I bought a used 5315 off ebay. It turned out to have a bad hard drive but I was able to save the pqservice partition and clone it to another drive. I successfully performed a restore and it is up and running. Just for future reference, I would like the service manual for this model but can't find it here.
trying to find a SERVICE Manual for the Sony VGN-NW series. Sony are not providing them to the general public officially because of:
"In many of our products, dangerously high voltage remains in the system circuitry long after the unit has been disconnected from all power sources. For other products, our internal design and engineering data is both proprietary and confidential. Maintaining the security of this type of information is instrumental to our success as a business entity."
Could it compromise their success, or rather their income from hardware support ?
Danger form high voltage? No such a thing is possible in a laptop if one disconnects the power cable.
The above seems to me unacceptable when Dell, HP etc. provide free Service Manuals to anyone, on their Web sites.
I rescued an old laptop (Compaq Presario 1200XL500) from the recycling bin and would like to make it usable for a sixth grader. It boots with the base RAm but I would have to add one module. I need to find a user and/or service manual first so that I understand what this old laptop needs. No manuals seem to be available on the HP site. Are there other sites where I might find one?
I have installed the one key recovery driver , but don know why it's not functioning~after i press the one key recovery button, it shows "the program can not find the service partition, this function is currently unavailable" instead of asking me to reboot into the system recovery environment.
How to install the window correctly so that i wont lost the one key recovery function
I tried to to recover from onekey recovery key I use system recovey mode but at that time i got error:"The program cannot find service partition. This function currently unavailable ."
My system work normally... I wont my lappy factory default...
How long usually it take for Acer to service laptop?
i want to compare it with other country whether its faster or not.
my laptop go to service center at March, now its already May 2009 and my laptop is still on the service center. (the dvd drive wont eject discs, its slot-in type)
usually they (acer) only take 1 or 2 month but now it become 3 months >_>
last time when they change the LCD and Battery and DVD-RW Drive it only take about a month (yups, 3 parts are replaced by acer, for free)
I really need the detailed (exploded views, part numbers, screw counts, repair/breakdown information ect...) soon, I was given (for fixing a customers old Dell) a 3680-2682 for nada, but it has a shattered LCD screen. I've got a replacement on the way but I need the service manual for obvious reasons...
I want to put this bluetooth module [url] into my notebook Aspire 5720G, but I don't have the service manual.
I tried to find it on internet, but I wasn't successful. I found only sites, where they want money for it... It should be teh same for Aspire 5520 series (both are the same Nettiling).
I was just wondering if there is anyone who has an Aspire 6920G service guide? I have an acer aspire 6920G with 3GB RAM, 1.83GHz CPU, 320GB with an intel GMA x3100. is upgrading the GPU on this possible?
I bought acer travelmate 3284 several years ago (perhaps in 2006). The biggest problem of my laptop is the very high temperature which appeared whenever the laptops idle.
I plan to disassamble my laptop, but i don't have the service manual. I searched several times in google and forums, but found nothing.
lookin for the service manual for aspire 2920, i am planning to install the internal bluetooth but don't know the the connector is located on the board
I'm trying to open the display to change the lcd on my aspire 5050, but I can't get the cover off around the top under the built in webcam, and don't want to break it. Does anyone have a service manual or can guide me on what I need to do to get the cover off around this area?
I need to know how to get the memory cover off. Even after removing the four screws it acts like one corner near the indent by the RAM icon is snapped into it or glued down. The cover is huge, over half the bottom of the case.
I'm also interested in upgrading the 1.73 Ghz Celeron M 530 if it's possible. Eventually I plan to upgrade the DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive to a DVD burner, so the manual will be handy for that too.
