I know notebook are not made for oc because they overheat very fast, but i already got a solution for it ,i modify my back off the notbook and put in another cooler.
I got no idea how to overclock because u cant make it on Bios...
Acer Aspire 7520 G
Microsoft Windows XP Professional sp3
CPU Typ Mobile DualCore AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64, 2200 MHz (11 x 200)
I have problem with my Acer Aspire 7520G. When I turn it on, after memory check and disk check I got messages:
Resource Conflict PCI Serial Bus Controler in slot 01 Bus:01 Device:04 Function:00 ERROR Bus:01 Device:04 Function:01 ERROR Bus:01 Device:04 Function:02 ERROR Bus:01 Device:04 Function:03 ERROR Bus:01 Device:04 Function:04 ERROR
after this wont boot neither from HDD nor CD/DVD. Just blink currsor apears.
After a few of restarts, if I got luck, it will boot up "normally". I checked in Windows system that Bus 01 Device 04 is acctualy

Aspire 7520G, Realtek audio installed, Logitech Z-10 USB speakers and Steelseries Siberia Neckband Headset with additional sound card (see pic).
So. When I switch off winamp, plug out speakers and plug-in my headset - its not working! The most interesting thing is when I just plug-in in the headset without sound card (just directly to the note) - it works!
I dont know why, but earlier it was working properly with this external sound regulator. And now not.
I suppose, it might be because of USB/analog switching or something similar, but I dont know..
I have Acer Travelmate 7520G (Turion TL-58) and upgraded from 2G of 667Mhz RAM to 4G of 800Mhz, however the memory is still running at 667Mhz and FSB:RAM being CPU/6. Chipset here is Ati RS690 and according to Everest it supports 800Mhz DDR2. There is no option in bios to change the RAM frequency or divider.. I have tried updating the bios with no luck.
My Acer Aspire 7520G suddenly refused to boot, leaving blank screen only. No boot logo or anything. However, after googling around a bit, I found one thread with a solution, which is to press hard around the touchpad, and to my big surprise it did indeed work.
So does anyone know what's wrong with the computer that behaves this way? I never found the cause, and before I start disassembling the laptop, it would be nice to know what to look for. (Can't take it to the service as warranty expired a couple of months ago)

I am looking to upgrade the internal wireless card of my dv6408nr to a card that supports draft N networking. I tried an extra Intel 4965 a/b/g/n card my friend had and the computer would not even boot. Is anyone aware of an internal card that would work? I hate to order something and have it lock up like the Intel card caused. Alternatively is there a way to make the Intel 4965 work? FWIW, I am looking to avoid a USB or Express Card solution.
I hope this is not too off topic... I have a M1710 running Vista, am wondering what peeps are using in the way of cable wireless routers? I have a Belkin N1 with WPA2 running a 50Mb cable modem... I seem to have terrible wireless throughput perhaps max 300K but when I plug into the WAN port I get the full portion... about 47000k.
I am running in mixed mode, router has latest f/w and I have tried just running in N only with no success... Anyone here have any success?
I have tried our 54g wireless router here at work and it has a 20Mb connection and I get full bandwidth.
I have installed a V-lited version of vista onto my acer aspire one, but cant get the Lan to work or the Wlan, the Wlan doesnt even show up in the device manager and i cant find drivers for it as i dont know wat module it is.
Does anyone know which wireless card it is or were i can find drivers for the wlan?
Also i cant find a driver for the ethernet controller.
I tried to upgrade the wlan module in my Acer TravelMate 4233WLMi from the original Intel 3945abg mini-pci module to the Intel 4965abn mini-pci.
Windows Vista immediately recognised the new module, installed the drivers and noted the the new interface is now up and running and ready for use.
In fact it's not - the wlan-led on the front of the notebook stays dark - when I tried to switch it on via the front panel switch the notebook displays "no wlan module found".
The device manager in Vista still displays it as up and running.
I put in the original module again and the switch, led and wlan works again.
So my question is whether I received a faulty 802.11n module or whether the 4965abn is simply incompatible with the Acer 4233WLMi ...
I have recently performed a clean install of windows 7 on my Acer TravelMate 5520G which used to run Vista. The whole process took the best part of 15 min...
All works *very* well apart from the orange WLAN LED at the front of the laptop (next to the bluetooth LED). WiFi functions fine and so does the WLAN switch. Except for the strange fact that when WLAN is ON the LED is OFF and when WLAN is switched OFF the LED comes ON!
The 802.11g network adapter driver installed is that of Broadcom version 5.30.21.0. Installing LaunchManager does not solve the problem.
Of course not a major problem, but the LED used to indicate WiFi connection status by flashing on&off, pretty handy.
how to go forward to get it to work as per normal?
I have the 4965AGN WLAN on my lappy and I'm getting speed of 144Mb/s on my wireless network. I have another computer with Edimax 7728n wireless pci card and with it i can get up to 300Mb/s. I want to try to upgrade my 4965 to a new 5300 mini pcie so maybe my speed will improve. I wonder if the 5300 will work on my lappy ?
some hppened to windows vista installed and i was left with no option but to format. i downgraded to xp sp3 and installed all the drivers. but wlan and bluetooth are not working even i have installed the drivers. it seems that the buttons on the unit are not working.
I bought an ACER Aspire 7720G Intel Core 2 Duo with Vista SP1 3 weeks ago and have now some problems with my WLan and with booting after sleep. WLan only works when I restart the computer after swiching on the WLan connection either by pressing the WLan button or by activating the connection in "networks and sharing center" (at least it works then, but it's annoying to restart the computer all the time). Since I use WLan at home I get a message while booting the system (Broadcom UNDI PXE.... Client... MAC ADDR:... GUID... DHCP ...not found..blabla). I use a Lan connection at work and here I have no problems yet. My second problem is that my computer really stays asleep after I woke it up from sleep or just if I would not use it some minutes. It does not show any system related information anymore and I can only restart it again. I have looked up my BIOS and it is Version 1.44 (read the thread about the BIOS problems),
WLAN is shown in device manager as functional, it even can find networks in range and everything. But when I want to connect to a network it gets to a point when it asks me for the username and pass, and stops there. The error sometimes says that it can't identify the server or that i should just try to reconnect. I tried connecting to various networks, and I can't even make it tell me that my pass is wrong... It seems that it isn't able to communicate with the server. It passes Intel wlan tests until the 'association' test.
Rainstalling the drivers and/or the windows didn't help, should I send it for RMA?
When I put the brand new Intel Wireless-AC7260 WLAN Card into Acer Aspire V3-471G, it got problems. It unable to go BIOS, keyboard hang (Unable to type), it crash the Windows 7 and 8.1. Is it possible to upgrade to Intel Wireless AC-7260 WLAN Card into the Acer Aspire V3-471G. My Acer Aspire V3-471G Configurations, Intel Core i5 3230M 2.60Ghz, 8GB RAM, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 710M, Windows 8 (Downgraded To Windows 7).
My Broadcom 802.11 b/g shows up on the Taskbar (Compaq 515 Win7 HomePro 64 bit) as a removable device just like a jumpdrive. Is this normal? I 'safely remove' the device and my wireless connection goes off for a minute then comes back up (according to my HP Wireless Assistant). No harm, no foul, it just seems odd.
I have an HP 255 G2 Notebook PC with the product number F0Z56EA, running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I installed the OS and the drivers for the laptop just a few days ago. Everything is running fine, except that the WLAN option is not displayed anywhere and I cannot connect the laptop to my wifi.  When I open the device manager, it shows "other devices" with a question mark and underneath "Network Controller" with a yellow exclamation mark.  I tried installing the Qualcomm network driver for my model, but during installation, the message "Device cannot be found, installation terminated" is being shown.
Aftera clean Vista Installation on my Vaio Z11WN/B my Wlan doesnt work! Can you help me? In the device manager is no driver for the network controller and the hsdpa globetrotter modem and the notebook cant find any driver on the internet!
If I want to upgrade my M4400's WLAN from Dell's 1397 card to an Intel 5300 card, do I need to install an additional (3rd) antenna or isit already installed?
A friend of mines Inspiron 1521 keeps getting a Dell Wireless WLAN error when windows vista home premium loads. No matter how I try to get into widows (normal or safemode) all I get is a black screen.
No taskbar, start menu, nothing, nada, zip. I found this thread that tells me what the issue is but I can't get to device manager to either uninstall the driver or update it .....
Has anyone else gotten this same alert? "WLAN Card Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close." Every so often I get this message, my computer is fine and my wireless is also fine, I just get that message. I have the 1395 mini-card, if that makes a difference.
Also, I have noticed that my wireless signal gets dropped sometimes for no reason. It might be the routers fault but I'm not sure.
