I have been unable to find the controls of the Webcam. Is the software already installed or do I have to download it? If so, what do I download and where do I find it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy ageing XPS M1710 seems to be having an issue since upgrading it to Windows 8. With Windows 8, it's runs lovely, a lot quicker than other OS's, but recently the graphics card seems to be having problems.
I was unable to find a Win 8 driver for the 7950 GTX so I'm using the Nvidia 179.48 Win 7 64bit driver, in order to get the full 1920 resolution. However I seem to keep getting a problem where I get zig zag lines across the screen, sometimes blacks out and comes back with a warning that the Nvidia Vista driver stopped work and recovered.I've read various posts talking about adjusting power save options, underclocking and heat. Also noticed a post that it's more common on 64bit systems than 32 so I'm tempted to rebuild it with 32bit media rather than the 64 I could only get my hands on at the time.
I'm using HP 15-n240tx laptop.I have installed windows 8 and I can't find drivers for that OS. Any link to download all the drivers?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've bought Lenovo M490s notebook one week ago without OS. I've installed Windows 7 Professional x64 retail.First of all I could not find software that controls Function keys. After installing every driver and software from support page (M490s) my function keys just doesnt work except Fn+F1 sleep, Fn+F2 turn off the screen, Fn+F6 disable touchpad and play buttons. Also no information was displaying on the screen after pressing such buttons - no volume and brightness level.
After doing some research I've found and installed Hotkey Features Integration from Lenovo M490 (without S) support page. Every function key is started to work, information on the screen also begin to display (volume and brightness level).Now I spotted a huge problem, after 3 or 4 hibernation volume and brightness keys (fn+up,down,left,right) just stopping to work!!! Fn+F1-F12 combinations are working normal. Then after reboot brightness and volume keys are working again!!

USBVID_0BDA&PID_0129&REV_3960 and the scrolling with mousepad/touchpad (two fingers) doesn't work .... I read here i have to intall intel IO drivers but which one?! if its possible with links.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to find a working AHCI driver (Windows XP) for my Elitebook 8570p. I want do use both Windows 7 and XP on it but I can't install windows XP while in AHCI mode. I've tried to use the driver posted in here: [URL] ..... but that did not work for me. I just get bluescreen when I try to install, I've tried all 4 verisions of the driver but none works. I boot on the dvd and press f6 to add the driver before the installation but I need some other driver......

the problem is it constantly stays in a loop, i load and boot from the disc, it copies all the files, reboots, loads the files, says starting windows, and then just starts all over by going back to the setup screen. i've formatted the drive and made multiple attempts. had anyone else had this problem? if so what is the solution?
I have an ACER ASPIRE 5755 laptop with 4GB RAM and 500 GB Disk. Now the issue I am facing is, it doesn't boot up. It just sits at a screen for sometime and then even if we reboot it goes to the same screen which is much prior to loading Windows and I believe just after the POST. I checked in the BIOS that hard-drive was not getting detected. I unplugged replugged ..took it out, put it back in but nothing worked. Than I removed that hard-drive and replaced it with a working hard-drive of my fren's & eventually it booted up fine. Hence this isolates to be an issue with the hard drive. Now my question is that, "is there any upper limit on the size of the hard-drive (as the inboxed one was 500GB)". I am planning to take 1TB hard drive. So will that work In addition to this, is there any link provided by Acer which I can browse and check what all Hard-drives are supported / compatible / recommended by Acer. I have been a big fan of Acer Laptops from a long time and would not want to buy a new laptop just because of this simple hard drive issue.

Although, I just can't find a internet driver for my laptop model. I know there is one. I've seen HP experts provide drivers to other people on the forum while they downgraded as well just like me.

WLAN is shown in device manager as functional, it even can find networks in range and everything. But when I want to connect to a network it gets to a point when it asks me for the username and pass, and stops there. The error sometimes says that it can't identify the server or that i should just try to reconnect. I tried connecting to various networks, and I can't even make it tell me that my pass is wrong... It seems that it isn't able to communicate with the server. It passes Intel wlan tests until the 'association' test.
Rainstalling the drivers and/or the windows didn't help, should I send it for RMA?
After upgrading to Windows 8.1 x64 bit, my bluetooth is not detecting and cannot be detected by other devices (my mobile phone). In device manager, I have NO yellow triangles with exclamation marks, when I search automatically for updates, windows says everything is up to date (see picture below) so everything seems fine and running. Bluetooth is on but after searching does not find devices (even if the phone is also on bluetooth).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI used the upgrade kit from Acer to do a clean install of Windows 7 to my Timeline 1410. Everything works great and I love this laptop... except that the brightness controls (Fn+Left/Right Arrow) do not work. It's locked at highest brightness.
I am at my wit's end trying to figure this out.
I have installed all the Win 7 drivers from Acer's site, particularly
- Newest bios
- Launch Manager
- Chipset drivers
- Intel graphics drivers
When I first boot it up, the brightness controls work fine during the BIOS steps. But once Windows takes over, the controls no longer function. In the Windows Mobility Center, there is no brightness control panel. [FWIW, my Dell, which does have functional brightness control, doesn't show one either.] All other Fn-combinations, like volume control, work fine.

I got my studio 1340 five days ago, and haven't check it before I format the old system,(home premium)so,after I installed vista ultimate I got two problem now.
first, the wifi switch only can turn on the lights of bluetooth,never turn on the wifi light,but wifi looks perfect when I online by my router.
under vista ultimate 64 or vista ultimate 32, I add driver as dell said: chip vedio, erthnet wireless bluetooth, sound etc ....
I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 on my SZ5. Was surprised at how much works out of the box (fingerprint sensor, drivers etc) but the one glaring bug I found is that when I close the lid and the monitor shuts off, when I reopen it the brightness controls (FN+F5 and FN+F6) no longer work.
I also notice that the brightness controls in Windows' power options Control Panel disappears.
I need to restart my computer to resolve this (similar problems by other users: Sony Vaio SZ1XP - Windows 7 RC ). Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!
