I have both Intel and ATI switchable graphics in my laptop. I recently reinstalled Windows & If I try to install the ATI drivers from the drivers CD or from the HP website, the laptop hangs on the Windows logo after a restart and I have to do a system restore to fix it. If I try to install just the Intel driver it just gives me an error that says "This computer does not meet the minimum requirement to install the software". I am unable to change the brightness and the resolution is bad. In Device manager both the options under display adapter say "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter", with a yellow error sign over one of them. I am worried if the graphics card is damaged from over heating. Is it possible to disable one of the cards to check functionality of the other?
i installed windows 7 ultimate 64-bit on my HP Pavilion G6-2005ax after formatting. I downloaded and installed all of my drivers from here . But 'Ralink 2011 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter ' and 'Ralink 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter Driver ' fails to install. There is yellow symbol on 'Network controllers' in Device manager. I could successfully install the Bluetooth driver but i cant search any device, neither it gets discovered.

I searched this site and downloaded the appropriate driver for my notebook. But when i tried to install, i receive an error message that my notebook is not supported. I rechecked and im sure that i downloaded the correct driver listed for my notebook model. My Graphic card is Intel HD Graphics 4000.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having issues with the Intel HD4000 drivers (right-click issue and VGA out not working properly). I tried to install the latest drivers downloaded from Lenovo's site - two attempts unsuccessfully. It would seem to be installing, but ended up taking quite a while to finally timeout in error. Just stated and error occurred and it could not install.
So, I decided to uninstall the drivers in the Windows 7 device manager. This left me with Standard VGA drivers under displays. Tried to install the Lenovo drivers again - no dice. It seems to attempt to for a while, then would just time out and stated there was an error (same as before).
So, I'm stuck at the Standard VGA drivers and seemingly no good way to get the proper drivers re-installed. I've even gone through the Lenovo System Update software and tried there - did not work and timed out there as well.
I know a system restore would remedy it, but I've got business software and things I'd have to reinstall and would prefer not to if I did not have to.
Seems I should be able to install some kind of drivers here, but no dice.
When I am trying to install driver installation, it says unable to install
Is it configure bluetooth or not? Is bluetooth supported model or not?

I have recently purchased HP 15-d009TU Notebook PC. It came with DOS installed. I have installed Windows 7 64 bit OS. I have downloaded the drivers listed in Drivers & Download section in HP.com but most of these drivers (Intel chipset driver, Graphics driver, Audio driver, etc.) do not work. While trying to install, most of them says that it does not meet minimum system requirements although all the system requirements mentioned in the requirements list are present.
Now, I am unable to use even the USB ports in my laptop.
I'm not able to install the latest graphics driver from nvidia. It installs the latest GeForce Experience software but that says the 332.50 driver is up to date. The 337.88 driver is WHQL certified and lists compatibility with the 860m but when trying to install it, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." On nvidia's website, it says "Your product manufacturer requires you to download a driver for your device from their website" but it's 332.50 is pretty outdated at this point. Any way I can get the updated drivers installed?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a hp pavilion 15 n278tx and mistakenly overide the ubuntu partition with windows 8. This link says that pre -intalled ubuntu pack is a special pack. And I want to download that pack and install back. It also mentions this ubuntu pack supports all the drivers including nvidia geforce.
Is it possible to install an ubuntu pack which can be find here (ubuntu official site) and install the drivers
I don't have the ssd msata option in the laptop I just purchased from Newegg so I decided to buy a samsung 840 250g ssd and do a clean install of win 7.Updated ssd to latest firmware, disabled secure boot in bios, sata was already set to ACHI, installed ssd and started loading win 7. It would get to the point that the tiles are floating around and it says "starting windows" and then locks up. Tried this several times and same thing.
Finally tried changing boot mode from eufi to legacy it works fine. I got win 7 installed. Now if I try to go back to eufi boot mode it just goes to a black screen (on start up) and displays detecting media (or something like that). So I guess my question is:
1. Why did I have to switch to legacy mode to begin with
2. Does leaving it in legacy boot mode affect performance?
One last thing, since installing win 7 I have been unable to install the nvidia drivers downloaded from dell for win 7. It either starts and immediately fails or it installs a little then I get a blue screen and the computer reboots.
I recently had to replace the hard drive on my Studio 1558 laptop and reinstalled the operating system using the disk that came with it. All went well until I had to reinstall the device drivers to get my device to access the internet via wifi. So far, I can't seem to get the driver for the device that allows my laptop to see any wireless connections and have to plug in a network cable to go on the internet. how I can get the right device drivers other than using the device driver disk?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had recently performed a clean install on my notebook PC and when I rebooted it, the drivers for the PCI device and the SM BUS Controller were missing. When I go to Device Manager and try to reinstall them or check for hardware changes, my computer is unable to install them. I was also missing my Ethernet and Wireless network drivers but I installed the appropriate drivers via the HP support website. However, I am still missing these two drivers. I have already tried to install the AMD chipset on my laptop but that just creates more problems because after the program asks me to reboot the computer it stays stuck at the Windows loading screen (rotating colours around the Windows logo).

I have a HP Pavilion G6-2252sa Notebook running Windows 8 and I have just installed 8.1. All is OK, except the equalizer function in Dolby Advanced Audio V2 is no longer working. You can still move the equalizer sliders but the actual sound quality remains the same. It just sounds flat as if all sliders are permanently set at zero.

I bought an HP Laptop 4 days ago, hp pavilion 15-p018sv, but it came with windows 8.
The problem I'm having is that almost all drivers fail to install with an error message such as:
"the computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"
The weird thing is that I'm downloading drivers through the official HP-Pavilion 15-p018sv Drivers Page for Windows x64, but they still won't install.

I uninstalled my Graphics in control panel/devise manager ... My genius friend told me it would reinstall automatically when I restart ... it did not.
I have had an aspire 5920g for about 18 months now and it was all working fine until I updated the graphic drivers, but the drivers stopped installing halfway through and now I can't install any graphic drivers.
I tried to install my original drivers and they won't install. The system keeps freezing and I think thats the problem.
I've tried making a recovery disc but erecovery won't recognize blank DVD's and acer 'support' are only too happy to grab you by your feet, turn you upside down and let all your money fall out so they can charge you for a reovery disc - absolutely ridiculous - instead of actually trying to help me.
And also for some reason a yellow triangle appeared next to the ACEYTS4Y IDE controller a week after I got it but up until now didn't seem to cause any problems.
