My Mat$hita UJ-832D DVD burner has given out, and I wanted to purchase a replacement, but am having a hard time finding one online for my Sony Vaio TX750p/b notebook. Does anyone out there know of a good source that carries a replacement burner (any brand) that will fit my notebook?
Trying to get rid of these questionably useful programs -- but I don't see entries for them in add/remove programs in the control panel (or for any of the other useless VAIO software packages that come on OEM machines sans "fresh start")
With my PC I can record streamed audio via Audacity. However I can only see the microphone as an input source for I/O inputs. I have looked at all settings and cannot find anything relevant. It seems you cannot also run the Realtek control panel presumably this is a Acer configuration.
i'm pretty close to buying the 17" mbp, but i was hoping to clear somethings up beforehand. now, i know nothing about computers, so don't ask me stuff that i wouldn't know. how would the mpb cope with running counterstrike source, for say a couple of hours everynight.? i play on low settings and @ 1024x768 res. - read a little bit about bootcamping but that means nothing to me. and about heating, i have read that the mbp overheats/gets hot quite easliy, so would it be worth getting a stand/cooling to help?
It worked yesterday but as of this morning no sound. The Realtek highDef sound device has the current driver and is identified as operational by the Win 8.1 device manager, but no sound comes out from any source. Rolling back the driver to an earlier version did result in a pulse of static during the changeover but still no output.
As side note the Devices and Printers button is no longer working in Classic Shell.
I can't find cards anywhere, used or new! My GTX in one 9400 bit the dust this morning and my GS bit the dust 2 weeks ago (I have a few 9400's). I need to get some replacement cards but can't find them anywhere and woul
It sounds like there are some dodgy sellers for the Dell power supplies, at least on ebay, based on some discussions. If anyone has purchased a 130W PS and feels like they could recommended the seller I'd appreciate the tip. If posting an ebay or retail link violates forum rules then just PM me.
I have this problem since last night and there had no problem from I bought my computer last year until last night.
I leave my pc there and I went out somewhere. When I get back, I saw my screen blank, and no responding at all. I force shutdown and restart again, the bios screen didn't show up.
But after a while I turn on my pc, I can see the bios screen again and log on to windows. After that I go to event viewer and check what is that error just now, and the error message is:
"The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer."
And then I didn't bother that and start to play game. But suddenly my screen went to look like low graphic, many pink pixed, and then went to blank screen. I force to turn off the pc and then turn on again.
I searched all over the internet and they asked to uninstall the driver and reinstall again. But still have this kind of problem, even I surfing internet the problem still occurs.
Grand Central Dispatch may not exactly be a household name to the average Apple user, but it's certainly a hot topic among developers, who may know it better as "libdispatch," and are no doubt thrilled that Apple has now made the whole thing open source. Among other things, that means developers are now able to take full advantage of multi-core processors in Snow Leopard, which obviously has some fairly big implications for applications as soon as those developers are able to get a handle on things. Know what you're doing? Just like to get in over your head? Then you can find the complete source code and other necessary information at the read link below.
I've noticed lately that my framerate will suddenly go from ~100 fps (I set max there) or so to 20fps.
It will do that for almost a minute, and then suddenly for no good reason shoot back up to 100. Also, there would be times when absolutely nothing is happening in games, and it happens.
I used to think the drop was heavy firefights or traditional graphic issues like smoke or textures, but when i turned everything to the lowest, I still observed the exact same trend!
Windows Defender reports nothing and Spybot Search and Destroy reports nothing. I went through NHC to make sure HD is set on max performance and also set Battery Usage on max performance. I *thought* that would help, but the same thing started happening again after a small period (8-10 minutes) of no slow down.
Current theories are: 1. The cpu is overheating so it underclocks for a minute or so. 2. There is some process that I can't find (I might have missed something obvious) that checks in every 4-5 minutes
i have an Acer Aspire 5520-5912 laptop. It has a AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Proccessor Running at 1.9 ghz. if Anyone Knows, please tell me, What is the PLL For this chipset? I want to overclock the proccesor to about 2.0 or even 2.1, no higher so i dont burn the chipset. Also if anyone else has any advice for Aspire 5520 Laptop's please tell me.
id like to know what do you think the estimated FPS for Counterstrike Source would be on this laptop.
I have just been given a VAIO PCG8A2M (GRX316MP) , i was told "it's broken but if you can fix it yo can have it" so having a quick look at it there's no sign of life on the display but the lights come on and i can here the HDD heads moving about.
Looking a little more i found that all the ram is missing , so now im not sure if its worth buying some ram to see if it works or not ? The lack of ram would prob explain the lack of display but i wonder if i should be getting POST beeps at least, which im not.
So my question is if a VAIO had no ram should (if all else was working) it be getting POST beeps ?
I don't know whats the diference (besides the price), between VAIO TZ295N & VAIO TZ395N. Specs in all the websites I've checked say they have exactly the same components: Intel coreduo 1.33Ghz 2GB RAM DVD-RW and 64GB SSD Hardrive. I was wonder if the diference might be in the hard drive interface, with the TZ295N being PATA and TZ395N being SATA.
I'm wondering if the Blu-ray optical drive (Panasonic UJ-232A) of the (old) VAIO Z series will be able to fit into the (new) VAIO Z series? I would really appreciate it if anyone is able to answer my question.
The reason I'm asking is because I'm seriously thinking of selling my VAIO Z690 & just buying the base Sony VAIO Z (VPCZ112GX/S). I may just be able to afford that base model & the icing on the cake will definitely be the UJ-232A drive being able to fit into the (new) VAIO Z series & work.
Am planning to get a sony laptop for me. The design simply rocks I am getting mixed reviews about cw and E series. But i made up my mind to get one.
My budget is aroung 40000rupees. Thats around 800$. So suggest me a better one between these two for occasional moderate and less(mosltly) demanding games. I dont care whether its 14 or 15 inch.
Am looking at lower end versions of both the models.
Only difference is CW uses Nvidia Geforce 310 and the E series uses some Radeon 5000 series one. CW has 14 inch screen whereas E series has a 15.5 inch screen. In the models which i am looking at both have matte finish and both has WXGA:1366 x 768 VAIO Display.
which one should i go for. whether the screen quality will be on par to Inspiron one atleast? ( I dont need HD).
if I can use the AC Adapter of a Vaio TT on the Vaio Z. The standard AC Adapter that comes with the Vaio Z is of 19.5V and the one for the Vaio TT is of 16V, which I don't know if it's enough for the Vaio Z to function properly or if there could be any problem or damage. Both machines have batteries of 10,8V.
I have an undervolted Vaio Z by the way (last multiplier at 0.9875) so I don't know if this could help in any way for my Z to work ok with the TT AC Adapter.
I have this "problem" since I got my Z. When I start vaio update 3 utility I get this error "messageID=0008" there are no updates for your model bla bla...
However when I go to vaio support page, there are some new updates for my Z590N model (new Bios, USB patch...)
I have downloaded new version of Viao Update utility 3.2.something but I had to uninstall my current version (3.1.something), which I did. However when I started this new setup message poped up "there is no previous version installed" - abort.
I have checked esupport page where is said if you have problems with Vaio Update 3, to download Sony Shared Library which suppose to contain vaio update utility), I run installation but it doesn't install Vaio Update 3
Now, I can live with this esupport page regular visit updates,
