I downloaded all the drivers for my vgn-fw510f/b and installed them. The bluetooth is not active on my laptop.
I installed SmartWi and it used to be in the bottom left corner, but it is not there anymore
I have a Pavilion G6 1247sa A3S29EA#ABU laptop. I had a problem with it and downloaded Windows 7 sp1 primium home addition.
There are some drivers missing.
There is a screen shot of device manager. There are no item id's with most of the hardware items with drivers missing as the ID's are not showing up.
I had to re-install Windows after a hacker locked my system. I hadn't had the unit long, so didn't lose tons of important data or files. But, I hadn't had time to really get to know my system either....so now I have the new issue of trying to determine what all the hardware is that is not recognized. I thought I would come to hp.com, find my drivers, download and be DONE.

If there weren't SO MANY drivers, this could be simple!
I have a Latitude E6410. Hard Drive crashed. Bought a new HD, installed and installed Windows 7 Home Premium. Got no wireless. Looking at Device Function I see no driver for:
Broadcom USH
Network Controller
Unknown Device
What drivers do I need and where to find??
I installed Windows 7 Home premium x64 on my freshly bought laptop HP 350 G1, but there are a lot devices not recognised. OK, I went to this site for drivers, saw windows 7 profesional and tried to install it, but installer is telling me that my OS (W7 HP x64) is not supported.
How and where can I get drivers for this laptop? And one more catch, I don't have ethernet/wireless drivers so I updating them via USB for now.
I am very interested in purchasing a new Sony L series ( all in one ) computer that comes with Windows 7 Home Premium installed

I want to upgrade this to a premium carbon fibre lid.
The ones in the UK for the SZ1-5 are a little bit cheaper. The North American models did not have an SZ5/X model.
Basically i would like to know were the designs for the SZ1-7 premium models any different? Or do the SZ6/X-SZ7/X models lids designed differently and if so how? Are they stronger etc?
Would one even fit? I think all the 13.3 LED models share the same screens so it should fit. If you have owned a SZ1-5/X and a SZ6/7/X how did they look to you?
I cannot find anything about a possible difference in patterns.

Just something I noticed one day by accident. I know a lot of people say that when comparing the black and the premium they look alike. Here is the subtle detail in the premium lid for all to enjoy. I was pretty amazed the first time I saw it, figured I should share.

i am trying to do for over one week . The problem is that i didn't even see the windows xp startup screen until now . My problem stats like this :
I insert the cd , setup begins and right after the txt mode drivers are loadead and until the hdd recognision should start , when the bar is prompting windows is starting ... blue screen 0x0000007B .
Ok now let's start resolving the problem .. nlite sata drivers , 4 whole days . i think i tryed every last piece of driver i could find . I think now i am able to make a whole collection of windows XP cd's but none of them worked.
I'm sure this has been answered somewhere but I can't find it. For $50 more you can get the premium carbon fiber color. Is this just a different paint job or a different case?

I am nervous that with black, I would feel as if I should have opt'd for Premium and if I get premium, I am nervous the notebook won't look as classy. I have seen black at the Sony style store however and it looked very classy.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed some windows updates to my computer. The next time I turned on my computer it didn't act normal at all. It went to a start-up repair screen which scanned for a long time only to tell me "start-up repair cannot fix this computer" so I shut down and left my computer. I called Dell's support line and talked with technical assistance, the guy had me run some tests and in the end told me that there was nothing wrong with the hard drive and that it was my systems software that was the problem. didn't wanna restore at that point because wanted to save my pictures.
I ended up taking the hard drive out, transferring pictures onto my brothers computer and then I did a full system restore ( by tapping f8, choosing repair my PC, then choosing "Dell data safe restore and emergency backup" in the system recovery options screen. ) This actually worked and I restored my computer, however after installing updates again (quite a few too, when I shut down my computer it said installing update 1 of 72?! )
My computer went back to the start up repair screen and did the same thing as before. restored my computer one more time, and now again after updates were installed my computer will not work correctly. I do have the windows product key under the battery but would like to know how I can fix this problem. Will have to reinstall my windows software?
I just bought a new hp zbook 15 that comes with FreeDos and I bought Win7 Home Premium SP1. I installed the windows and it works until i try to connect to the internet. It says "no connection available" and the icon has a red x on the bottom right. When I checked the "device manager", I saw that i don't have either the network controller nor the ethernet controller. View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the new VGN-Z690 and thought i would save some money by ordering it with the Home Premium (64bit) OS since I already had Vista Ultimate disks. I went to do an upgrade by installing the Ultimate disks, but the option to upgrade was greyed out.
The only option was to do a clean install, which I want to avoid due to all the other software that is on it already.

The only reason I was asking was because I was installing one of the shields on my iphone and a small part became affixed to my desk. When I tried to take it off, it took the paint off the desk as well. Not sure if the premium carbon design is painted on the lids... so I was wondering if I would have be facing similar issues if I put it on and decided to take it off later..
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy SZ was destroyed but the insurance is paying for it (hooray!), now I have to decide what notebook to get. I loved my SZ, it was thin (especially the screen), lightweight, fast, and well built. Makes me sad that they got rid of it. It appears that the next closest model is the Z, which seems nice but isn't quite the same. It looks as though the keys are smaller are further spaced apart (why??) and it looks a bit chunkier (especially the screen), although the other features seem nice.
if there will be a debut of any new business class premium notebooks at CES in a few weeks? Should I wait or just buckle down and get the Z?

Here I go , Why does this laptop have 5gb (4gb system ram and 1gb on the gpu) and a 32bit OS? I am waiting on the windows 7 upgrade but that will also be 32bit, Can I download a copy of windows 7 home premium x64 and use my genuine key, And if I do this can I get all the apps and drivers I need for full functionality of the laptop?
Also, When I turned it on brand new it is using 43% system memory, How much crap is on this thing lol? Is the upgrade cd for windows 7 a full new install or does it just upgrade the os without formatting the drive? Will the drivers needed for the laptop be bundled in the upgrade cd?
Anyone overclocked the cpu or gpu in this lappy?
I am having problems with the internal microphone located at the top of the display on the HP G60 notebook PC, pre-loaded with the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. All OS, PC drivers and system ROM have been updated to current.
The sound it produces is at best barely audible or usually completely inaudible. This is true when I use the internal Sound Recorder app as well as when I try to utilize Windows Live and Skype for either audio or video calls. The fact it behaves this way using Sound Recorder proves it has nothing to do with firewalls or internet latency. Also, I can hear and see the people I'm trying to communicate with just fine.
I first noticed the problem on an HP G60t system I purchased from hpshopping.com in early December 2009, which was a custom build and shipped to me. I opened a case with support and they told me I would have to ship it back for repair or I could just return it. I returned it.
Figuring I was just unlucky enough to get a bad system, I then went to Best Buy in late December 2009 and bought a second HP G60, this time a G60-535DX, which was similarly configured. Guess what? The exact same problem.
I have been researching these HP support forums and the customer reviews posted at bestbuy.com for the HP G60. It seems many people are having the exact same problems. I have tried all of the suggestions I have found, including the following, but nothing changes the fact the microphone quality on two HP G60 notebooks purchased from separate retail outlets / inventories is extremely poor and essentially non functional.

Where can I find the Windows 7 drivers for SZ series. Its a pity that sony just says that the hardware is not compatible. They just suck at the support which they should be providing and now us guys.
