HP Pavilion 15 N278tx OS/Software :: Download Pre-installed Ubuntu?
Apr 21, 2014
I bought a hp pavilion 15 n278tx and mistakenly overide the ubuntu partition with windows 8. This link says that pre -intalled ubuntu pack is a special pack. And I want to download that pack and install back. It also mentions this ubuntu pack supports all the drivers including nvidia geforce.
Is it possible to install an ubuntu pack which can be find here (ubuntu official site) and install the drivers

I have problems with your fresh pavilion 17: after a short time good communications my Wifi interrupts - and stops all communications. The problem is to fix by restarting the computer.
HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC 15-n004TX. It came with ubuntu. 1 GB Radeon grphics card. I reinstalled ubuntu 14.04 formatted disk completely.
After installation, when rebooted, it gives error: "The system is running in low graphics mode. Your screen, graphics card and input device settings could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself."
And then runs in character user interface, and does not detect usb, so i can't install drivers.
I have tried installing ubuntu 12.04 also. I have tried installing in legacy mode. I have tried OEM Manufacturer mode.
In all the cases same thing happens. I want to use my computer.
I have a dv6 7010 US I used to have Windows 7 with x64. I tried to install a dual-boot Ubuntu, but if it worked i wouldn't be writing this.
I tried to install Ubuntu with a live CD. I was in Ubuntu I thought it was finished installing and I rebooted the computer. When it came back on it said 'Missing Operating System.' The live CD wasn't in when it did that, then I put it back in and restarted and it went back to Ubuntu and offered to install it again. I didn't install it and i just restarted again (mistake). Again it came up with 'Missing Operating System'.
I restarted again but hit the Escape button and went to the start menu. I navigated around, trying to do a recovery boot and trying to do a system restore, but none of them worked. Now when i put the Ubuntu CD in i don't get Ubuntu, but the same Missing Operating System screen I have tried to get a download of Windows 7 and reinstall it on another disc but I didn't do it right and don't want to risk it again. I can get into a Command Window and can do stuff with that, but what to do at this point.
I have HP n278tx laptop and recently I installed Windows 8.1 OS and now I can't Hibernate and Sleep my lap.When I do that it get stuck.And also I can't install chipset drivers provided by HP for Win 8.1 Pro. I can't install these 2 drivers.
I have an HP Pavillion HPE h8z. When I received it a free Internet Download Manager was installed. There was a 30 day free trial period. Some time after the free trial period expired I deleted the program. The program is no longer listed in the programs on the computer. My problem is that a message started to appear on screen stating that the free period was over and to either purchase or delete the program. Anytime I attempt to download a PDF file the message reappears and will not allow me to continue with the download. I have tied everything that I know to do to eliminate this "bug" with no luck.
I've got an HP Pavilion g6-2260sh notebook with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. My problem is that the internet download speed had fallen from 80 Mbits to 3-4 Mbits. The upload speed stayed the same as before, 25 Mbits. My notebook is connected to a router with another notebook and a PC. Those 2 computers have excellent internet speeds. I've reinstalled the operating system, but the issue still persists. After the reinstallation, the speed was fine for maybe an hour and then it dropped to 3-4. I only installed drivers from the hp driver finder, nothing else. I've tried the connection with cable and wi-fi with the same results. The device manager shows 1 Unknown device and 1 missing driver for Ralink_RT3290_Bluetooth_01
Is there a way for me to download a driver or software to my Pavilion DV6-2066DX so that I can pair Bluetooth devices?I do not see in my device list that I have bluetooth.

I decided to put in a new HD (same as the original, only larger) double-booting XPx86 and Win7x64. So I installed XP on one partition of the new HD and Win7x64 from the CD that shipped with the M4400. Big problem...
Neither XPx86 nor the re-installed Win7x64 are able to deliver anything but crackles and pops and noise only slightly resembling music. Forget about recording...
