Oct 26, 2014After upgrading to Windows 8.1 x64 bit, my bluetooth is not detecting and cannot be detected by other devices (my mobile phone). In device manager, I have NO yellow triangles with exclamation marks, when I search automatically for updates, windows says everything is up to date (see picture below) so everything seems fine and running. Bluetooth is on but after searching does not find devices (even if the phone is also on bluetooth).

Feb 24, 2013My ageing XPS M1710 seems to be having an issue since upgrading it to Windows 8. With Windows 8, it's runs lovely, a lot quicker than other OS's, but recently the graphics card seems to be having problems.
I was unable to find a Win 8 driver for the 7950 GTX so I'm using the Nvidia 179.48 Win 7 64bit driver, in order to get the full 1920 resolution. However I seem to keep getting a problem where I get zig zag lines across the screen, sometimes blacks out and comes back with a warning that the Nvidia Vista driver stopped work and recovered.I've read various posts talking about adjusting power save options, underclocking and heat. Also noticed a post that it's more common on 64bit systems than 32 so I'm tempted to rebuild it with 32bit media rather than the 64 I could only get my hands on at the time.

Acer :: 6920G WLAN Can Find Networks But Unable To Connect
Nov 7, 2008WLAN is shown in device manager as functional, it even can find networks in range and everything. But when I want to connect to a network it gets to a point when it asks me for the username and pass, and stops there. The error sometimes says that it can't identify the server or that i should just try to reconnect. I tried connecting to various networks, and I can't even make it tell me that my pass is wrong... It seems that it isn't able to communicate with the server. It passes Intel wlan tests until the 'association' test.
Rainstalling the drivers and/or the windows didn't help, should I send it for RMA?

Aug 16, 2014I just installed Windows 8 on my HDX 16 and I quickly found out the drivers for the network adapters are not installed by default. When I go to HP's website, there are no drivers for Windows 8, just Windows 7. When I tried installing windows 7 drivers, it told me it was the wrong verson. That was for the Ethernet port. For my wifi, it's telling me I need to have .net framework 2.0 or higher, and won't let me install that driver. After making sure I installed the latest version, it still doesn't detect that I have the latest .net.

Place it into second free slot.
Result - BIOS shows only 4 GB RAM and Windows shows same 4 GB RAM(something aroung 3.8 GB)
Tried to replace second ram stick but same result.
