View 1 RepliesI am using an Hp 2000 Notebook PC, and the wireless adapter that came installed on the computer is a Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter. I have run the driver update tool, and it says that I have the most up to date driver installed. I have also run the "Diagnose Problem" tool, and it says that there are no problems. However, the computer constantly looses internet connection. I assume it has something to do with the wireless adapter, because all of the other wireless devices in the house have no issues. The operating System is Windows 7.

The problem Im having is that I will be connected to the internet browser and it will work for about 5 minutes and then I wont connect after that. I know its not the connection because everything else on this network works and even the email button on my laptop will still sync all my emails. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the browser. My wireless internet connection has been working fine until recently when the connection with my home's internet modem became intermittent . There will either be a computer icon with a red cross icon shown which states " Not connected. No connections are available" or the fully filled white bars with a yellow warning sign icon which indicates "Limited Internet Access", thus I could not connect to the Internet anymore.
I believe that the fault does not lie in the modem because the other devices in my home such as smartphones or other laptops were able to connect well with the modem when the problem which the laptop encounters has occured.
I have tried restarting the laptop repeatedly or even perform a System Restore until there is Internet Access ,however I can only have access to the internet for a short while (not more than an hour) before the above mentioned problem occurs again and the whole vicious cycle continues.
For now, the internet connection seems to be working fine again , however I do not know when the wireless connection will go haywire again.
I have a HP Pavilion g7 2210ed and until a few days ago my internet was working fine. Suddenly my internet stopped working. The laptop says i have a good signal, but i have no internet acces. I thougt it was the router, but i reset it and it didnt work. On other devices the internet does work, its only my laptop.

I've had an HP Laptop Pavilion g6 for around a year, operating on Windows 8.1
I'm repreatedly (and increasingly) losing wifi connection to router - all other devices using the same wifi connection (desktop pc, nexus phone, samsung phone) all retain connection and internet access but the Pavilion keeps dropping off.
I have a Pavilion G6 - 1261sa running on windows 7, 64-bit. I cannot switch on my wifi and change the orange light. ive searched solutions for this, and most seem to be solved by installing drivers for the wifi card. and most seem to be solved by going into Device Manager / network adapters... and so on. But as I get to this stage my laptops device manager does not recognise a wifi card as being there!? I can only connect using ethernet....
View 9 Replies View Relatedi own a Pavilion dv7-6c90el that i updated at windows 8 two weeks ago. Every week a problem occure: my pc can't connect to any wifi, and i can't disable the wifi card, it doesn't respond, so i have to switch off many times the pc until it begins to work again (after many times you can enter in connection menu and disable the card and then switch on it other time and then works). i suppose is a driver problem (with windows 7 this problem never appeared).

My HP Pavilion 14e016tx (win 7, 64-bit, ralink rt3290 802.11) just won't detect any WiFi connections. Sometimes it does detect but when I try to connect, it always show the failure message ("windows was unable to connect to xxxxx".

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with this notebook. I bought it just last month. After using it for a week, I noticed that it doesn't connect automatically to wifi, and sometimes you have to wait a little longer (probably an hour) for it to connect successfully to a wifi. And if ever it gets connected, the internet access says "limited". I brought it to a servcie center, they changed the wifi card, and then I guess after using it for more than a week, the same problem occured. This is a big inconvenience on my part.

My wifi disconnects many times a day. Every other day the wifi adapter cannot find any router signals at all. It's been happeneing since new. I gave up on HP support as they never fixed ths issue and now the warranty has run out. At any rate I can get along by turning Wifi off/on when it drops connection, and rebooting the laptop when the adapter fails completely. Many posts indicate that a new adapter fixes the issue, but HP won't approve one. Naturally I am not going to buy HP again.
install files .i had test many files ,it can not install.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.
My pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

When i turned on the wifi from 'HP Connection Manager', it said "Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN) is Disabled by Device Manager".
What should i do then?
