it. I can only select ACPI Multiprocessor, or Standard PC, and when I changed it to Standard PC I lost my keyboard and mouse (and subsequently had to reinstall XP).
Is there any way to either tell Bootcamp to disable one core, or to install XP with the Uniprocessor driver?
I'm running the early 2009 white macbook, and XP Home SP3.
