I would like to listen 24bit music from my Vaio to the iBasso D10 portable amp which I'm going to purchase. This has a USB connection which only supports audio up to 16bit 44.1khz, but through the digital inputs (optical or coaxial) it supports 24bit input.
The Vaio FW11S only has an analogue headphone jack, and a HDMI output. Is it possible to get 24bit digital audio from my HDMI output to the digital inputs on the iBasso?
Is there a HDMI > optical or HDMI > coaxial converter/cable/plug/etc. available, and what would be a very good quality one?
how about this? [url] Will this support playback of 24bit FLAC files through the optical out?
I have recently purchased a sony cw with the i5 chip. I love it and have had it now for a little over a month.
the question i have though is that when I play a blu ray movie the sound is so extremely low. I have tried moving the sound bar on the PC as well as on the corel dvd window to max but the sound is still horribly low. If i put in headphones the sound is loud as it should be.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-SZ150P, but the sound doesn't work.
The previous owner said he made by acident a shortcut, near the keyboard connector.
The symptoms the driver does work, and when I look in the volume control I see a moving green bar, indicating the sound is produced, but it doesn't come out.
I tried with external speakers but no luck there.
It clearly is a hardware fault.
I can't find anything on the board that has to do with sound, can someone tell me where to look, and what to look for.
I bought my sony aw series it's working well. Just recently, I got a problem with my speaker laptop. when i try to open K-lite plaer or Window media player I sometimes get this Sizzy sound as if like the speaker is broken even i played the song at low volume but when i restart everything goes well. Sometimes this problem occurs? Is it my hardware or software driver problem?
Just got my vpccw26fw from best buy, love everything on it except the sound volume. The 100% sound volume on the CW is not even louder than the 50% on my Z.
Is this a driver issue or the hardware is built like that?
Is there any software to increase the sound volume?
Okay, well the day before yesterday I was trying to watch Youtube but when I clicked on a video it had no sound. I thought it was Youtube, so I exited the site and thought I'd wait a little bit. So then I went to Spotify to listen to some music. I kept clicking and clicking and nothing was happening. Then I noticed a blue notice at the top that said something about my soundcard not working properly.
I then checked everything on my computer to see if it had sound. Windows Media Player...no, videos on Facebook...nope, nothing was working. At first I thought it was my daughter. I let her watch Youtube when she lays down for a nap. I came in the other day and she was hitting all kinds of buttons on my computer. I stopped her though and everything seemed fine. I also remember my computer updating that day. Could it be that something went wrong with the update? I don't know if that's possible or not. Â And also, what is a soundcard. Do I have to buy it or do I download it??? Â I went to Yahoo answers and someone said to uninstall the drivers. I did that and then reinstalled them and it worked. The rest of that day I had sound on everything except for Facebook. Yesterday night it happened again and the sound has not returned since but my computer sounds are still working. When I logged on the computer made the log in sound it usually makes. I also tried to listen to a video with headphones and it still did not work. Â Again, I uninstalled the drivers and then re installed them and got nothing.Â
I am thinking of purchasing the new Sony Vaio Z Series Z-1190 from Sony Style USA.
When I browse Japanese Sony Style site regarding to the new Vaio Z, it says that it has Sound Reality, which enhances sound quality, but in Sony Style USA, it just says Intel® High Definition Audio. Does the US model have Sound Reality?
When you boot your Vaio you will hear a special chime, this is one of Sony Vaio's feature. I know that some people do not like this sound and disable it in the boot menu. On the contrary, I quite like this chime. I want to use it in my mobile phone as a ringtone or a message sound. I try to find it in my Vaio S36 but couldn't find it. Can anyone please help me find the boot sound file or tell me where it is located in hard drive?
I have a Sony Vaio 17 inch full HDMI laptop using Vista. I have been using a HDMI cable connected to my TV for a few months now all working fine yet today for no apparent reason the sound has started coming through my laptop rather than the TV. I have gone to the control panel and tried switching the default sound to the realtec digital however this did not work and I ended up with no sound at all.I have tried two different players both VLC and Zoom player.
when i play WMP videos the video gets all messed up. is this a problem with the graphics card?
i have a geforce 8400? or something like this. ive heard of booting problems but i have none...its just windows media player. PES 2009 and project64 run fine graphics wise
Does anyone know the speed of the SD card reader on Vaio TT? I am planning to run the Windows 7 from the HDD; and run Ubuntu from the flash card that I will be putting on that reader
For those with the new Sony Vaio Z11, how does the Sony MS card and the SD memory cards fit in their respective slots? Once inserted, are they flush against the notebook body contour or do they stick out?
Also, is there a locking mechanism that holds the cards in place? Or are the cards just wedged in there
im searching a way, how to change the graphic card.... How to replace the 9300M GS with a 9600M GT or something that are faster.
There must be a way to speedup the graphic... and we can construct a better cooling design.
I think a faster graphic card, like the 9600M GT, is better for the laptop, because, they have more pixel pipelines and all that.
I think if you underclock the graphic card, it will be much cooler and you can play much better games... in better performance, and much cooler as with the 9300M GS.....
High capacity SD cards of 4 GB or 8 GB (or even higher) has been in the market for some time. Can Sony Vaio TT read these high capacity cards without an adapter?
I read that Sony Vaio FW's ATI Radeon 4650 is underclocked. I'm wondering if this is only exclusive to FW's 4650 or all Sony dedicated graphic cards are underclocked?
I've been eyeing a Vaio Z-series (555 or the the 590 online-only in Canada) but I want to make absolutely sure that it contains a nVidia card (9300M GS 256MB).
When I go to the stores to look at the store model (Sony store & Best Buy), in Device Manager and Display setting, I only see the Intel Mobile graphics chips. No where on the system does it appear to say that it contains a nVidia card. I tried using the Stamina/Speed slider to see if there was a different (setting it to Speed), and the graphics card still says INTEL.
For all those who own a laptop from this series, what do you see?
Do *all* Vaio Z-series have a nVidia or only certain ones? Is it just a driver/software issue for the ones at the stores?
Does the (U.S) Vaio Z790 have a Sim card slot, for mobile broadband, i know the old models had one but does this model have one? Does it support HSPDA and/or 3G.
I've got a Sony Vaio FE model. The screen, processor, ram, wifi, etc. all work well except the graphics card (geforce go 7600). I can get my computer working but only at a resolution of 640x480. If I go to display properties and increase the resolution, the screen shows a bunch of white lines all across for a second and then restarts.
Its very hard to use a pc at that resolution! Sometimes I can change it to 1280x800 if i get the computer hot enough (weird, i know) but then (i guess) as soon as it starts to cool down the screen goes blank (after some time it will go back to 640x480 in 8-bit colour mode and show a nvidia nv4 error) and then I usually hold the power button to turn it off cuz I don't want to wait for the nv4 error which takes 10-15 mins.
The standard graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GT 330m, but the laptop's gaming performance could be higher with a 335m or even a 360m (for its premium price, I would like the ultimate machine if possible). How do these two other cards compare to the first in terms of size/motherboard compatibility/power drain? In other words, could I buy the Sony Vaio Z and successfully upgrade the graphics card aftermarket, and if I did so how would the new card(s) affect the laptop's battery life?
Are there any guides that would help me into the guts of the machine, and could I possibly proceed without voiding the warranty?
everything is great till now but i was checking to video card memory and its only showing 64MB ,, its should be 224 according to the specs "i know its 64MB dedicated memory"
i took a look to the BOIS and didn't find any option the increase the memory ,,, so what i have to do to take the full 224MB
I'm fairly sure that my graphics card has died, the startup screen has a green grid whenever I turn the laptop on, and it only runs in safe mode.
I'm aware that in terms of pricing this could either be quite modestly priced, or really horrific, depending on whether or not the card is part of the motherboard.
